Surely now we must be seen as the biggest club in the midlands, we're outspending all our dear neighbors attracting players they can only dream of, even that little club in sandwell with premier football on offer can't compete with us.
Must admit in all my 54 years of being a Wolves fan I've never been so excited, someone tell I'm not dreaming, even if we fail to go up this season I want to thank Fosun and Uncle Jorge for giving Wolves fans all over the world our club and pride back.
GodBless Wolves, GodBless Fosun😀😀🙏🙏.

30 Jul 2017 21:35:46
Im with you Dave. And been suffering for exactly as long. Its never been this exciting whatever the doom merchants say. Even if it does go banana shaped ( which it wont) let's enjoy what i think is going to be a hell of a season.

30 Jul 2017 22:12:57
I'm about to start my 56 th season.
I relate to you guys, Wagstaffe was my all time hero but these guys I watched on Saturday will produce some more of those magical moments I'm certain.
Buckle up.
Fold your trays away.
Hang on to the safety bars.
Enjoy the ride.
COMBambino's.

I lived with Frank Munro for a while in Limes Rd Tettenhall ( early 90's, shared house, mad landlord, long story. ) . He had some great stories. Getting to the point, and the Semi glory years of 1980 Andy Gray and beating fair and square the top teams in the country was unbelievable. It would be great to emulate that in next 2 or 3 seasons.

30 Jul 2017 18:36:44
Dicko, Big Willy, and now a Big Bona. Superb!

30 Jul 2017 19:29:14
Its going to be a long, hard season. Just hope we don't cock it up when it comes down to the climax.

30 Jul 2017 20:09:56
Don't bring any pussies to molineux.

30 Jul 2017 23:41:43
Just need to sign French right back Rod Fanni and the innuendo team is complete.

31 Jul 2017 08:24:57
Reads like the cast list of some backstreet porn flick!

31 Jul 2017 11:59:42
Absolute class 😂😂😂😂😂.

30 Jul 2017 16:12:52
Check out Leo Bonatini on Wikipedia.
It says he's a Wolves F. C. player.
I wonder who's put that on there.?

30 Jul 2017 17:01:22
Not on there.

30 Jul 2017 17:58:29
Just saw it on there - mention 1 yr loan.

30 Jul 2017 15:46:51
We all know by signing Andre Gray we would be in the top 3 this season. so basically it's going to cost the 20m reported to get us there. pretty good deal?

30 Jul 2017 16:41:28
No! Too much negative anti-glamorous baggage, too urban. At 26 too developed. Whoever is Wolves talisman to lead us to the Prem in Fosuns renaissance will brand the club with their identity. Andre Gray is too close to Andy Gray, but with baggage.

Afobe is the obvious choice. Younger so still a prospect, feels like ours because was in KJ's team so would keep everything feeling real, has class. In every way Afobe is right for what Wolves are supposed to be trying to do and become.

I hope Fosun get it right, everything else they've done (apart from not binning Moneyshop) has been excellent :-)

30 Jul 2017 17:00:22
What do you mean by 'too urban'?

30 Jul 2017 17:48:56
Scar from gang fight, renowned for homophobic tweets, renown for being with small town working class club Burnley. Add it to Wolves having some very poor run down areas, known for being depressed, having Moneyshop on the shirt, it will look to the modern English middle class like broken Britain has broken out into their World. It's not glam / classy, which is what our heritage is and where the big modern market is (that Burnley will never tap into) .

Afobe is opposite, from glam Arsenal, a gent, no issues and young enough to become us, especially having been in KJ's team and already part of us.

30 Jul 2017 17:53:16
If he was a few years younger and not already such a big name (for having got Burnley promoted), so he could grow with us and become us, wouldn't think it much of an issue.

30 Jul 2017 19:20:53
Very dramatic posts Ulf.

Sure Burnley will love your posts too, very respectful!

Afobe an absolute gent who made it quite clear he wanted out?!

Don't get me wrong, I'd welcome Gray or Afobe as long as they performed and set a good example to younger fans going forward - bit harsh to judge people on their past.

30 Jul 2017 20:02:04
I'm only seeing it from a marketing point of view. I remember when Wolves got promoted to Prem (can't remember if it was Jones or McCarthy era though) when a National paper had a story entitled, beware these wolves in wolves clothing. Effectively announcing to the Nation that broken Britain had reached the Prem.

I don't doubt Gray is a nice bloke and would do it for us, I don't doubt he'd be a big hit locally.

I don't dislike Burnley but they are one of the Northwests many smaller town working class clubs. A decade in the Prem wouldn't make them as glam as us, just like it wouldn't the Baggies :-)

30 Jul 2017 20:10:33
There will be another striker.

30 Jul 2017 21:56:43
Ulf burnley are one of the football leagues founding members, along with ourselves amongst others. Also generated 80,000 + fans at wembley in the sherpa van final with us. Doubt at that time chelsea or man city would have filled wembley with us if they were in the same position. Give clubs like burnley the credit they deserve as without them we wouldn't have a pyramid football system.

30 Jul 2017 23:19:52
I know, I have total respect for them, I'm sure they have a big fan base. But like Baggies, they don't have potential to be glamorous and with big market reach. Outside of the Prem there are only a few that have, us, Notts Forest and Leeds are main ones.

31 Jul 2017 07:45:14
Funny that Ulf, I would have thought "class" and "glam" was not having to put others down and refer to them as "working class". I thought that football was originally a "working class" ( I hate the term) game. Have prawn sandwiches taken you over and consumed you? You comments speak volumes.

31 Jul 2017 08:48:09
Gray had no choice over where he was born or how his circumstances affected his view of the world. He knew that he had to get out to move on so that is what he did. I have full respect for the effort and determination he has applied in making himself the best he can be. That is the story that the new diverse Britain needs to hear. Those tweets were years ago and were the stupidity of youth. If England had played a forward pair of Feeney and Gray it would not be pretty but who would want to play against them? Personally if I was Gray I would never go back but if he does come he'll get my backing.

31 Jul 2017 11:45:51
wollabby, I've had this lots from some Wolves fans, it's not my prejudice, it's their chip on their shoulder, compounded by how Moxey wrongly positioned the club, aiming for us to be a new Everton. Modern society is increasingly artisan / class-less and inclusive, it's the future. And that's great because that's the kind of club Wolves was originally, like Man U, Liverpool, Villa etc. It's why we were massive / National and have the potential to be again. Our glam kind of club contrasts with the other kind, which is urban, local, working class, putting a shift in, like Baggies, Everton etc. Wolves make themselves less, conflict with their heritage, brand and market potential, the more they allow themselves to be defined urban and local. Everything Fosun have done has been to move us in the right direction, but Gray is a potential very wrong turn and is concerning.

31 Jul 2017 12:50:49
Victory v - he hasn't put it behind him. His scar from gang fighting, that he's stated he got because he grew up in Wolves which is a rough dump, is his main twitter photo. He's made his scar, and his gang background his brand. Him at Wolves is going to help brand the City negatively to the Nation, the opposite of Afobe.

31 Jul 2017 13:53:42
Appreciate it's your opinion Ulf, but your talking rubbish. Supporters, first and foremost want a successful club that plays attractive football. Who the players are, make no difference, as long as they give their all and do the job - make the club successful. Your theoretical marketing and demographic appplications, don't make the slightest bit of difference.

Gray any day over Afobe, as he is a better footballer IMO!

30 Jul 2017 13:12:07
Just looked up Bonatini born on Bullys birthday. must be a sign.

30 Jul 2017 14:20:23
However as far as I can see he's Brazilian - hasn't got dual nationality, so work permit may be a problem as he's only been capped at under 17 level.

30 Jul 2017 15:01:07
Italian passport as parents are italian.

30 Jul 2017 15:29:32
Leo banotini has signed on loan for 12 months he looks class what a season to look forward to.

30 Jul 2017 16:58:04
He even maybe looks a bit like Bully across the eyes. A Brazilian Bully.

30 Jul 2017 11:39:46

30 Jul 2017 13:36:35
First time you ever wanted a delay to your flight I guess!

30 Jul 2017 15:28:15
😁😁👍👍.

30 Jul 2017 10:50:24
Sky sports football channel.

30 Jul 2017 10:48:34
Just a reminder to everyone, the Johnny Phillips documentary Workin With Wolves is on Sat mornin 10am on sky sports 1.

30 Jul 2017 10:41:32
I read the piece in the Mirror regarding linking us to Andre Gray.

One line that stood out was the following:

'Mendes, whose coterie of clients includes Jose Mourinho, Cristiano Ronaldo and Diego Costa, is in charge of the ins and outs at the Midlands club. '

I'm no legal expert, but surely the club should ask for a retraction. They have consistently said Mendes is not in charge of Wolves' transfer policy as it would be breaking football rules. This line is accusing Wolves of breaking those rules.

I hope they do ask for a retraction as there allegations can have a negative impact on the reputation of the club.

30 Jul 2017 13:05:11
Clivewolves just sit back and enjoy the ride, some people are never happy, I supose you wish morgan and moxey were running the show with Lambert as coach losing at home.

30 Jul 2017 13:32:51
Totally agree Clive it's poor journalism.

30 Jul 2017 14:00:22
Why do you think that?

30 Jul 2017 10:25:30
The striker won't be the name we're all hoping for. Leo Bonatini, Brazilian playing in the Saudi league, coming in on a loan to buy.

30 Jul 2017 11:04:43
Looks a good finisher sign him Big Jeff. 😁😁😂🙏.

30 Jul 2017 16:17:14
We are after 2 if mason goes.

30 Jul 2017 16:20:26
Wow 😳 Leo Bonatini goals.

30 Jul 2017 10:14:51
I think we could be hearing that both Mason and Batth will be gone this week, neither fit into the system we are playing.

30 Jul 2017 11:18:05
They both have never been good enough and Price can leave.

30 Jul 2017 13:08:55
Give credit were its due and you have to say Price as been first class so far Wolf and fits into the system, so why let him go, he as earnt is shirt on performances so far.

30 Jul 2017 14:02:03
Price backwards sideways when was the last time he scored and when was the last time a club bid for him been here too long achieved nothing get rid of.

30 Jul 2017 16:22:48
Batth a future England player. Good enough for Aston Villa and Leeds - not good enough for Wolves? Why make him club captain if he's leaving? Batth is going nowhere. Wolves fans too difficult - and players are often put off by the ireational hostility.

30 Jul 2017 10:07:19
Andre Gray anyone?

30 Jul 2017 07:12:35
after watching the new wolves play liecester off the park yesterday hope springs eternal let's hope that zyro can fill that gap up front top six no problem a joy to watch COYW.

29 Jul 2017 23:12:04
Only 9/1 joint third favourites to win Championship now. Finally people are sitting up and taking notice. Still think its a great bet ( i was in at 16s) . There is no shadow of a doubt that there will be an impressive striker signing and after that today, against previous Champions first team i reckon we could, and should, walk away with this league. Very exciting times.

29 Jul 2017 23:53:26
Andre Gray £20m latest romour. Bit pricey if you ask me especially with only 1 year left on his contract. good player and use certainly have him over our current crop. home grown lad as well. Can t see him dropping down a league though. wild have thought he wanted go better club than Burnley like a top 10 prem side.

30 Jul 2017 00:48:28
Andre Grey would be a good shout. Somehow though, I think he'll want premiership football, even though he's a local lad. ⚽️👍😉.

30 Jul 2017 10:42:07
If gray is priced at £20m then how come afobe not anything like that price also and why Bournemouth not priced him out a move v interesting times ahead.

30 Jul 2017 13:12:33
Would not want Afobe spits is dummy out when he does not get is own way, as he did at Wolves never broke sweat those last games for us before leaving for Bournemouth.
