Barry Douglas has just posted a picture a video in Instagram story say chilling with the " skip " (skipper) danny batth. I think that put ends to any rumours of who the captain will be for next season as let's be honest the players will already know and with Edwards taking the captains armband in second half Saturday I think that tells you Nuno is keeping him as vice captain.
I know this may be a surprise to some people but to me it's not as Nuno has constantly banged on about the experience of the older players also tells ya DB ay going nowhere and as I say the players will already know who the captain is for next season so I doubt BD is wrong here.

The only way Batth will have anychance of a start is if Nuno plays 3 centre haves. Nuno won't upset things while on tour but I expect a change in captaincy when the team comes home. Batth will be a bench warmer at best Nuno wants football playin footballers not hoofers.

At the moment Batth seems to be the no nonsense, get the ball out if there type of defender. Boly is the towering powerhouse who intimidates the opposition and Miranda the elegant Alan Hansen type ball playing defender. Maybe Nuno has seen something in all 3 and believes that they could work together.
