So I was looking through here and I had to make a comment after people started hitting out at thelwell after his comments yesterday well if people cast there mind back 2-3 weeks. I'm sure him and nuno said they wouldn't be doing any business until they have told players of there futures. so ie players here on loan and permanently already here so wolves have decided to buy Afobe, boly and jota for 12.5m, 10m and 13m totalling 35.5m.

I don't see any more loanee signings being made permanent now they were part of last seasons squad now I'm guessing they would of already told the players here permanently of there futures and no I don't see Danny batth leaving either. I don't think he's going to play regularly, but I don't see him playing regularly bit like this season.

so now cast your mind forward to the comments of thelwell the other day saying they want a squad of players of about 19/20 and I'm guessing possibly 1-2 depending on who is available so that 19/20 would be including the players from last season so you take these players with you Ruddy, batth, Bennett, coady, boly, doc, Douglas, saiss, neves, mgw, costa, cav, jota, Afobe.

14 players it then now allows wolves to bring in the 4-5 quality players to take the squad up to the 19/20 they want and maybe 1-2 more like I say depending on who becomes available and letting go Norris loan, Burgoyne loan/ sold, Miranda sold, hause loan, ofosu-Ayeh loan/ sold, Mir loan, bright loan.

if you actually think about it and look at what I've just said it all adds up so don't worry we'll bring in the quality thelwell was on about at any point from now and the other thing with Danny batth is who's going to pay his wages or fee with 3 years left on his contract after his wages would also go up so other reason I can't see him going but I hope you all see my point and relax a little now.

Need to add Iorfa, Ebanks-Landell, Marshall, Oniangue, Gladon and Zyro to the list to get rid of as they are all senior squad players.

Yes jas m forgot about those but I’m sure you see my point pal.

Good thinking Matt but you need to factor in there has to be 8 "Home Grown" players in the official squad presented to the PL.
SO will be interesting to see who the 8 are.

I do. Any all I can say is that with the right signings we will be comfortable in the PL next season.

There's 8 in Matt's list I think. And I presume those who haven't been playing won't be playing - JasM's list plus Mason and Graham who I believe are still on our books.

We might sell Bennett, Batth and even Ruddy if better options present themselves. Leaving Coady, Doc, Douglas, MGW and Afobe as home grown players (and Norris? ) and the need to sign 3 more or keep Bright and Burgoyne on our first team books. Interesting.

Not sure if Doherty and Douglas class as home grown.

31 May 2018 19:52:20
Doherty does but not sure about Douglas. So will become important just who the 8 are.

Douglas does not qualify as home grown as he was not associated with an FA or a Welsh FA club for 3 years prior to his 21st birthday.

You do not have to name home grown players in 25 man squad . you can have 17 non home grown players and up to 8 home grown players as well but you can name a squad of 22 with only 5 home grown . U21's do not count to the 25 man squad . Doherty is clear as home grown confirmed by FA and EFL . Doherty is home grown.
