The Kortney Hause deal is official fair enough. But this lad, while being an L2 hot property, looks as if he picked up a bad injury in mid-November. Did we beat Everton to the signing or did they back out? Any more info? wolfshead.

31 Jan 2014 22:30:56
Wolves have now signed Kortney Hause from Wycombe on a two and a half year deal. Left sided centre half, one to watch for the future no doubt.

31 Jan 2014 22:20:59
Korney Hause signed on 21/2 year deal. Good young prospect.

A what?

{Ed039's Note - 2 and a half lol)

31 Jan 2014 22:15:34
Best deal we have done for many a year was in close season, when we got Kenny Jacket.

31 Jan 2014 21:38:31
Anyone outside Compton or Molineux with two hours to go until window closes. If all locked up then we assume business is done and rumours surrounding Pritchard, Hause and Hogan are just that.rumours. Is there anyone out there?

Knock once for yes and twice for no!

Wolves pleased to announce the signing of highly-rated young defender Kortney Hause from Wycombe Wanderers. Kortney has signed a two-and-a-half year contract after joining for an undisclosed fee.

Credit where credit's due for Mr. Moxey. If you hate him, your opinion must be altered slightly after reading this:

Buy's:

Kevin McDonald - £750,000
Scott Golbourne - £700,000
Leon Clarke - £750,000
James Henry - £250,000
Michael Jacobs - £200,000
Nouha Dicko - £300,000
Sam Ricketts - Free

Total= £2, 950,000

Sale's:

Karl Henry - £1,000,000
Wayne Hennessey - £3,000,000

Total= £4,000,000

Knight that man! Managed to bring in six top players for less than what we brought in for the sale of Wayne Hennessey, who hasn't really played a proper match for all of three years, is our third choice keeper and who refused to play for us. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Not only has he sold a few at good prices, he has loaned out RJ. Now if he can get rid of JOH he deserves a knighthood for services to Wolverhampton - Dare I start a " one Jez Moxey" tomorrow?

So we've made 1, 050,000 profit by buying plenty of players and selling 2

{Ed039's Note - Kevin Doyle off wage list as well)

First of all you are only guessing that is what the club got for those players. Our club do not give details of transfers.
I doubt very much that this is the amount that we have received for Hennessey. it may be a total if a whole series of add ons came about.
Second this genius has cost us millions by overseeing a big fall in income because of two relegations.
Genius.

I'd hate to mention the Griffith's transfer because you'd probably wet your pants. Ooh, darn. wolfshead.

Moxey is and always will be a clown. Somebody seems to have forgotten the last 3 years of which he got off scott free. GET MOXEY OUT.

Seriously, I do wonder if some Wolves fans even want Wolves to do well. People always looking for negatives. Yes, Moxey and Morgan have been mugs, in that they oversaw successive relegations and poor managerial appointments. But, that being said, we are entering a new era and all of that must be forgotten. Although you may hate him, you have to acknowledge this amazing work he's done. Plus, we don't need Griffiths at this club. He's not the kind of character you want around a club when times are hard. Dicko is our new man and I'm sure Clarke will do a decent job too. Rant over.

You may wonder if we want Wolves to do well. The answer is yes and that is why we don't want to accept the mediocrity that has been happening to the club.
Have you noticed we are in the third tier of the football league. Happy with that are you?

Fair point, but I feel that positivity amongst fans is very important. I couldn't honestly sit here and say I'm not disappointed that Wolves are in League One, but there's nothing we can do about it other than keep getting behind the team. When we were lower/mid table in the Prem, fans were still calling it 'mediocracy' and calling for McCarthy to be sacked, then Solbakken, Saunders (admittedly he was awful). Now, although we are in League One, we've surely got something huge to build on. We have a team who are young and hungry, playing for the shirt and also actually playing some very good football at the moment. As well as this, we have a cool head of a manager who I'm sure is capable of taking us out of this league and beyond. Come May, I'm sure there'll be a renewed optimism around the place. Personally, I'm happy with how things are going now and believe we will be back in the Premier League at some point I the next 3-5 years. Up the Wolves!

But as he said its a new era, so while I'm not happy about it, it's a fresh beginning. I mean it's been a long time since I've been excited for match day especially today with Clarke and stuff. Get behind the team or piss off

WILKO

That's exactly the attitude!

31 Jan 2014 18:38:00
I see Henry is shouting his mouth off again, this time claiming that Wolves relegation was a disgrace. He may be right but was he not a pillar of it coming about? Get real and accept your part in it Karl which in my opinion was major. Stop trying to offload your responsibility to others, you were skipper!

For a so called wolves supporter he talks a load of rubbish about us

31 Jan 2014 19:47:27
Except when Johnson was skipper. But yes Henry's play wasn't of the standard needed for us to play in the Championship. He seems to have got better again at QPR, for reasons we can only wonder about.

All players have dips in form. Look at Doyle he hasn't turned into a bad player overnight. Think KH needed a move, became one dimensional. Pleased to see him do well. He still the same guy who bought the pies at Blackpool.

31 Jan 2014 17:42:05
so siggy gone to molde
doyle gone to qpr
cassidy at tranmere
griffiths going to celtic

so at this moment

dicko
clarke
mcalinden

are our only senior strikers

if one of them gets injured what are we going to do

We've still got Griffiths he hasn't signed

{Ed001's Note - he has had a medical though, just waiting on that to confirm his signing.}

31 Jan 2014 18:03:27
Most of these are loan deals so not necessarily gone forever. Plus the loan market will be available to us soon.

Doyle will return if he has changed and back to scoring ways and Siggy will come back. Siggy is at the stage in his career when he needs to star week-in week-out so he can improve and he'll come back half way next season (hopefully in the championship) and start scoring, and it'll be the end of the Norwegian season.

31 Jan 2014 17:22:30
frimpong only at barnsley until june, is he waiting for us to get promoted so he can join us? #keeptherumourgoing

WILKO

Are you sure. Thought it was permanent not loan.

It was permanent but he only signed a 6 month contract

WILKO

Think it is a loan with a view to a permanent.

31 Jan 2014 17:18:36
Griffiths hasn't signed for Celtic!

Yes he has

31 Jan 2014 16:53:42
Crimping has gone to Barnsley for the rest of the season. Worth watching developments.

He has signed 4 an undisclosed fee

So you think he would commit himself to a club that is going down to Div 1?

31 Jan 2014 16:49:04
I'm guessing Clarke gets the vacant no.9 shirt now then. Good bit of business today Mr. Moxey. Could we not have added o'hara as a BOGOF?

NO watched the video of him today wearing NO.28 on his training jackett and on his shorts.

31 Jan 2014 20:03:46
One of Clarke and Dicko will get the no 9 shirt, surely.

Seems unfair the other will have a large number on theirs. Unless they can prise the 8 from Davis' back.

Clarke NO.9 Dicko NO.40

31 Jan 2014 15:56:15
Kortney Hause signing from Wycombe according to ssn.

One for the future again will be the line. Really cannot understand why to be a Wolves player you have to be over 21. If they are good enough at 17-18 play the b#gg##s. Can only hope that with all the recent change the future is bright and we will use the players that we have nurtured that can only be good for us.

This lad is injured, ankle?, hasn't played for Wycombe since mid-November. Is this why Everton didn't sign? Or should we just stand up for the accountant. wolfshead.

31 Jan 2014 15:21:15
How about we give Moxey a Standing ovation tomorrow and sing his name. He has done a great job today (And in the past), £3m for Hennesay, £1m for Grifiths and fingers crossed Doyle to QPR. This bloke has had a lot of stick in the past, but we forget what his Job is? It's to make money for WWFC and negotiate the best prices for players. He did it last year with Jarvis and Fletcher and he has done it again today. Its easy to blame people when things are going right, but think about it, we are one of a very few teams who are ran properly and not in Debt ( Look at a few other clubs like Leeds/QPR - They are going to be another Prtsmouth the way Harry's going. Blackburn/Sheff United/Sheff Wed/Bolton.
I for one and I hope another 18,000 will join me tomorrow to give Jez Moxey a standing ovation beacuse he does actually deserve it, he could have easaly walked away when everone was calling for his head.

Well done Jez, Great business negotiations again today, just 1 more to sort before the deadline and that's Tango Man O'Hara.

Is that you Jez?

Dude I think you'd stand up for Moxey if he sneezed. wolfshead.

I will give him some applause when he leaves, its down to him we are in this mess and division. Get a grip man!

Save a penny and lose a pound. Yep Jez is a hero.
Can you remind me which division we are in? What salary some of the players are on? Which of these high earners are playing? How much money we are losing because we are not in the greed league?
Superhero Jez.

You can blame Morgan for not putting enough money into the club but why blame Moxey for negotiating the price we can get for players and making the club finacially sound. Basically, what I am saying is that Moxey actually does a very good Job for this Football club and he is the one that gets all the stick. If fans ain't happy with something to do with the Club blame Morgan he's the one in charge of the actual club. No one slagged moxey off for getting the money for Jarvis/Fletcher/Hennesay and then he gets the blame for Morgan not wanting to invest it all back into the team.
And no i'm not Jez and I wouldt stand up if he sneezed. I stand up to applaude the team and the Management and back room staff when it is deserved.

I agree, Jez does deserve credit.

Well said mate!

Yes we are and Division 1, the wages they were on was in line with the division we were in when they signed thier contracts. let's be honest no one in the country expected us to fall as low as we have. The past players are to blame for that Not Moxey!

Moxey is trying to balance the mistakes of years gone by. Too long lucrative deals for nothing special without mega pay cuts for failure and limited incentives for success. Fletch and Jarvis filled the cracks for a bit and this is his swansong as he is on bonuses for performance and his position is in the balance. He WILL be gone in the summer.

Moxey is the CEO and has been for a very long time. A CEO is there mainly to make the business successful and profitable. If it was not for the parachute money we would be in trouble and certainly Morgan is not going to put his hands in his pockets.
In most other businesses the CEO would have gone a long time ago for the failures under his watch.
As for his prowess he is still living off of one deal. Camara. We don't know hos good or bad his deals are because the details are not disclosed but if they were that brilliant we would for sure.
Often you are judging by what you think not what is real For example if any of you think we really got anywhere near 14 million for Fletcher you must also believe in the tooth fairy.

31 Jan 2014 14:38:47
wolves will not sign anyone else now

31 Jan 2014 14:58:07
Well given the amount of movement out, never say never. But my money is on loanees in case of injury or poor play.

Okay jez thanks

31 Jan 2014 13:07:32
Frimpong has joined Barnsley disappointed we didn't try for him and loan out Davies

31 Jan 2014 12:44:57
Frimpong signed on loan. . . . For Barnsley!

31 Jan 2014 12:42:37
Excellent work by Moxey in this window yet again, he may drive us all mad but there is simply know one better at getting the right money for sometimes very ordinary payers, well done Jez and have a pie on me!

31 Jan 2014 14:56:31
Yes he plays the long game, keeping players until the price is right yet picks up players for under a million. If we get promoted we will need that war chest.

31 Jan 2014 12:37:34
Another Transfer window about to close and still no one showing any interest in Jamie O'Hara, Just shows how good he is and how much money he's on.
Jamie, if you were any good teams would have come in for by now. Pay him off Wolves now we got a bit of cash and get the remaining bad apple out of our club.

Send him to Burton on loan with us paying his wage and make the tub play for his money. We can negotiate a gate rise proportion payment as I for 1 would pop along to watch his reality check. a fiver is more than we get back now. but would they want him?

31 Jan 2014 11:50:05
with all these players going leaving the club today let's use the funds to hijack Frimpong from barnsley.

31 Jan 2014 11:29:15
With the queue now forming at the exit visa stamping department, anyone any news if Hollywood is packing the sun tan lotion? wolfshead

31 Jan 2014 09:42:12
Hennessey going is fine especially for £3m. Aaron McCarey has proved he is more than good enough to compete with Ikeme for the No.1 jersey. Saving all in Penalty Shoot Out vs. Walsall and only conceding 2 in 4 games and being on the losing side once.

However, if Doyle, Griff and Sig all go I feel we will be left a bit lightweight numbers-wise. Maybe Waghorn or Hogan could come in to bring us up to four strikers (Dicko, Clarke, McAlinden, +1) having said that, perhaps it's time for eith Keita or Bradley Reid to step up from the U21's

Siguardson will remain. The young lad will be given his chance behind the lone striker. Finally we will see what he is all about. Griffiths and Doyle can go, with our blessing. Money in pot for summer when we are prepping for another go at the championship. Clarke is for this season and will be squad player next year on. Financial saving on the change in striking options is immense, no more 30-40K a week. Now get rid of the loan outs, Foley, Elokobi and Ohara. Hennessey gone.

31 Jan 2014 01:00:06
Frimpong leads us wolves supporter on sooo bad lol. He posts wolves related things quite regularly, and posted a picture on Jan 9th of him holding his wolves shirt with the caption these were the days! Frimmy we want you back here as much as you want to be here but your going to have to drop 2 leagues and take a big pay cut. But if you love wolves like we do you would do it in a heart beat.

Breathe in slowly, and out - now just let it go.

Frimpong loves Barnsley now

30 Jan 2014 23:57:16
Just a Question, if today Brentford or Leyton Orient went & signed the leagues top goalscorer to cement there place in the top two would you all be happy or going mad at KJ & the board for a lack of ambition?

Spot on coseley glenn if we sigend aguero people on here would say he's not the answer
