Hi guys! I've been a Wolves fan since 1963 and as a wrinklie wolf, I have a few comments about the bigger picture so far as Solbakken is concerned. My own feeling is that although I want promotion back to the Prem as much as any of you, I am prepared to wait 2 or even 3 seasons for this. My hope (and belief) is that Stale will get his vision and his way of playing right through the whole of the club including the reserves, the up and coming lads who are currently on the fringe of the first team, the academy kids and all the backroom staff. The aim must be to have everyone understand how he wants the team to operate and for those ways and habits to be instilled in all levels of the club so that (like Liverpool back in the 70s and 80s) it's possible to bring players through the ranks who understand what is required of them and the way the team trains and plays and thus they can seamlessly be introduced to the first team. This is the real strength of teams like Barcelona who, although they will still buy from other clubs as needed, are able to call on any number of their fringe players and know they will be able to fit into the team straight away. That is, I believe, what Stale is aiming for ultimately and that is what will bring us mid and long term success. This is why I am happy to give him time (and I reckon he's already doing wonderful things at this time of transition) Again if it takes us 2 or even 3 seasons to become what he wants then that's fine. It's better to plant the seeds now and see something beautiful and strong grow inside Molineux that will make us a real force in English football again. These are only my thoughts and you're all welcome to argue and criticise. COYW!! Doncaster Wolf.

Good post,nice 1.MFA

Well, the only thing I can say to that mate is - spot on. Well said.

Whether you like it or not, fans are going to have to be patient. The encouraging signs in the short term is that you can slowly begin to see the passing style of play Stale is trying to implement. I was at the Sheff Weds game and you could count the number of long balls in the entire 90mins on one hand.

The most frustrating thing about last season was the complete inability to hold onto the ball and it looks like that's one of the first thing Stale has tried to put right.

Agree with the post manager trying his best, but held back by morgan/moxley we will not move forward with morgan

Morgan judgment should be reserved on promotion and how much backing Stale is given that doesn't mean a blank cheque, as long he can't come back and say he wasn't backed or couldn't get the player he wanted we are in business.
