Does anyone think the amount of transfers coming in is somewhat worrying? I know we have a solid team that could stay up. However, I was expecting a lot more than just Jiminez and Patricio. To be signing just one outfield player at this stage is concerning. We only have about 4 weeks until season starts! Do you think Wolves are struggling to attract top names?

No mate I think in the next 2 weeks 3 or 4 additions will be made down the spine of the team. Nuno isn't stupid he knows the quality of the squad isn't good enough yet.

I don't think it is an issue of attracting the right players, I think it is an issue of Wolves transfer style.

Wolves tend to want loans with exclusive buy options, which is fine with the lower value or younger players we were dealing with last season, But I would imagine that is why this Joao Mario deal has stalled, if Wolves were happy with a straight season long loan with no other guarantees like West Ham, he'd probably be in, Inter don't want to let players like him go so easy.

if no one else comes in for Joao Mario they will crack because they don't want him sat on the bench, but that is the risk.

Am also concerned about the lack of apparent activity.

I am particularly concerned that the fact that our transfer window closes 3 weeks before it does in other major European leagues may impact on our ability to push through deals at a late stage when a selling club in Europe won't be feeling the same pressure as most of their market place will be remaining open.

Good point about the timescales Mikey. I'm guessing that continuing the loan approach is all to do with FFP as we have already spent on Boly and Leo.
