I don't think Batth is a lost cause just needs the right partner and some education in his position. I know he lacks pace but I think if we got rid, we'd be regretting letting him go. Thoughts?

07 Aug 2016 06:40:31
Tam sorry he's ****.

07 Aug 2016 08:18:08
Agree, Batth just can't cut it since Stearman left.
Good CB and captain shouldn't be completely reliant on another player.

07 Aug 2016 08:41:15
The thing is hrs never had an old head next to him so that's probably it hasn't worked out.

07 Aug 2016 19:59:54
Stearman! Played about 50% of Fulham games last year and on bench for first game this year. Struggles for pace and does what Iorfa got sent off for on Saturday every single game. Let's move on. Batth is certainly not a polished defender but does put his body on the line for the team. Will get at least five goals a season. Difficult as Hause will be a quality player given time and support and Iorfa looked better at CB at end of last season. Don't want to lose either of the young prospects but think criticism of Danny is unfair. There's a dilemma for Walter to sort.

06 Aug 2016 21:27:45
Last time we drew to 2-2 away on first game remember what happened 🍾🍾🍾🍾.

06 Aug 2016 19:25:09
Bodvarsson was class and Teixeira was amazing when he came on, still need 4 more players in my opinion
* CB
* DMC
* AMC
* ST.

07 Aug 2016 08:48:56
We have strikers injured Dicko back soon Zyro later in season in defence Williamson hopefully one day will be fit and Silvio has arrived with Talisca I think we are about there unless we want a whole new team.

06 Aug 2016 17:01:58
On honeymoon in Croatia. Listened in on Wolves player. Take the point all day long.
We are as one again.
UTW.

06 Aug 2016 17:17:00
Congrats on your wedding and happy honeymoon, your future anniversaries will forever be reminder of when we turned the corner :-)

06 Aug 2016 17:41:41
Thanks Ulf, bang on the mustard there! I will remember today so well even if it was 'only' Rotherham away!
Onwards and upwards my friend.
Keep The Faith.

06 Aug 2016 16:03:35
Anybody else think Β£20 million would be better spent on four Β£5 million players with backbone and a midfield general/ captain.

06 Aug 2016 16:34:57
After what our new Euro's have just done? Who've never played in Chump before, set up and scored a cracking goal with only 10 men :-)

06 Aug 2016 17:33:36
Fair comment but don't u think 20 million players will be needed more in the premium. we need a bit of grit and determination to get out of this league. oh and by the way Rotherham will be in the bottom six of this league.

06 Aug 2016 17:40:50
I do agree we may need some experienced high quality Chump players, especially come Winter when it's cold and miserable, but if so we'll learn that and sort it. This is a work in progress, I'm just going to enjoy this season, accept they (Fosun and Zenga) need to learn the ropes and settle, and if we do threaten for promotion this season it's a bonus.

06 Aug 2016 15:38:50
WTF is Zenga doing with that TERRIBLE midfield selection? Have we not signed any midfielders during the transfer window so far? Out of 5 new signings, only ONE starts, with 3 on the bench and one who doesn't even make the squad! Is he trying to prove for once and for all that we need to get the cheque book out and get some quality signings in? Mr Guo and the Benfica President must be really impressed with this bloody awful showing so far.

06 Aug 2016 15:44:35
Well said Doncaster Wolf! I couldn't agree more! (Oh, hang on - that's me! )

06 Aug 2016 16:36:46
Wow, quick on the negativity and already looking wrong. Some of our new players aren't match fit yet so one has come on 2nd half and made all the difference.

First half was still Kenny's team, you are too impatient and not giving this a chance. Kenny's former team isn't Zenga or Fosuns fault.

06 Aug 2016 17:00:23
I stand by my comments; that was a terrible midfield and we had the options to make it a whole lot better from the kick off. While I am very relieved and happy that we got the draw, none of us can answer what might have happened if we'd had a strong midfield from the opening minute, which was NOT the case.

06 Aug 2016 17:10:24
They need to learn, they clearly are doing.

People need to lose this frustration and expectation from the years of built up frustration over us getting nowhere under Moxey. This is a new start, it's going to take a while for it to find it's feet, it deserves our patience.

And we were a team today, in the 2nd half we were exciting and impressive, Zenga's passion and influence beginning to come through, it will take some time. Personally I'm impressed and proud of the team today, I'm confident it will get better as it all gets more settled and gelled.

06 Aug 2016 17:15:23
And according to the radio commentary, Fosun (and Mendes) were impressed, they were engrossed in the 2nd half and enthusiastically applauding the team and Zenga at the end.

And looking at today, Zenga uses subs really well and the team are quickly becoming one with him - passionate and battling. We are so much better off than we were, imo this is heading in exactly the right direction for what we should want to be.

06 Aug 2016 17:29:27
He must have been impressed with Saville and Evans in training but where was Silvio?

06 Aug 2016 17:32:04
Totally agree with you Ulf! UTW πŸ‘.

06 Aug 2016 20:07:11
Was it the midfield at fault for a set piece corner or a 25 yard screamer? No didn't think so. We do need signing but the right ones to compliment this squad. Excellent point away from home.

07 Aug 2016 10:57:38
To be honest I think Zenga was probably giving them a chance. He'll want to have the dressing room on his side so didn't want to drop everyone straight away. However, I'd think teixeira has now forced his way into the next team.

06 Aug 2016 15:29:10
I think our owners will now realise that they will need ten new players not 5 .

06 Aug 2016 15:28:51
2-0 down already to a poor Rotherham!? .
Saville in midlifeild!? .

New dawn my grannys a**e is it

06 Aug 2016 17:32:23
Saville had a great game!

06 Aug 2016 17:53:17
What the same Saville that scored?

06 Aug 2016 18:11:04
Saville did a great job 10 men he cover all the ground wolves fans my ass. and kj would not have gone 341 would he fk.

06 Aug 2016 14:50:12
Anybody any idea why Ennis hasn't been given a squad number and not even on the bench today? Injured? Going off on loan? Not a lot of pace up top and thought he'd be idea to throw on with 20 mins to go.

06 Aug 2016 17:29:55
My guess on loan.

06 Aug 2016 17:51:54
Ennis is carrying a slight injury, tweeted today he was disappointed not to be in the squad.

06 Aug 2016 19:34:06
Cheers. If I remember right he got a dead leg or similar in the Swansea game and was limping a bit. Just think he gives us other options.

06 Aug 2016 14:44:55
Benfica president at game today with mendes and main man.

06 Aug 2016 14:30:24
Of the new signings only Bodvarsson starts. Hopefully another week if training and the others will be good to go. COYW.

06 Aug 2016 10:02:24
Sorry metz.

06 Aug 2016 08:00:21
morning all. Very excited about this season and where we will go with the new owners. There is a slight nag to me though 'be careful what you wish for'.
We've all wanted a change from the mid table mediocrity that the club was quite happy treading water in. And this is it.
I've been a Wolves fan since mid 70's and I've seen it all at my beloved club and I'm a bit long in the tooth to be swept along with all the hype. But I will kick and head every ball as usual and my Saturday night mood will depend on our results.
Good luck Walter, you carry the expectation of quite a few. I hope my wedding anniversary has a happy ending!
