22 Jul 2016 23:32:39
Heard a rumour that mick mcarthy might be coming back.

23 Jul 2016 00:06:06
Nonsense.

23 Jul 2016 00:41:51
Listen to me lads its glenn hoddle and gazza as assistant.

23 Jul 2016 01:09:47
OMG please do not let this happen.

23 Jul 2016 01:20:54
As things stand Fosun, who have links to 'super agent' Jorge Mendes (with him set to be key to Wolves' recruitment), are going to retain Kenny Jackett as Head Coach.

23 Jul 2016 01:51:23
according to vital wolves site.

23 Jul 2016 03:58:06
May as well of left morgan as owner. if that's how high they are aiming. steve bruce. laughable. thought these new owners had ambition.3 years they will sell.

23 Jul 2016 05:55:48
If Bruce comes wolves we going be going for unspectacular targets like Chris woods ( again) for starters I agree with others on here need few players that got idea what championship is about but we got be aiming higher standard than have been and just don't see us doing that with Bruce - yes he spent £ at hull but didn't exactly buy anyone who u could say made big impact or put bums on seats at hull also the guy had no charisma he like brown paper bag - boring- same as Martinez - we need set sights higher not saying a klopp or conte but someone that going excite not just team but fans aswell someone who's first thought is not let's play for a draw at best but let's win games and win games with bit of style
Not sure who this type manager is but please pls let's not settle for typical type manager we bound get linked too - Bruce Martinez ince cutbishley etc etc.

23 Jul 2016 08:15:54
Moyes going 2 sunderland.

23 Jul 2016 08:18:05
FFS You guys are hard to please.

With people like you as fans who needs rivals.

23 Jul 2016 08:41:12
I've heard that Mancini is going to be announced as manager by the end of next week. All being well, this will actually happen and no one will know that I just made it up!

23 Jul 2016 08:41:34
Don't mention Giggs for Wolves, he's odds on the next Wigan manager. Moyse is also in a Sunderland, basically leaving us old 'two cakes' Bruce.

I still think the new owners will go overseas, however, due to our link with Mendes. Martinez is the only available manager which would work in this instance.

23 Jul 2016 08:52:33
Do you not feel the manager we need to get us to the premier league may not be the manager we keep in the Premier league.

23 Jul 2016 08:55:21
I'm loving the people saying we need to aim higher then Bruce and Martinez etc. in the long run yeah but you seem to forget we are currently a championship team with a thread bare squad so I think your champions league aims for this season may well be too ambitious. Our first goal is to get out this league if we appoint someone to do that we aren't stuck with them forever you know. Look at Watford they went up and still sacked their manager. Think we need to walk before we can run.

23 Jul 2016 09:04:01
Before Everton, Martinez's record with Swansea and Wigan were second to none. In the championship I can see him doing an excellent job and, like I said, the fact he's European will help a lot with the new owners.

{Ed001's Note - Steve Bruce had Wigan consistently midtable, then Martinez came in and they were in a relegation battle every year. Not sure why he is so highly rated, he is not a good manager.}

23 Jul 2016 09:11:02
Well said Sbrek.

And Bruce has done it so many times.

23 Jul 2016 09:12:24
whatever. Steve Bruce instead, then.

{Ed001's Note - I was just pointing out, everyone is so anti-Bruce, yet he is clearly a much better manager than Bobby Martinez. Neither are going to take the club to the top level though.}

23 Jul 2016 09:20:39
Will you stop calling him 'Bobby Martinez'? You make him sound like a Butlins DJ.

{Ed001's Note - he would probably be a better Butlins DJ, as his only real quality in management is being a nice guy.}

23 Jul 2016 09:25:39
(or somebody from Dallas)

23 Jul 2016 09:31:57
I thought editors were supposed not to have any views? . you would normally get sacked for some of your comments on here!

{Ed001's Note - you think? I wouldn't have known that if you hadn't said..... ;-)

23 Jul 2016 09:33:26
Lol thanks for adding the facts Ed001.

Hopefully that will help the deluded side of the wolves fans see more clearly.

23 Jul 2016 09:34:03
The earlier posters on here are right, by the way, Wolves are talking to both Martinez and Bruce this weekend.

23 Jul 2016 09:34:24
Give Steve Bruce a go. He is a promotion specialist. Horses for courses. He also has brownie points with Man U for loan players. Mendes resresents Mourinho, again brownie points with MU and also internationally.

We could hire a fancy Spanish coach but what would he know of the championship? Speedy Gonzales might come unstuck. Different in the PL. if Bruce takes us there, pay him off handsomely and then become more ambitious. Let's walk before we learn to run.

The new owners have talked well of our history, academy and community. They have a stake in Thomas Cook. What about Thomas Cook branding on our shirts? Don't just book it, Thomas Cook it.

23 Jul 2016 09:42:21
Our history is to appoint ex England managers a la Graham Taylor, Glenn Hoddle how about Roy Hodgson?

23 Jul 2016 10:01:39
Anyone read the report on sky talking to lopetegui and him not only admitting that it was Wolves he was coming to but also Robin Li is the main man behind the takeover with Fosun. Very interesting.

23 Jul 2016 10:06:36
Well the new spain coach says robin li is the main man behind the new owners of the wolves. interesting indeed.

23 Jul 2016 10:10:54
Demon I thought you said that Li bid £41 mil and Morgan chose the wrong owner in Fosun?

23 Jul 2016 10:24:23
So robin li is involved.

23 Jul 2016 10:30:02
I presume that Robin Li, Ding Lei and GG all know eachother (being of similar age/ wealth and establishments) and talked amongst themselves about taking Wolves over. So basically it doesn't matter one jot which one 'officially' owned us, as it's all just the same. This is my own conclusion, anyway.

Morgan didn't choose an owner, the Chinese sorted it out amongst themselves.

23 Jul 2016 10:35:49
But why would Li, a multi billionaire, effectively hide behind another consortium? Don't get it.

23 Jul 2016 10:59:24
I'm probably being thick here but can we make signings now or do we have to wait until the press conference has happened?

23 Jul 2016 11:46:00
Laudrup anyone?

23 Jul 2016 11:55:30
Just seen carlton Palmer leaving the molineux with a grin on his face like he just landed a job! He have us 2 divisions below the conference in no time!

23 Jul 2016 12:08:21
I just read that Baidu (Robin Li) and Fosum (G. G) have both been looking together for new business ventures within India and the U. K. They have been working very closely together as Fosum are try and get more into the Internet/ smart phones/ communications sector. Baidu are already a search engine group, like Google.

I have absolutely no evidence for this, but maybe the two are going to merge in the near future? Or, alternatively, Fosun will pass Wolves onto Baidu and Mr Li after the two year agreement? Like I said, it's guess work.

23 Jul 2016 12:11:57
Who said he's hiding. they are only a investment company. read sky sports interview and make ir own minds up.

23 Jul 2016 12:20:56
Oh darbo if robin li is the main man. Behind fosun then I am glad I called that wrong. but bloody bruce. so so funny. club has to have high ambitions. and he aint.

23 Jul 2016 12:42:01
Don't be surprised if Robin Li turned down the chance of owning WBA in favour for us. Wolves are seen as having a far bigger long term potential.

23 Jul 2016 17:26:28
What's going on looks like jackett is staying his got to go.

23 Jul 2016 19:30:59
Wavidsmith - your line 'Morgan didn't sell the club, the Chinese sorted it out amongst themselves' is highly perceptive. Whereas in the West big corporations are reluctant to partner, the China growth model is much more collaborative, happier to partner. We can't get our heads around the partnership because it's not the norm, but that's how these boys operate.

We are hugely privileged to have both companies backing this.
