Are we as fans really going to shrug our shoulders if costa is sold?

how about keep him and sign more like him?

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Mar 2017 21:31:51
Everyone has their price he probably has a buyout clause anyway.

15 Mar 2017 21:39:09
Yet everybody still slags Mendes off. Personally, I think he deserves a pat on the back. Cavaliero is a top class player, too.

15 Mar 2017 21:48:31
We can do a lot with £25m or whatever his clause is. Costa goes, Mendes gets us someone else.

15 Mar 2017 22:21:45
Let's not forget that we still have Zyro and Graham on our books.

15 Mar 2017 23:30:01
Wednesfield that's exactly what should happen. We should keep Helda and purchase more like him if we are to progress. Also go for Silva. ⚽️👍😉.

16 Mar 2017 06:27:31
Keep Costa? Against all expectations we turned his loan into a purchase in January. Kudos to us. Playoffs looked possible at that stage and the thought of Costa playing for us in the PL. Then we went on a losing streak. Now we are probably on Plan B which realistically is to get the biggest profit on Costa we can. I'm sure Costa has a buyout clause and also an agreement that he can leave on friendly terms if we failed to get promoted this season.

16 Mar 2017 06:53:36
Why are you all saying he's being sold
Said who?

16 Mar 2017 07:46:10
Just being realistic about Costa. When he came to us on loan, he had a buy out clause. His new contract with us almost certainly has a buy out release clause, my guess around the £25mil mark. The newspapers recently reported that Chelsea and Spurs are interested. Go figure.

Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka will be sacked if his side fail to perform against Manchester United this weekend. That was in the DAily Star today.

16 Mar 2017 10:27:04
Hope so, I'd have him at Wolves.

16 Mar 2017 10:57:14
Fosun want to replace Lambert with Sheffield Wednesday's manager this summer. We can pay him more.

16 Mar 2017 11:39:16
Karanka has just been sacked.

16 Mar 2017 11:49:26
PT. Why would you want Karanka when your main complaint about Uncle Kenny and Lambert was that they are too negative. Boro fans had the same complaint about Karanka.

16 Mar 2017 12:23:50
Karanka is a Mendes client who brought us Costa and Cavaleiro our two most exciting players, them two together would work out brilliantly or would u rather Lambert and Thellwell combining together to continue pickin Edwards and Saville?

16 Mar 2017 12:43:55
Actually I think it is time to replace Thelwell. I'll reserve judgement on Lambert until the end of the season.

So Karanka's negative football will be ok?

Please don't get defensive. I'm just interested because you really disliked it when you perceived Jackett and Lambert as playing negatively, but you'll be happy to have Karanka who is ultra defensive.

16 Mar 2017 12:44:02
Karanka was quoted as saying ealier in the season, we just need to take games to 80 mins at 0-0 and then try and sneak one, is that really what we want?

16 Mar 2017 13:01:31
Big clear out at Wolves I want if we don't go down with coach/ manager bringing is own backroom staff in, with money we have it would be nice to persuade someone who is proven and get us to the next level, but my main concern is to hopefully stay in this division, don't want to even think about we getting relegated it would be unthinkable for our club if we did.
Would like to give credit were it's due and congratulate the team on a positive performance against a good Brentford side who are good on there own patch, just wish we can play like that at home, if we did we would of been in play offs.
10 games to go Lambert you still got time to prove yourself as a good coach especially if you play like the Brentford game.

16 Mar 2017 13:11:11
The football at molineux under Lambert is mind numbin so anybody will be an improvement! At boro his win percentage is over 46%, what's lamberts here? 😂😂😂.

16 Mar 2017 13:29:25
Karanka has gone from Middflesbrough today @derbywolf.

16 Mar 2017 13:52:07
With Karanka a client of Mendes, can only see it going one way. Carlos Carvalhal is the other summer option.

16 Mar 2017 13:52:25
Lambert's win percentage at Wolves is 38%.

Interestingly, having listened to Boro fans they too were mind-numbingly bored by Karanka’s tactics. Of course I can’t deny facts and Karanka does have a high win ratio.

So to be clear, you are happy with negative football as long as it’s winning football. There’s nothing wrong with that at all. I’d love it if we won every game for the rest of the season one-nil.

Funny thing is, Unlce Kenny had a win ratio of 46% at Wolves.

16 Mar 2017 14:10:57
I want promotion and we've more chance with Karanka than Lambert. Look at blues their supposedly playin better footy but results r crap! Would be lovely to have great football and win, but out the two when your in the championship you want to win and gain promotion to the Prem, good football or not.

16 Mar 2017 14:14:14
How many times have wolves beat a middlesboro side managed by Karanka? Still no better than a championship manager. If we got rid of PL I'd want better
KJ win % is massaged by a season in L1.

16 Mar 2017 14:25:00
Tell u what Clive let's get Ted Vizard back he had a 48.9% win ratio! 👍.

16 Mar 2017 15:33:15
Or Big Sam. His win percentage for England was 100%.

16 Mar 2017 15:50:18
I hate to tell you this PT, but Ted died.

I must be psychic. I knew someone would put the League One argument in there.

Uncle Kenny took a club that was on it's knees and managed to not only get promoted straight away, but with record points total as well.

And PT, I agree with you that we need to be promoted. So here’s the deal. You can complain about Paul Lambert losing games as that is how you judge managers, but not his style of football, however mind numbing you find it, because as you have said the result is all that matters.

16 Mar 2017 16:01:19
Mendes client Marc Wilmots has 59.1% win ratio. But he did have Hazard, DeBruyne and Lukaku in his team.

16 Mar 2017 16:08:54
It was said tongue in cheek Clive, as far as judgin managers goes isn't football a results game and that's the way chairmen boards and fans judge them?

17 Mar 2017 15:54:42
Wilmots win ratio is higher with Belgium than I thought, overall 64% but in competitive games 73.33%.

17 Mar 2017 17:02:25
He still wouldn't be good enough for some on here, their quite happy with Loser Lambert.

18 Mar 2017 16:56:16
Absolutely agree Paul. Very happy with Super Lambert. Now he has a decent squad to choose from. Great signings in January, the only manager to get the best out of Weimann. Dangerous in double figures for the first time.
