Excellent post below by PT. All he’s stating is the truth. Nothing wrong with that. He just wants the best for all the supporters and has high expectations. I agree with him100 per cent this. With a few more quality players we can compete around the top 6/ 8. We have to put the many chances we are creating away so we need better quality at the sharp end as well. âš½ï¸ðŸ˜‰ðŸ‘.

Don’t we all want the best? Jesus after what we’ve been through since we last won anything major in 1980 I don’t think there’s any other set of fans in the country more deserving than us. However since the creation of the premier league 20 odd years ago we are just embarking on our 5th season in it which for a club with our history fan base etc is pathetic. Without mega rich owners at Chelsea and citeh we are 100s of millions of pounds behind the elite 6 and clubs like Everton so to get to that level is going to take both time and patience we have owners with bugbear ambitions and pockets to match and if they had come along in the good old days we could have brought a team fit for purpose straight away. There were 2 problems facing us this summer namely because of ffp we couldn’t go out and buy a team and secondly the top players won’t entertain joining a newly promoted team you can sell them the project all you want but all they see is a promoted team who will fight a relegation battle so season one was all about setting the foundations and staying there next season we will be a much better draw for the better players. I can remember the first slide through the divisions in the 80s and going to Carlisle on Easter Monday and everyone taking pictures of the ball in the net because we had gone something like 12 consecutive games without scoring so I will happily watch this wolves team having watched the dross at Chorley Darlington etc.

Wolvescoast fair play, if u notice everyone who knocks my post looks at the past? I'm always on about the future, Monday is the 12th? My granddads birthday, he'd be 125? We can all go on about the past! Get with with it and move forward, new owners new management.

Paul you've lost me now fella if honest, what does that even mean?! How exactly as a newly promoted can our past not be relevant to where we are now?! So what are we supposed to be competing with the top six despite them having a couple of decades head start then?
Ironically I suspect if they were allowed to Fosun would actually be more into your approach of chucking larger sums of cash at the problem. Thing is these days (and in the future before you say it) we have a little old thing known as Financial Fair Play! So how do we sign £100m+ worth of players in Jan (so 5/6 quality additions) without falling foul of FFP exactly? If you know please tell Jeff as I imagine it could speed things right up! ;)

Bullysboy it's easy I'm on about the last 11 games in the prem, forget the moxey Morgan McCarthy etc eras, it's now 2018/ 19 season the rest doesn't matter. It's not hard keep up.

Paul, ok fella although if I'm honest I didn't really mention the Morgan, Moxey era I simply pointed out where we were when Fodun stepped in (less than three seasons ago) . But ok let's look at the last 11 games, have they been THAT bad then?! Cause the general consensus from virtually EVERY pundit and neutral fan has been that we have been excellent! In fact Phil Neville did a whole piece a few weeks back on how we are playing at a different level to ANY promoted team he'd EVER seen before! Bizarrely it only seems to be a small number of our own fans that don't think we are doing well. Point against City, point at Old Trafford, not many outside the top six will get much from those two this season! Then one bad decision away from a point against Spurs with lots of tidy result in between it all! In fact its pretty much ONLY been the Watford game where we played poorly so just not seeing where the panic is here?
On a side note you say about not having options regarding formations but you need to read more of Nunos comments there fella. He has made it VERY clear time and again that his system is his system and that he would rarely (if ever) deviate from that because he seems pretty confident that with the right application this system can give anyone a game. And so far I've seen NOTHING to suggest that he's wrong on that front! COYW.

Bullysboy they could use some of their companies as their a conglomerate to get round ffp, but ground renaming NO. I'm afraid Nuno will need to have a plan B and C as the teams in this league will work us out, but whatever system he uses we def need better players to progress.
