At the mo we are doing a lot of missing out on this and that player. Need to keep Cav. He’s way better than many I’ve seen in Russia that’s for sure. As for 12m that’s insulting!

But if £20m for Cav came by, would we take it? Probably.
We have Jiminez and probably another striker coming in, plus Gibbs-White ready to step up. And Mir is around somewhere, if he's still in Nuno's plans.
I'd like to keep Cav, though.

The press are linking us to so many players. If they are all true then it shows that Nuno has no faith in the squad that got us promoted. We don't need a major overhaul, we need possibly 3 more players. 1x defender, 1x midfielder and 1x striker.

Euro in the current climate I'm not sure I would take £20m to be honest. Cause you say about the cover but most of those listed are strikers and Gibbs-White looked excellent last season but at his age and build I think a Champ loan for game time would probs be best. Point is here that for a player that only started half the time and played mostly on the wings 12 assists and 9 goals is a pretty tidy return! Not to mention the fact that we don't have that much quality in the depth of our back up on the wing. For me the ONLY reason to sell him would be to accommodate/ raise finance for a better replacement. Mind you having seen Cav's work rate and ability at times last year an improvement would cost a small fortune, over to you Uncle Jorge! ;)

PS- what's gone on with Mir, anyone know?! A guy that's in his 20's and was scoring for fun for Valencia B, who we nick from under the nose of Real no less. BUT he's just disappeared! Nuno had worked with him before so seems odd if he doesn't fancy him but I did expect to see him on the bench far more than just for the first 6 weeks that he was there!
