Just a bit disappointed tbf that Newcastle are spending money on tried and tested quality players, and we have bought in 4 relatively unknowns. Don't think it's what we need at the minute, as for the big spending we have only spent 1m up to now and I have got a sneaky suspicion that we won't see anymore signings this week. I really hope these guys prove me wrong but there is so many targets that we could be looking at that are more accustomed to the championship.

A new quality centre half and a midfield powerhouse is an absolute must. We just missed out on Pritchard, but that is exactly the sort of player we need.

Agree with Markster and Rugeley we have so far invested half the money we received from K Mac and recruited the Jorge Mendez unemployed, whilst Reading sign Alex Pritchard for 8m.
However there is still time to prove us wrong chaps maybe it's just the beginning.

Henry might be crap Wavidsmith but he was amongst the best crap of last season. The icelander is more likely to play up front rather than down the wing in view of his height (6ft 3) I would think.

I agree with you on Batth, Savile and Edwards and would certainly add Coady. My point was that there are more likely candidates for the chop than Henry who at least actually tries to do something positive.
