Andre grey twice the player that afobe is and he is proven in the prem playing for a poor team. If afobe ever came back I'd boo him every time he touched the ball. I don't care about broken promises to him by m+m I just remember watching him for 5 months doing jack chit apart from moan like a big baby.

You should read the respective clubs forums then. Bournemouth seem to think Afobe has potential and hasn't settled, but can do a job. While Burnley reckon if you took Grays assists and goals out of last season, they'd have still stayed up, they think they need better for the Prem, they're apparently only keen to keep him on basis he's a top Championship rather than Prem player, so if they get relegated he'll get them re-promoted. Plus, Afobe is 2yrs younger, with more time to develop.

And Afobe was still scoring goals when he was sulking, in a by then poor team. Didn't he still end up top goalscorer for the season despite only being here till Christmas? We'd have been relegated without those goals from when he was sulking. He was on for 20+ for the season, again.

And it's not an end of the World issue for me, I didn't post anything when they gave up on Afobe for over £10m, only when they apparently offered £20m for Gray.

Afobe won't be coming back. Get over it please.

This is like arguing with someones father. They're determined to be right and have the last say. I never said he was coming back, just that he should if it was possible (& £20m for Gray as an alternative suggested it was), because he'd add integrity and value to our identity and brand in ways others wouldn't. That's reasonable.

Afobe has potential. Lmao. So did I. When I was 16 lmao.

Afobe scored twice in their pre-season friendly with Yeovil. And once and set up the other against Bristol. He's (obviously) still saying he wants to stay and fight for his place.

He's obviously got potential, GL to him, if any other Chump club sign him I'm going to be very unhappy. He's effectively English, quality Arsenal academy, already connected to us and part of a bad story we could put right, we know he would do it for us, he's young enough to become us and part of a legendary rebirth.

Ulf, I think Afobe would do a good job for us, but your posts are becoming very boring and repetitive. Move on.

There isn't anything to move onto, another striker is the final player we'll be signing apparently, it's the player we've needed most since we lost Afobe as he was never effectively replaced, Mason didn't cut it, and as the striker is the talisman of the team, who it is will significantly affect our team and identity now, and if the season is successful and earns promotion, the clubs heritage and identity as part of its legend. And I don't trust Thelwell to get it right, because like Moxey, I think he's completely blind to the nature of the clubs identity and brand potential, and to how important those things are.

Yeovil, exactly!

I can't see any of these strikers you talk about adding to our 'brand' in the way that Derek Dougan, John Richards, Andy Gray or John Richards did. I think we'll need to wait for the powers that be to unearth a new talent from abroad to achieve this. Who knows, they may already have done!
