Wolves have set there priorities now with Mick reportedly after two centre backs to complete his side and a back-up goalkeeper to Wayne Hennessey with the possibility of another gamble on a cheap foreign player to replicate Milijas's deal from Red Star Belgrade.

It is already known he wants premier league experience at the back so the idea of a move for Matt Mills is a false rumour. However, I can confirm Wolves are interested in four evergreen defenders that have already been mentioned alot in the past few days.

The No.1 target is Birmingham defender Roger Johnson but with his club refusing to sell him and putting a ridiculous value of £14m on him Wolves will firm there interest up by bidding/ enquiring for the player, just to confirm they want him, and if the player wants to leave the club expect a fee of around £7m to be paid by Wolves for his services.

Another target for Wolves is Tottenham defender Sebastian Bassong. The defender has been quoted as saying he wants out of Spurs, and Redknapp would probably let him leave for about £5m to Wolves in a cut-price deal which would be more suitable to Wolves by making a double-swoop for O'Hara and Bassong.

The third one is out-of-contract former West Ham defender Matthew Upson. Although he was part of a relegated West Ham side he has premier league experience of over 100 games and could add stability although he may join newly-promoted QPR because of the fact they are based in London meaning he doesn't need to move his family.

Finally, Richard Dunne. Although it seems unlikely McCarthy is a big fan of Dunne after giving him his first Ireland cap when he was manager of the national side and is said to have a good relationship with the player, has plenty of premier league experience and is reportedly fed up with Aston Villa's saga with managers. Could join for £5m.

Another one which Wolves are keeping tags on is Jonathan Woodgate, the injury-prone defender has undeniable class but injuries have always halted his career, if Wolves can get him back into shape and sign him on a free transfer, he could be a gem of signing. Wages could be a stumbling block too.

Keepers that have been linked with Wolves are preston goalkeeper Andy Lonergan, Peterborough goalkeeper Joe Lewis and out-of-contract Kieran Westwood - who is apparently snubbing Wolves for Sunderland. Reported interest also comes from Egypt where El-Merreikh's veteran goalkeeper Essam El Hadary could join as back-up to Hennessey.

Why Wolves want long he's had one good season SEB was lethal in championship and only scored 1 goal from open play and 1 spot kick. Saying that he might strike up a partnership with Doyle although long was on bench until Doyle left. Rather spend big on proven striker possibly Carew, DJ Campbell or loan for Owen

Wolves brought in Jelle Van Damme for £6, 5000,000 never really played and was sold on for the same amount. So by that I reckon there will be a kitty of around £12,000,000.

Im not sure we paid £65million for Van Damme? Think it might have been £2.5mill

Ed van damme was bought for 2.5 mill not 6.5 mill and was sold for the same

Gibo, Van Damme was nowhere near £6.5 million. A fee reported to be around £2.5 million was paid.
