I see Wolves have finalised a friendly with Gloucester City. Personally I fail to see the point in these kind of games in the modern era. At one time they were a way to get players match fit, but in this era of fitness training, players are normally fit enough anyway. So the only real need for friendlies are to rebuild teamwork, and I don't know if such easy opponents provide enough of a challenge to affect that.
Am I being harsh on Gloucester, or are they too weak an opponent to be worthwhile?

It's listed as a Wolves XI, so I don't think it is a first-team fixture. Unless anyone knows different.
