First time I've seen us linked with Adama Traore. My opinion he is the perfect sort of player for us.
Great competition for the wingers we have. Blistering pace. Tall skilful.
On think he would go on to do some great things for us. Not a starter but a nice squad addition.

Fair enough might not have been as tall as I thought.
But he is definitely good enough for the step up. His pace is unreal. In almost every game I watched him the defenders were having to double up. Knocking it round them running full length of the pitch. Kid is dangerous. And great in tight situations. Watch his 2018 highlights. I know you might say well that's just a few clips. Well worth a watch.

He had 45 minutes against us when he looked OK. He was useless at Villa and very inconsistent for the vast majority of last season.

How many games did you watch him play though? . Saw a few and was at one them he was electric in all of what I saw.

Saw him about 10 times and he weren't all that. If he didn't get the ball, he simply stopped playing.

I only saw Traore play once last season and that was against us. He was their best player and I was impressed. Like I said it was only once.! âš½ï¸ðŸ˜‰ðŸ‘.

Our system could get the best out of him. Just look at Cav previous year to this one, totally different player. Traore is fast, direct and strong. Well worth a gamble.
{Ed047's Note - Possibly but if it were me id 100% be going for Gelson Martins on a free as Wolves can offer him better wages than he was on, regular first time football in a better league, he would be re united with his old Captain and friend in Patricio and also he would settle in easy with Jota, Cav, Costa etc already at the club}.

I watched Traore a few times last season and sometimes you just can’t get the ball off him.
Bring Cav and Traore on I’m the second half to grab the game by the scruff of the neck. Against us, Traore was taking the mick. It took 2-3 players to foul him before they got near the ball.
£18m, well worth it. Compliments our current set of wide forwards. I watched as Mbappes pace was unstoppable against Argentina. Traore is that quick. Develop better awareness and end product and there’s a great player there.
Hope this rumour is true.

I am not against a move for Traore, but I have to agree with Ed47 - Gelson Martins is player with a lot of potential and much better value.
{Ed047's Note - Adama will cost a lot, Martins is on a free minus the usual fees etc, with a lot of Portuguese players already at the club and a manager who plays good attacking football i think it's a no brainer}.

Traore was something else against us at Boro. I can't remember any other player last season causing such mayhem in our defence. We had three players on him at times and he could only be stopped by fouling him.

Many people on here who reckon Wolves can just choose to sign a player then sign them. Traore has potential and if we get him at a good price could compliment what we have. I think we'd all prefer Martins, but as a free agent he will have dozens of clubs after him - including Champions League clubs - and be asking for an eye-watering singing on fee in lieu of transfer fee. We're nothing special yet and can't just sign someone because our owners have cash. However, we'll still do some mind blowing business this window and I can't wait for the season to start.

I'm more confused by why we are being tied with wingers right now when its hardly the most urgent position needed for improvement is it?! I suspect this is (again) another agent using us to try and drum up interest, I would just point out (again) that Cav started half of last season on the bench! Also pretty laughable how highly people seem to rate players that have simply managed to shine BECAUSE they are playing at their level (in this case the Championship)! When Adama was in the Prem he was regularly berated by pundits everywhere for having all the pace and no clue what to do with it! He was also prone to being lazy and simply disappearing for entire halves! He's what I call a Match of the Day player, as in looks great in 10 mins highlights just not so great over 90 mins! And before peeps say it of course he looks good in the Chump but then so did Mark Kennedy, Shaun Newton, Anthony Knockheart, Bakary Sako (I could go on but I think peeps get the point)!
Gelson Martins would be an absolute dream not to mention a different class of player to Adama! However I fear he would be a dream signing for around half the clubs in Europe right now, fingers crossed then! COYW ;)

Traore what a joke. What's the point in signing a player who has to take all the opposition on and does not like to pass the ball. No thanks.
