Anyone else think that it might be a mistake Dalrymple claiming that Wolves will make a statement spending wise this summer? Can only imagine that teams will raise the price for players we are interested in. example being Mitrovic. Signed for £13 mill and has hardly had a look in at Newcastle regardless if his temperament. Now they want £20 mill because he's banged a few in in the champ. I realise its only a rumour (Mitrovic transfer) but can't help thinking that Dalarymple's comments won't help. Thoughts anyone? UTW.

Reading that article, I don't think he categorically said we would, rather we could if the right players were open to a move.

Good point Turu. Clubs will be rubbing their hands now with pound signs in their eyes. You know it, you don't broadcast it! Bit of an own goal from Dalrymple. I can only hope that We have so much money available that they ain't bothered. Stil very silly though.

Turu, I get your point fella and for the most part agree that its better operating in the shadows. However the reality is every man and his dog already knows that Fosun are minted and they've also not been quiet about meaning business! So whilst I agree with the premise I think the reality is peeps would have driven up prices either way as its the nature of the beast. I mean we've just spent £50m getting out of the Champ, that ain't the signs of a club on a budget so I suppose what I'm saying is that what he said won't be news to anyone in the game!
Also let's not forget our ace here, Uncle Jorge won't let us pay over the odds unless the whole management team think the players truly worth it and well if they all think that then happy days as they haven't got one wrong yet when spending big! COYW ;)

That didn't work too well for Bournemouth when they tried to outnegotiate Wolves for Afobe loan. Not going to happen. Wolves are not desperate for any individual player and will make enquiries about many players and take the best or most reasonable deal.

Ps- For me I really hope we don't sign Mitrovic, he's always struggled for consistency in the Prem not to mention the guys a nut case and not sure we need that ;)

I think people are in dream land a little bit when it comes to signings this season. For me as long as we sign Boly, Afobe and N’diaye. Plus another centre back, right back and striker and I think we could finish in mid-table.

Paul think your second parts spot on, I mean we are hardly limited to a choice of just Leo or Mitrovic now are we?! That said I think the talk of a Rashford loan is pie in the sky! The guys got to be one of the most exciting young prospects in the country (if not the world) right now so not entirely sure why peeps have decided that United are in a rush to shift him?!
Wolves11- Have to agree because some of the names seen on here have been frankly hilarious! That said mind, had you read me this seasons team sheet two seasons ago well I'd have said that was dream land! going to be an exciting summer either way me thinks! COYW ;)

Rashford not a chance but Martial is available apparently and is a Nuno type of player wages a big problem I expect and he will want European football
We will sign players from outside the UK they are usually cheaper.
