I'd much rather keep Jackett than get Steve Bruce, I just can't see what Brucie will bring to the party that's that much different. The only way I'd be happy was if we got a perceived bigger name ie rijkaard or somebody who's managed at the top level champs league would be a real statement of intent. And I definitely don't want Martinez, my Everton mate hasn't got a good work to say about the bloke.

To be fair Bruce brings 4 championship promotions, a cup final and a proven track record of signing good players. But hey, everyone is entitled to an opinion!

I'd rather a bigger name but to say you'd rather JACKETT than Bruce? What planet u on? Bruce has been there and done it, JACKETT has never made top 6. If u went home and away last season u wouldn't contemplate JACKETT stayin! The only record he achieved was 7, 0-0 home games! Awesome.

I don't feel Bruce would have achieved anything better with what we had than Jackett did last season. It's only my opinion but it's how I feel. Don't get me wrong if Bruce gets the job ill fully support him but he's not for me.

I'm with Tammywolf on this if we are talking mega money, super agents and moving the club on to the next level we have to be looking way beyond the likes of Bruce. Surely with the connections now available to us we can scour the cream of the young international managers out there and come up with somebody who can grow with the club.
