Have to say I really like the new shirt but wish I could buy it without the sponsor. Much more retro looking which is what I hoped for.

I'll probably still buy one of the old 80's retro ones instead though if I'm honest.

If we were struggling to attract a decent sponsor I'd have preferred us have a charity like Cancer Research as the sponsor.

I know that doesn't make money but it's the opposite end of the scale in terms of marketing, brand image and the general all round feeling about the club. If anything it would have raised the profile at the same time.

Will be interesting to see if there is a drop in sales this year, in terms of shirts sold (rather than £) . My guess it 10-15% down.

Once you pay for an over priced piece of cheap Chinese made material it becomes your property. I see no reason why some clever teddy out there can't design a patch which could be easily sewn on for a few quid. I quite like the new shirt (surprisingly) but I will never adverise MS, so putting a patch on which could have anything on would cover the crap MS logo and allow me to wear the Wolves colours which is all I am bothered about.

So.

Come on you entrepreneurs amongst us out there.
What a smack in the face for MS that would be. Hide the offending advert, whilst still wearing the colours.

Re Just Smith, your comment

"If anything it would have raised the profile at the same time".

That's a brilliant point, if WWFC had had a sponsorless heritage shirt with the 3 wolves on for next season (viable because it's 50yrs since World Cup win so it is a heritage yr) , it would have got other clubs fans chattering and got decent press attention, it would have been an advert for the clubs heritage and former might to potential buyers (and foreign ones might not know) . I think it could have significantly helped prompt interest and sell the club to the kind of buyer we'd want.

And really considering we're (supposedly still) for sale, advertising the clubs greatest asset (heritage and identity) to get a new good owner asap, should surely be the priority over a cheap sponsorship deal.

I love right things, the more you look at them the more right things falls out of them.

Mr. Morgan, you love football, you know it makes sense, bin Moneyshop and give us shirts we want to support, we'd love you for it and then you could stay as a hero, or if you wanted still sell but quicker and better and with a good legacy intact :-)

edit - looked back - realised you meant raise profile of charity rather than profile of Wolves. Sorry, yes you're right, I'd prefer a charity over Moneyshop. But maybe a modern shirt but with proper retro styling, 3 wolves and no sponsor at all would work especially well right now.

I did Ulf but what you have said also makes a lot of sense. In addition if Morgan did drop moneyshop it would earn him a fair bit of respect that he has lost but I just can't see it happening if I'm honest.
