How does Joey Barton fit the Wolves way, he could start an argument in an empty room. Not a team player just trouble.
It looks to me that Ola John and Bothwick Jackson should go back. Not sure about Tex. Everone else is a permanent move so it looks like loans or transfers for some of the old squad if the numbers need to come down. You have to question how Thelwell allowed so many cheap players to come instead of buying quality. Surely Fosun don't need to penny pinch like M&M.
It also looks like Enobakari is on fire and should have a crack in the first team.

Trouble is our defence options are limited enough we also have Stearman on loan of course.

Lambert wants to reduce the squad. Here's my suggestions.
Ola John and CBJ can return whence they came.
Stearman too, probably, if we're not going to play him.
Texiera is a good player but will probably have to go if squad reduction is paramount.
Keep Costa, he looks like the real deal.
We can sell some players: Saville, Wallace, Mason (if he's not going to be played), Evans and probably Deslandes. Maybe cash in on Coady while he's ahving a good run.
I would keep Price because I like him.
The big question is whether Batth should stay. Let's assume not.
Of the new players, Gladon is the clear favourite to go. Perhaps on loan in the first instance. The rest are good players who, with the right management and team strategy, can shine.
This leaves us short of defenders, with just Doc, Silvio, Iofa and Hause as recognised first teamers. Williamson continues to be the invisible man. And Coady and Saiss can fill in. If Lambert is going to really make a difference then unless Williamson can play, he needs to get a CB, a John Terry or Vincent Kompany type, to anchor the team. But we know that.
We really don't need any more midfielders and I think our strikers are good enough too. We just haven't got our tactics right to give them enough shots. Goals come from midfield.

We need a captain, someone who can lead and manage on the pitch.

We have a young team. Apart from Edwards and Ikeme. If Williamson was fit he could do the job. Otherwise a new CB captain sounds like the obvious gap to fill.
Otherwise it's Edwards.
