Hello everyone hope your all well been meaning to post this since Jeff did his interview but only just got round to actually doing it.

Jeff came out and said " by planning earlier it allows us to watch the candidates (players) to see who fits and who don't and to speak to clubs " so they have already spoken to clubs and the players agents and that to know how much and if they'd wanna come.

am I the only one as Jeff said wanted everything done by end of June so would have ( as we always go back a few days earlier than the first of July ) around about 6 weeks and few days after the season finishes on the may 7th.

am I the only one that's expecting immediate arrivals clearly what Jeff has said that will be the case our close season could be very exciting UTW.

Hope you are right Matt!
I believe Fosun have demonstrated they are not a "Morgan" and they fill me with confidence, even more now they have a better handle on what they are doing!
As I and many, many others have said, a new "Spine" please. and ship out the League 1 dross, like Saville, Price and Evans etc.

12 Apr 2017 11:12:47
Fingers crossed Matt our business is done early and the players brought in are quality and through the spine of the team. We don't need squad players we need players who are an upgrade on what we've got and will go straight into the first team.

12 Apr 2017 12:18:17
Agree guys also let's get costa's future sorted ASAP one way or the other the last thing we need is to have this hanging over us all summer, thinking is he going / is he staying and then lose him on the last day of the transfer window when it would be harder to replace him .

12 Apr 2017 12:28:00
One of Lamberts statements earlier was he's only buying player who will go straight in the 1st 11. No point in more squad players we have more than enough and with youth coming through its looking "brighter" but there's a hell ova lot of work to be done undoing previous contracts. Gladon for example.

12 Apr 2017 13:18:50
I think the Costa situation will inevitably run on throughout the summer there's nothing we can do about that however Zyro should be fit by then hopefully adding back up, he actually had a better minutes per goal average (149) before the injury than costa this season (246)

12 Apr 2017 14:25:00
Yh hopefully everything gets done clearly there already progressing on few targets and lambert saying 3-4 quality saignings and Jeff shi saying they want to be where Newcastle Brighton are clearly there going to spend money on those.

12 Apr 2017 14:46:12
Your probably right RuncornWolf but there's being fit and then there's being match fit just look at Dicko he's been fit all season but he's been nowhere near the same player he was two season's ago. I don't believe Zyro or graham will be anywhere near 100% match fit for the start of the new season so in my opinion I'd get replacement for Costa if he's sold.

12 Apr 2017 15:16:59
Sorry RuncornWolf but imo Zyro couldn't lace Costa's boots, we need to keep Costa and get players of his quality around him if we're serious about promotion.

12 Apr 2017 16:25:39
Personally we have to in my opinion build a team around CAV and Costa, CAV should never have been dropped last week what he'll he supposed to do at 3-0 down? Also yh may have look very tired on Tuesday but even then with the way he plays a drags players to great space others is clearly you know and when he came on Saturday he actually made a bit of difference if he'd come on after we gone 1-0 down or even at half time think we may have got something on sat but going back to original point got to build a team around Costa and CAV for me.

12 Apr 2017 17:17:36
I heard on the radio about 3 weeks ago that Paul Lambert and the recruitment team wanted to copy Huddersfield in that all the players were signed before pre season started so that the squad could all work towards the managers way of thinking without players coming in in fits and starts and playing catch up. To be fair, it's worked for Huddersfield.

12 Apr 2017 18:35:21
Jeff shi said they've already held talks with clubs so I'm guessing they'll be close to doing some business jas.

12 Apr 2017 19:32:23
Personally I like to see Steven Cook (Bournemouth) and Sebastien Haller (Utrecht) brought in permanently and Rueben Loftus Cheek on loan if possible.

12 Apr 2017 20:09:49
These would of be my targets
Britt assombalonga
Sam Gallagher
Josh vela
Aden flint
Greg Cunningham

Young hungry players and players who have proved it at this level.

13 Apr 2017 14:40:34
Assombolonga hasn't proved it especially not this year. Vela went down with Bolton and wasn't there star man. Agree with flint and Gallagher not a bad shout.

13 Apr 2017 14:55:08
I think everyone is planning for next season a bit too early yet. we are still not mathematically safe. let's not shoot ourselves in the foot!

13 Apr 2017 17:40:53
Flint, Paulista, Cummingham and another CB and CM for me.

13 Apr 2017 20:03:05
Would have to disagree on assombalonga Liam 27 apps (17 starts 10 sub) 10 goals 1 assist that isn't bad and I think he would be worth a punt on but it's all about opinions.

13 Apr 2017 22:17:23
Assombalonga would be the perfect partner for a struggling Dicko, but not sure if Lambert will play 442.

Ikeme
Iorfa Batth Hause Doherty
Costa Price Saiss Cavaliero
Dicko Assombalonga

Wouldn't be a bad team to start against lower end teams.

14 Apr 2017 10:50:48
In my opinion Dicho as to start scoring goals next season from the start, or he as to be moved on if he is not scoring, cannot keep waiting for him to score goals as much as I like him, they get paid a lot of money to do the business and we need to be challenging for promotion, so sorry if you think I am being hard on him but he as to do better.

14 Apr 2017 11:12:24
No Edwards StuuCorbett?

14 Apr 2017 12:52:57
No edwards in a 442, he's much more suited to a 3 man midfield, although he's had a good goals return this season I do think Edwards is limited, but seems a great bloke and good to have around the club. I have no doubt he will end up being a coach here.

14 Apr 2017 17:59:20
Major investment needed up front. Would sell Dicko to make room for Calum Wilson and/ or Ashley Fletcher.

CM enforcer needed to add some steel. Players like Price, Evans, Edwards and Saville let the game go straight past them. We need a box to box midfielder who wins tackles and chips in with the occasional goal.

Wolves also need to replace Batth. I'm not convinced he can be solid enough for a promotion challenge. We'd need a CB with experience to play alongside Hause.

14 Apr 2017 18:29:41
Wolves playing with one out of form striker, not scoring enough goals. False optimism returns.

14 Apr 2017 23:33:17
Brighton completely outplayed us 2 day defence all over the place they looked a very good side I'm still not sure about pl seems to hav decent run with results then goes on a bad run we need to get rid of saville Edwards price Evans lonergan that's just for starters.

15 Apr 2017 09:29:16
We need to keep Costa at all costs because without him we r below average I'm not even sure about promotion next year they need a massive clear out of the team.

15 Apr 2017 11:55:42
I disagree - other than Lonergan letting two go straight through him we looked reasonably comfortable. Lacked bite going forward though.

15 Apr 2017 18:37:49
Evening fellas.

Agree that we need a clear out with all the deadwood. Four seasons of no real notable success, still the same sort of players. Don't think its a 'losing mentality' thing but it's become clear that Ba'ath, Sav, Evans, even Price don't have what it takes. Can't rely on them to be our big players.

That said, think Wolves know what they're doing with signings now, Weiman and Marshall have been superb additions. Would be a shame to see Costa go too especially if Graham has a Dicko esque fall from grace. Think Cav is the man though next season. Not to mention that a rejuvenated Ebanks-Landell is coming back, would love to see him get some game time, still young and has a lot to offer I think. Plus, Oniangue to come back and perform like he's supposed to (3 goals on 7 in Ligue 1). Think it was a brash decision loning him, showed some good signs at Wolves.

UTW.

15 Apr 2017 18:08:33
If we sign 1 or even 2 strikers in the summer it's likely we will sign Weimann which other striker will leave we will have bodvarsson dicko mason and the youngsters that r coming through.

16 Apr 2017 10:47:06
If you want Premiership buy Premiership quality: Hart, Gibbs, Wilshire, Wilson. Otherwise it's mid-table second division Championship again. Fosun are too corporate and have no drive or ambition to match even Leicester or Bournemouth.
