Danger of recruiting too many youngsters is that it creates a log jam and players get frustrated at lack of opportunities. Already happened with Keita who is refusing to sign new deal in order to progress his career elsewhere.
Heard Dietmar Hamman explain how Ajax and top German sides have no more than 12/13 youngsters in each age range. Philosophy is quality not quantity. They then operate a one in one out policy based on those low numbers. Thinking behind the philosophy is that you have a small number of high quality players and you can work with them as a group. Where we have 30 plus in each age range lower down the Academy the range of ability is far too great and coaching operates at lowest common denominator level. Lost count of number of young centre forwards on our books!

Little rumour is we have equired about avalibilty of danny drinkwater rumour is we could get him on loan till end of season with a possible view to a permeant deal if we pay about 2-5-3m in summer for him I think we could get one player in without somebody going out on loan but I think to get the 2 in kj needs we will need probably about 2 go out on loan let's just hope we get 2 people with out any going out on loan so then we have the players to cover for injuries or suspensions

I totally support our academy model. It's an asset for the club even if many of the players end up being sold on. But hopefully with some quality scouting and coaching these players will be the next generation of stars. Think ManU and Beckham/Scholes/Giggs/Neville/Neville.

Look at the current team and how many ex-academy players are in the squad with more still out on loan.

I see our under 21s are not doing very well with all this money being spent on these young players .
We are bottom of league with 1 win in 16 matches what's happening there that's not very good progress in my eyes its awful

None of our players out on loan are "pulling up trees". In fact, at the weekend, Saville, McAlinden and Cassidy were all on the bench and only Saville got on, in the 88th minute!Ismail was in and out of the team at Notts County prior to his injury. Can't see any of those four being retained and think we will try to offload at end of season or release if their contracts are up.

Scottish wolf Cassidy and mcalinden both have 2 years and 3 years I think Ismail has a year left and kenny rates all of them so they will stay and go out on loan along with saville, eusibeo, Jacobs, and the young kid McLeod, but I think we will finish 8th this season I don't think we will sell our best players in the summer the likes of dicko, afobe, batth stearman, golbourne, iorfa McDonald etc I think we will keep them the only players that will leave are the players above I mentioned on loan and sako, Doyle, ricketts and Clarke on frees then that we will free up wages and spaces for us to bring 3-4 players in probably a CM, CAM, ST and another postion if we need too if we can a couple of players from teams that have just gone up who did well in this league this season I honestly think we could get automatic next season

To think we will go up next season and bring 4 players in fair play to that
But in all honesty if Morgan didn't bring them in this year which I think is still anybody's championship I can't see it next year and like I keep saying if Afobe keeps playing like he is some premier league will be after him and that's a fact

See were busy in the loan market?? What a joke!! Ambition!! The club don't know the meanin of the word let alone how to spell it!!

11 Mar 2015 15:38:51
And to think Paul with a little bit of investment we could be top of championship
It is a bit of a joke, we might never get a chance like this again.

To think we are going to get up next year is stupid thinking when we can do it this year so Morgan splash the cash

Trouble is bigwolf to many Wolves fans think were a big enough club to choose which season we go up!! Fans turn round and say were not ready!! No team that goes up is ready!! It's about getting the cash the Prem offers! And as I've said before, if we turn out to be a yo yo club so be it, we must take advantage of this mediocre division as we can't guarantee what the league will be like next season.

Like I said earlier if we are going to be a club bringing our under21s through to the 1st team instead of spending any cash which the club seam to be doing we will be waiting a good while because the 21s are bottom of league with only 1 win, now that to me is not very good.
I agree we cannot keep throwing money at it but surely we could afford a couple of loan players to try and push for playoffs, its not much to ask for a club of our status.
