hi everyone I have got to say this. all things are quiet but strange quiet has descended on wolves which makes me think there is something massive to come out news wise. I have seen this build up over the last 2 weeks.
I also like to add that bob laslett is part of an investment company I can't for the life of me remember what it is called.

03 May 2016 16:41:06
Bob Laslett is a director of several companies, some of which are not trading. His major involvement is currently as a director of Driver Group PLC. It's listed on the "junior" AIM stock market, with a market value of only £20mil. He's very small fry compared to Morgan. He might well have backing from India, as people have said, but on his own he's out of his league in buying Wolves.

congratulations Leicester city you have given us all hope.

Say KJ were to be kept on, the players KJ wants were purchased and we made it to the playoffs could you forgive KJ for this season?

03 May 2016 13:34:13
Not happening.

03 May 2016 15:54:11
This is totally irrelevant really as he doesn't choose or buy the players. I am a season ticket holder like many others and it is not a case of forgiveness but his incompetance in team selection, substitutes and tactics. It was some of the most bizaare stuff I have seen in many a year.
It's more a case of mistrust like I do not (and never will) trust Moxey or Thelwell.

If we have any ambition to progress to the premier league we have to address the problem as soon as possible, Saturdays game against Sheffield Wednesday doesn't mean nothing win or lose give others a chance in first team cannot do no worse and Wednesday won't go flat out having qualified for play offs so we don't want to get carried away if we win.
Hope we can get new owner or owners for next year or for Morgan to have a change of heart and invest some of is wealth and get this football club back to the top of the championship were we belong no excuses next year MR. MORGAN sort it out one way or the other if you care about the football club like you said.

Bigwolf,

As rich as Morgan is I don't think he's rich enough to carry Wolves where the fans want to go. Even "little" Leicester spent £57mil on their squad, and that was a bargain-basement amount. What's the point in Morgan bunging us a measly few million next season?

04 May 2016 16:21:45
Good point. Leicester spent £57 million presumably aiming for Premier safety rather than a tilt at the title. Don't know what Bournemouth or Watford spent, probably quite a bit less than that. Then again what's Villa's or Newcastle's teams worth? 2015 prices, more than Leicester I would bet.

With the best Wolves players worth, what, £2-3 million and much of the squad less than a million we're looking more like £15-20 million if we're to buy a squad like ours from new. Might be enough to get promoted if things go right, but to stay in the Premier? Not very likely.

I agree it's probably time for KJ to step aside however I think we need a bit of a reality check as he is getting way more stick than he deserves for the job he has done for us.

KJ's appointment was 100% the correct decision at the time and proved by the fact we broke the all time record for the league. We were also great to watch the second half of last season and probably over achieved not under achieved given the outlay in comparison to other teams in the championship and again broke the record for points not making the play-offs. We have a habit for records but we gave it a real go and were extremely unlucky when you look back at the all other seasons and how many points are required. The second half of the season showed how important the right players were.

He was the right man but this season and this season only he has let himself down. He's undoing his own good work but he deserves a lot of credit and not the ridiculous comments about him being a clown etc. We were a laughing stock and many on here were saying we would go down again the mess we were in. let's not forget the state we were in and all those players we had causing problems.

Yes it's probably time to go but this isn't all down to KJ. He's made a rod for his own back by not selecting KMAC and Price for example but other than that the change in playing style has been more imposed on him through injuries and the mess above. You can't tell me he has decided he no longer wants 3 powerful, pacey, skilful attackers and wants to play for draws.

In reality we should be higher but based on outlay should we make the play-offs? not a chance. Look at the top 6 and their squads after coming down or the money they have spent ala Boro, Derby, Sheff W. Brighton are the only surprise as you'd have thought QPR would be up there.

1 bad season in 3 and given the injury situation, having Thelwell in his way, the club being up for sale and loss of such important players doesn't make him a terrible manager.

I'll be thanking him this weekend and not sh*tting on his reign.

Just Smith

I admire loyalty and applaude your post in part, KJ has found the level he should manage at, and if he want's continued success then Div 1 is for him.

I am sure any manager would want 3 good strikers, so why after a minor bust up at Compton was Afobe dropped to the bench, why after chasing him for 6 Months did we never see Jordan Graham. The list of players KJ publically stated were no good who were put out on loan then hailed as great players when he needed to bring them back, obviously Millwall can get the best out of players, not Kenny.

A point that must not be missed in all his achievements is, last season we were lucky, very, very lucky, on many occassions we snatched a victory from a game we were being dominated in.

I am a STH, I go to all the away games (refused to go to Boro, due to Sky) and a lot of the U21 games at Telford on cold Monday nights. So I'm not an armchair fan and am as passionate as anyone about the Old Gold and Black, but KJ no. My patience has worn thin, I have met him on many occassions at Telford but sorry we need a manager, a real manager.

Please understand this is not having a go at your views, all views are valid and from the individual, these are just mine.

COYW's (in my case, preferably without KJ)

I agree with you StuWolf that he has found his level however at this present moment so have we as a club and that's what we sometimes forget. His tenure as a whole has more positives than negatives and he doesn't deserve the severity of criticism he has got.

The trouble is we have a tendency to get rid of a manager and not replace with better. After that 5-1 against Albion I'd finally lost patience with McCarthy long after others had but in hindsight we'd never have dropped to lg 1 under Mick.

Rodgers and Pearson are the 2 I'd want but would they come here? After that I see talk of Sherwood. I'd be devastated if we appointed him. I'd give Lambert of Norwich a go but at Villa he was panned so they all come with baggage.

I'd like a new manager however only if he is better than KJ and how do you persuade someone better than KJ under the current set up? In a perfect world we'll be sold or Morgan will return and invest and persuade one of those 2 but what if we aren't sold and are starting the season as we are today. We've tried the left field European approach but got rid before he had chance to even implement his style on the team, we've had the experience under Mick. I just can't see a good manager take this job as we are. As a club right now we are a mid table championship club in finances, players, manager, board and spending capabilities.

If we can get better than KJ great I'm all for it but if not let's see what KJ does when he has Dicko, Graham, Williamson etc back as Dicko and Mason upfront would have given KJ a lot more success than what he has to work with at present.

Just Smith,
I will back you 100% on Nigel Pearson, he is very much a part of last nights Leicester success.

As you've probably guessed I'm not a regular on this site, I have a mate who has strong links inside Molineux, so I come on here when he gives me the nod to see what the realist is saying. He seems to have as reliable a source as my mate and that confirms things for me.

So with what my mare is saying at present and the realist is releasing albeit tentatively, I am feeling s tad optimistic of late snd can see some light at the end of a very dark tunnel.

Thanks for the honest and refreshing exchange.

COYW's.

03 May 2016 14:07:44
I hope you're right mate. Something has got to change.

Morning All

I am seeing a lot and hearing a lot of things on web sites and from Compton. It all seems to be pointing towards some kind of announcement early next week. In my opinion this can only (if true) be one of 3 things.

1. The club has been sold.
2. Jackett isn't getting his 12 month rolling contract renewed.
3. Morgan is taking the club off the market and is possibly re investing.

All of those, I know are a bit obvious. But my gut feeling, and I stress this is purely my personal thoughts, is that it might be number 3. Whether or not this is with or without Jackett in charge I really don't know.

Oh well. Could be an interesting few days coming up. I'm sure the rumour mill is going to go into overdrive for the next few days.

Have a good week all.

I'd like Morgan to recommit, at least he's Brit and imo he has the potential to be as good as any owner (within reason) and think Moxey was always the problem rather than Morgan.

But he's wasting his time coming back unless he bins Moneyshop sponsorship, imo WWFC is finished as anything other than a small local club unless that happens, and in the process of that manifesting there's going to be a lot of hate and bitterness that I doubt Morgan has the stamina for.

Imo best hope, Morgan recommits, blames everything and especially Moneyshop on his idiot pet hippo Moxey, sacks him and his Moneyshop friends from the gutter. Happy days :-)

03 May 2016 08:53:24
I hope its one and two.

03 May 2016 08:56:57
He may think he could come back as a saviour, bin moneyshop, sack Moxey and invest a decent amount to have a real go next season. Leicester's achievements have made most of us remember why we love football if not necessarily our own club currently. He must be feeling the same.

I like Morgan, yes he's done some odd things but on the whole he was taking us in the right direction long term so it was a shame how it came to such an abrupt end. As far as owners go unless we get taken over by a billionaire willing to throw endless amounts of cash at us we won't get much better.

03 May 2016 10:05:01
I keep telling you all Bob Laslett is the buyer backed by Indian investment.

03 May 2016 12:52:24
Could you ask Bob if he's going to sack Moneyshop? If yes that's already good enough, but could you also ask him if he'll sack Moxey too? If the answer is yes again I'll be happier than the happiest Leicester fan :-) The only thing better would be if he had it filmed so we could watch him sacking Moneyshop and Moxey (& for future generations it could go in the Wolves museum) .

03 May 2016 14:33:48
All I know is Bob Laslett will be the new owner. Wether he keeps money shop sacks jackett or retains Moxey, I have no idea.
