Any news on Lambert getting sacked?

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Mar 2017 03:02:10
Yes he isn't.

09 Mar 2017 06:09:12
Jas now I see the sence.

09 Mar 2017 08:21:58
He will be.

09 Mar 2017 09:13:46
Lambert will be given the summer and reassessed one results from there.

I can't understand why all other players are coming out in the media and trying to explain the situation we in but have heard nothing off the skipper?

This says a lot about the dressing rom in my eyes.

New captain required soon as season has ended. We need leaders!

09 Mar 2017 09:43:03
New manager, and a new spine minimum in the summer if we're to challenge for promotion! People called Zenga and Saunders useless but their record is better than this idiots! Time for change Fosun!

09 Mar 2017 09:48:49
If Baath did come out and same something they'd only be other fans moaning about that as well.

09 Mar 2017 09:21:57
maybe.

09 Mar 2017 12:20:31
The players don't have to apologise and keep makeing excuses, we fans are not thick and we now when things are not right and they have not been for a long time, but enough is enough now, wants a big clear out at the end of season, let's all hope we do not get relegated that would be unthinkable my team for Saturday would be 4-4-2 Ikeme, Coady, Hause, Williamson, Doherty, Costa, saiss, Price, Cavilaro, Dicho, Bodvarson.

09 Mar 2017 12:38:25
no player should have much to say TBH. talking on the pitch counts and currently most are dumb!
PT - Who do you want realistically as a Head Coach? this is not football manager where you reset every 5-6 months. Since Feb 2012 MM left, Connor 13 games, Solbakken 30 games, Saunders 20, Jackett 150, Zenga 17, Lambert currently around 20 not including Edwards two stints. Don't you think this has left us counting the cost of having two many poor quality players with constant clean slates with a new bloke coming in. How do you think any Head Coach can get a system with players he inherits. I hope that we follow sandwell towns recent way of thinking and stick with a bloke rather than get rid if the going is tough and building something solid.

09 Mar 2017 12:55:47
Ajwolf, Lambert states the squads to big? But he still can't find 11 winners and put round pegs in round holes! The baggies have had a few managers till they've found the right one, and now they have! Lambert couldn't lace Pullis's boots, he's absolutely clueless and makes Saunders look like Sir Alex! Sean Dyche, Warburton, Rowett are three I'd approach, but what they must be allowed to do is bring in Their own back room staff and clear the stale ones out we've got here, Mountain, Daley, Edwards etc!

09 Mar 2017 14:05:05
I agree that the backroom staff should go some have been here way too long and are complacent
What I can't believe is that a company of Fosuns financial power have settled for second best.

09 Mar 2017 13:43:47
I had a good idea last night, actually. What about replacing Kevin Thelwell with Kenny Jackett as head scout? Kenny is really respected within the game and just loves scouting those 'ones for the future'. It would benefit Paul Lambert, too, having somebody of the calibre of Jackett to fall back on.

I also think he would be good at scouting players from the UK, if Fosun are still going the 'tried and tested championship player' route. I fear many on here would just see that as the same as having Thelwell, but I don't think it would be a bad idea at all.

09 Mar 2017 13:55:45
In terms of head coach, you can't look any further than Rowett if Lambert only musters a draw up this weekend and consequently gets the boot.

09 Mar 2017 14:19:34
If u want Wolves to make progress, Jackett and Lambert shouldn't come into the equation.

09 Mar 2017 14:24:09
We've been crap since we introduced the head coach role. Go back to a manager who controls the club.
PT - we do have too many players and issue is we do not have ONE single player who could play in the prem every week. Unless we have some consistency nothing will change, why should it. Players are the only constan. rubbish on the pitch and laughing at us as its player power and the head coaches fault. Dyche LMFAO you really think he'd come to little wolves. Warburton looks like he falls out with his shadow and Rowett no better than Lambert with the players we have.

09 Mar 2017 14:52:49
He went to poxy Burnley and ended up with half our team! As I've said before, the ball is firmly in Fosuns court as to what level of success we achieve? Only they can change us from a little club mentality to MIGHTY WOLVES!

09 Mar 2017 14:57:26
ajwolf any manager would come to our great club if they were given the tools to do the job properly . Fosun are a multi billionaire company that can compete at any level they choose too its just up to them where they wish to take us. If this is to the top of English football then they need to spend somewhere in the region of 750m to 1 billion and to the top of European football well the sky's the limit.

09 Mar 2017 16:48:10
Upto 1 billion. really? You think anyone inc Fosun are going to spend that? does having guarantee success. no it only gives you choices and currently we make diabolical choices. The back room staff advising these choices have no prem or decent Champ experience so how do they know how to get to the prem. Ultimately are they going to advise Fosun to sack them? Fosun need balls and big chicken balls to deliver what they want. will it be prawn toast or a chinese banquet I know where my money would be.

09 Mar 2017 17:09:00
The fact of the matter is, if you want success in football the spending never stops!

09 Mar 2017 17:27:09
Aj I didn't say they would spend that kind of money I only said that they could spend that kind of money if they choose. Where have you been hiding for the last 15 years because at least two premier league clubs have clearly spent well over 750 million. I was just pointing out that they could have any manager they want if there willing to give them the tools to do the job properly. However I'm with you in thinking they won't spend anywhere near that kind of money but please don't sell us out thinking we couldn't attract a manager of Sean dyche calibre fosun could have however they want. Always remember like players there only do it for one thing MONEY.

09 Mar 2017 20:35:38
This isn't zenga or lambert fault but the players NOT being good enough. Until we get some prem quality all through the spine of the team we ain't going anywhere. Edwards been at the club 10 years and now our nailed on selection just shows how far we've gone backwards.
Dyche is out our league😜 After what he's achieved at, Burnley other prem teams would snap him up sharp.

09 Mar 2017 21:16:40
Little chance of us getting Dyche we need to find the Dyche of tomorrow we always go for managers with Championship experience like Lambert Jackett McCarthy Jones when we don't they last just a few matches like Deano Connor Zenga Solbakken

Lambert will be happy to keep us up now just a month ago he was talking of playoffs we should be able to do this but with Wigan and Blackburn winning it gets more complicated.

10 Mar 2017 22:14:29
I said it last week, and i say it now. Lambert back to Norwich, Rowett to us. Lambert loves Norwich, and it suits both parties in terms of their families and location. Even if Wolves win tomorrow, don't be surprised at this if Norwich take time in appointing someone.

11 Mar 2017 06:54:46
It's been said that Alan Pardew is going to come in.?

11 Mar 2017 09:14:28
Last bloke we need.
His ego enters the room before him.

11 Mar 2017 11:24:21
No I meant Pardew to go to Norwich so Lambert will be staying.

11 Mar 2017 11:53:18
Even if Lambert wins today, he could go. It's all politics. Norwich want Lambert, but he needs to be sacked to do so. It will only take one more defeat in the week anyway. As for our new manager, I can't look past Rowett because of the fact his kids are already settled and he likes it here. He also fits the 'young upcoming' model Fosun like so much. I even want the manager to lose today, just to quicken up the process. Pretty sad, eh?

11 Mar 2017 17:40:57
Just to be clear, Rowett failed to get promotion from division two in his two full seasons at Burton. He got into the playoffs each season but his team scored 71 goals then 47. We scored 51 the season we dropped out the championship. In two seasons at Blues he finished 10th each season scoring 63 goals. At the same time we were scoring 98 goals with the magic trio then in the season with the goal machines ALF and Siggy with KJ giving up on attack we scored 80 goals. I don't know what you are expecting of Rowett but although he has done alright with limited resources there is no way we could take a chance on him getting promotion. Start your search thinking about people who have got a team promoted then think about someone who has managed more than a season in the prem without ever getting relegated. See how many you can think of.

11 Mar 2017 20:40:33
Rowett is the best out there and Fosun would have chosen him a head of Lambert at the time. Now he is actually available, I can't see Fosun being interested in anyone else tbh.

11 Mar 2017 22:40:30
Not commenting on anything else on this thread, this is a response to victory v's comment about Rowett.

Rowett brought to Burton and Birmingham organisation and consistency something we haven't had in a long long time. Solid defence is the base of all successful teams, another tick in the Rowett box. I don't agree with hiring and firing all the time but I said before Zenga that we should have appointed Gary Monk and give him a 3-5 year plan as it was too good of an opportunity to pass up. I am saying the same thing again here with Rowett, get him in let him strip the team and re build, give him time money and patience for the 1st 2-3 years and go from there.

12 Mar 2017 10:02:42
Sorry Stuu I just disagree I think Rowett would be just another KJ type appointment. Organised and structured with limited resources. Within a season our fans would be chewing him up for his attrition football.

12 Mar 2017 12:55:41
Wolves are already after another foreign coach, according to The Sun. A Jaap Stam type is their preference. I still personally took they'd be mad to miss out on Gary Rowett.

12 Mar 2017 15:55:41
I think Roy hodgson is about the best manager out there by along way excellent club manager not sure about Rowett.

12 Mar 2017 15:55:46
On the subject of manager it is very clear that Lambert is the not the man to lead us to the next level - and when I say next level I mean a higher one! Regardless of the players he has at his disposal - and he decided in January that we didn't need a centre back or creative midfielder or striker - his approach is narrow minded, small time. We need a manager with vision who wants to play football which involves passing and moving not hoofing and hoping. A manager who wants to set up his side to win with style and a swagger not grind out a result. If that means a foreign manager then so be it. Personally I'd like to see someone like Dennis Bergkamp, the assistant manager at Ajax. Knows the English game, speaks English and believes in playing real football. With the necessary backing of Fosun it could be a match made in heaven.

12 Mar 2017 17:03:40
Interesting that there is talk of getting a new manager and then giving him 3 to 5 years to implement his restructuring plan.

How long has Lambert been here? Surely he needs time to work with this squad he inherited.
