Lewis McGugan deal is getting closer, but not for the £6m quoted on here. The bid is only £2m, but should be acceptable to a Championship team expected to finish mid table.

*

a) We're not selling for two million, it's six or nothing.
b) We're second favorites to go up with an excellent manager?

Excellent manager? Look what McClaren did for England, oh yeah we failed to qualify for Euro 2008. You missed out on promotion through play-offs two seasons in a row. You're going nowhere mate.

Its only my opinion but why do people say we did well to survive . Thats 3 seasons in the prem now. look at Stoke,Villa. Just because we are Wolves, lets not expect to struggle again.Stoke were comfortable and Villa paid big bucks for Bent and stayed in the Prem. We need two MAJOR signings b4 kick off.Have we all forgotten we stayed up by the skin of our teeth last time. I would be happy with one more.

Did well to survive = stayed up by the skin of our (bared) teeth, that's why people say it

we will struggle and so will lots of others, it's called surviving in the prem

We stayed up two season on a row not three.

Didnt say in a row mate

God you lot are thick, no wonder West Brom are the better out of the two of you...

if west brom better than us how come they didnt beat us last season

Second favourites ? I don't even think your second favourites to be top team in the east midlands pal

Second favourites your 16/1 joint 3rd with ten teams lmfao

2nd favourite's behind West Ham, Birmingham, Blackpool, Cardiff, Reading, Leeds, Ipswich, Leicester, Southampton, Brighton, Hull, Middlesbrough and Burnley, Forest fans, still stuck in the Clough era

Lmfao as well

Just read Greg Halfords comments in the E&S. Apparently he's as good as Johnson - yeah right. When it was rumoured that Pompey wanted him I offered to drive him down there myself

He also says that Managers don't understand him and don't want work with him on a one-on-one basis Excuse me but isn't he a footballer (and not a very good one at that) shouldn't he be able to work for himself and set his own goals/targets

Get real Halford - enjoy the south coast sun - we'll never see you in Wolvo again 'cos you ain't getting promoted for a long time

Halford must of been drunk when he said that lol

Sour grapes. That is all that is wrong with him.Good luck to him in Pompey.
Gibo.

Hey if it wasn't for Halford ruining the Steve Sidwell deal through twitter we would never have got O'Hara and I doubt we'd have stayed up without him
DB

Glad Halfords gone though...

Look, I didn't rate Halford but what
chances was he given? About the
same as Maierhoffer, Daniel Jones,
Hammill etc. What young youth team
players have broken through under
McCarthy?-take out Hennessy who
only featured when Murray got injure
d and not many more. This is also why
we are not spending money because
Morgan is not giving it him to spend
because his patience is running out.
As for Portsmouth being a bigger club
they are not-but historically they
are about the same

When would you have wanted to give the above a chance? Maierhoffer's last game saw him lunging about the pitch like an ape unable to create or do anything. Hammill came in during a tough period whilst Hunt and Jarvis were playing extremely well. I would say that as we survived by only point last season any risks taken would had led to relegation. We'll see what happens with them this season though.

wish wolves fans would stop moaning on here and moan to the molineux by sending them an email

We would if they would respond-but they
don't, unless of course you want to do it through the totally biased and ineffectual fan's parliament.

will the hammer choose us,a team where there is a good chance of prem league survival...or...a london based team near his home who will guarantee him first team football each week....hope we dangle a better financial package to tempt him here...

He will choose QPR-more money and London

Triers? Why does everyone hate the fact we have people that try in our team? We have to have something extra in our squad, because we are who, we are Wolves, not Barcelona
If we could buy better quality of player, we WOULD, we take what we can and take a gamble on players who could make it (Jarvis, Doyle et al) and the sooner we (the fans) realise that the better we will all feel.
We are adding each yeah, O'Hara, Johnson and if we do get the German they are all better than what we started last season with.
Also, if anyone thinks Foley is only a 'trier' then I personall feel you are sadly mistaken, that boy is quality, versatile and consistant. He is our Gary Neville, and no one just called him a trier.

EDM

Funny enough, I've often thought this about Foley. He does seem to be like a veritable 'Gary Neville'. Calm, assured, likes to play it on the floor, finds the player with his passes, would slot into Nevilles recently vacated RB position. I thought some time ago that I wouldn't be surprised if Ferguson came in for him

If you look at Foley he's been one of the most consistent players we've had for the last couple of years. Whats more is the lad can only improve his game with more experience in the Prem.

Foley in at rb..zubar on the left...all our problems solved

It baffles me how people criticise 'triers' as you put it. People only see the beautiful passing and possession of Barcelona nobody seems to see that every player who wears the Barca shirt covers more ground than anyone else on the pitch, they press for 90+ minutes all over the pitch harassing the opposition to win the ball back, they work the hardest, thats why they are the best. im glad we have a team who work their socks off, we can't beat the big teams for quality, we can work harder than them though
