I hope I'm wrong but have a feeling that this fifa thing might be effecting transfers yes wolves are confident they've done nothing wrong BUT if they start spending they might then argue we'll you can pay what the want I just have one of these bad feelings about it.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think it bothers the club. They say they ain't done anything wrong as Patricio was a free agent when he signed. The 2 clubs had agreed to a few but Sporting backed out. FIFA will probably say that we have to pay the fee originally agreed. The release fee does not need to be met as Sporting under the old directorship allowed the contract to be terminated. The fact that a new regime has taken over does not allow the club to reinstigate a terminated contract. Also Sporting cannot ask for Patricio to pay any future wages back. It's like me having 20 years left to work in my current job and if I resign, they ask me to pay them back the next 20 years wages they would have paid me. Bottom line is that Sporting are desperate as Patricio is one of 7 players who will walk away for nothing thanks to the old regime treating them like sh*t.

Matt- I REALLY wouldn't lose any sleep over it fella cause it will all have been planned for by Fosun. You don't build up the empire they have without foreseeing the odd legal dispute, this ain't there first rodeo and they would have had legal teams looking over it before we even agreed the deal! So I'm sure it won't be affecting current transfer policy.
Besides historically when it comes to legal disputes more often than not the side with the biggest pockets does ok simply because of the legal force they can throw at it and I don't see why that wouldn't be the case here! We will of course HAVE to pay a fee as FIFA can't have this as a precedent case for peeps just walking from there contracts but I think what will go in our favour will be the £16m 'agreed' for him just weeks before. Reckon it will be max a £25m payout but even then it will be contingent on apps. If you look at the way these tribunals usually work its usually like £16m up front then say £500k after 10 apps, 20 apps etc or after Champs league apps (dream a dream)! Either way all pocket change to Fosun so like I say I feel pretty confident that they know what they are doing! Only concern for me is that it does shine an unwanted light on Mendes influence and they may try and crack down on that but even then they could only make that a new policy going forward because as we've already seen once as things stand today we've done nought wrong! COYW ;)

one would hope that a multi national corporation would have the nouse to spot a legal pitfall and subsequent problems. everything reported (i use that term very loosely) is extremely amateurish including the complaints to fifa (that bastion of truth lol) . fear not, it requires corruption to thrive in this sordid world.

I hope your all right here I really do, but I’m hoping that transfer activity will pick up and that we’re being slow as the quality we are targeting and due to individual positions but thanks guys being only 20 makes it hard not to worry I’m sure you’ll understand that haha.

Fosun stated last time. The transfers were looked into complaints from villa and Leeds and co they now all the rules in the book they have nothing wrong wol will haft to pay the transfer fee agreed in the first place which was 18mill sporting r blaming us but wol had nothing to do with it.

I think we currently have several deals on the go some waiting on us and some where we are waiting on others. Some of our negotiations are just back-up in case the original deal falls through. Maybe also having a last look at the existing squad like Hause, Cameron John, Goncalves and Giles to see if any of them could be anywhere near joining the squad. I really don't think they are over worrying about the Sporting complaint. BUT I do think it probably knocks on the head us doing much business with Sporting for a while.
