What about Simeon Jackson, Danny Simpson, Carlton Cole, Sanchez Watts - only 22 but may not be any better than we got. Alternative views?

Unfortunately we are in League 1 isn't going to happen.

Forget names mentioned not going to happen in div. 1, think with young strikers we have got, should be okay in div. 1, even cassidy done okay in this league hitting 11 goals in 23, siggy should do well in this division and mcalindon should be knocking on door this year, and if griffiths wants to play for we he will score goals for fun in this division, once we are shut of the trouble makers and get some fresh faces in I think we will be okay, and I think we will get promotion with our new coach who seams to know what his needed in this division, has deano nice guy has he his had not got a clue. wolfy

Anyone joining us - and that won't be for a couple of weeks at least - will likely be someone struggling to get into the first team at a Championship club, or a good player already in L1 looking for a bigger game.

There's a chance that a Premier player at the end of his career will come, but I'm guessing that's not KJ's style and besides, dropping two divisions doesn't happen much. (But Sol Campbell went to Notts County, briefly).

I doubt we'll be signing good overseas players at this level. But we can hope.
