Does anyone have anything concrete. the more the time drags on the more I'm starting to think they are writing stories to keep us happy but in reality just looking at getting people in on the cheap.

Agree I reckon these marque signings are rubbish it's mendes touting his quality players vile villa are signing some good players.

WWFC_4LIFE - do you really think Silvio and Bodvarson are cheap?
Just because we haven't had to pay a big transfer fee, signing on fees and wages will undoubtedly have been a fair amount (as was the sweetener for Silvio to pay up his Athletico contract I should imagine) .
The loan signings seem to be with options to purchase if things work out so I'd rather do business like this than Villa's spending extortionate amounts for Championship quality players who they will need to replace if they go up.

Been saying for weeks that talisca wasn't coming. never was. its just a way to sell more season tickets. but while this has been going on we've missed out on Pritchard, jedinak. chester. etc etc. all good players and just the type of players we need and haven't got. we need some fight and grit because we didn't win a tackle against Ipswich.

We are in a far better position than we were a few weeks ago. With the new signings already in plus a few more before end of Aug`, also Dicko/ Graham to come back I feel quite confidant about this season. I believe these guys are serious. If not this season (which would be tough given the original squad) then next season for sure.

Wolfflea. Yes I do think they were cheap. they might well turn out to be half decent. but the owners are talking about spending 30m plus over next 2 years. I'm yet to see us break the 3-4m barrier yet. whilst as you say Villa are buying proven quality championship players like Mccormack. If the owners came in and said we are going to spend 5 -10 m a season ide be a little less frustrated. We have 2 weeks until deadline day. Ide rather us get the deals done asap so our players can bond and get the points on the board early. that Talisca deal went on for longer than Pogba . they should of just come out and said we are trying to get him rather than the speculation rifle and get fans hopes up. times running out and we need 6-10 qaulity players to stand any chance of promotion. our squad is thread bare 1 or 2 injuries to key players and we will be scrambling around bottom half of table.
