Bit fortunate today watched it on the box
Nuno obviously wanted a win today with the team he put out, Costa terrible today.

Agree0 Disagree0

You need luck in the cup this could be are year NUNO played a strong side draw on Monday night.

I've said for months now that Costa and Traore should be sold off.
Maybe Cavaliero too.

If it means bringing in Zaha and Lozano, then yes.
Zaha would be a revelation at the Mol with the service he'd get.

Zaha has 3 goals in 20 games. Hardly prolific.

Wasn't Costa denied by a brilliant save from his header. Didn't Traore assist the equaliser.

C'mon Jas. I'm talking about consistency. How can one keep making excuses for these guys? Our team cannot move forward if you are carrying players.
Play young Ennis rather than watch Costa go through the motions.
One player has a bad game and everyone has a pop. But Costa and Traore are consistently bad. There's no room for sentiment if you want to become the best.
They've had their time, thank em, goodbye. We move on. WAW.

I disagree. Traore is in and out of the team and hasn't had the chance to play as an orthodox winger. Nuno is in the process of adapting his game to suit the formation we play and this will take time. Costa, I agree needs to do better but we know he can perform at this level and so we must trust in Nuno to get him back to the levels he was before. He did well before Nuno came in because he played as an out and out winger. Traore would do well in a free role just behind Jimenez but that ain't the system we play. We're more or less safe from relegation so let these players get game time and valuable experience.

Hands off Cav, he needs more game time, our squad is currently far too small so why the **** would we want to sell him.
Just look at the skill he showed creating the 1st goal yesterday!

It is a fact that players will have dips (and peaks) on form.
It is also a fact that we have one of the best coaches in top level football.
He has not shirked at dropping Neves or others when needed.
What is important is the way the player reacts, that we get a reaction, that we see an improvement when they are given the chance again.
I look at the change in Neves, in Dendonker, in Cav, in Jota, in Bennett, when they were rested/ dropped or something else was tried out for a game.
Unfortunately I do not see the same reaction or difference in Costa and I believe he has been given opportunities that others yet haven't been given.
That isn't to say that he is rubbish, that he hasn't done well in the past, it is simply a recognition of his current position and our current requirements.
Look at Leo, it's a very similar situation. People can try to 'out' him or defend him in equal measure, but with a smallish squad we have to have players that perform, react, and deliver.
