Jacket has confirmed (ssn Transfer Centre) that there will be no more players coming in, he is happy with the business that has been done. Hopefully there will be a few leaving though, Hennesay to Palace/ Griffiths to Celtic/Doyle to Boro/Ohara to Milwall. Sako is staying and wants to stay now.
Could still be a couple of Loan signings though with another attacking Midfielder/Forward and cover for full back.

If anyone was to go of those you mention I'd say Hennessey (enough cover at gk) and O'Hara (played no part so far and looks unlikely to). Jackett will probably think a little more carefully about letting Doyle and Griffiths go if for no other reason than cover.

With no Griffiths, an injury to either Dicko or Clarke would leave him short in this department and require McAlinden to step in (some would be happy to see him play anyway). No team in our division can call players like Doyle or Sako from the bench to turn a match. So I doubt Doyler would be let go without a covering option being brought in, most likely at attacking/creative midfield. Which is probably where Mr Doyle could shine anyway. wolfshead.

Do we really need any more players, especially midfield?

Forwards - Dicko, Clarke, McAlinden, Siggy, Doyle, Griff (probably leaving), Cass

Mids - Evans, Price, Jacobs, Henry, Sako, McDonald, Edwards, Davis, Zeli, (OHara), Forde

Def - Batth, Ricketts, Stears, Golbourne, Doc, Ebanks, George, Foley

That's 2 teams, before taking the likes of Reckord and Ihiekwe into account.

Plus all our players on long term loan and who probably won't be back - Ward, Johnson, Tongo, Boukari, Margreitter

This is a massive squad that Mick would have been proud of! Why oh why do we keep Foley, Forde etc when we will never play them? I reckon a "second 11" would do OK in L1.

We can't just get rid of players, They have contracts, we can only move them on if someone comes in for them ( Loan or to Buy), If no one comes in for them we have no choice other than to keep them/pay their wages until the contract runs out. It was Mad Mick who gave these players long contracts.

But in reality Euroman how many of those you've listed are -
a) regular starters
b) can cut it at the top of this league - regularly
c) not already loaned out
d) subject to some transfer speculation

Have another look your list and count the numbers again - of those who are at the business end of winning the division or getting an automatic promotion spot. You'll be lucky to get a team and a couple of subs.

I don't think Kenny will take any unnecessary chances in running down numbers at this point and could just strengthen midfield if only through loan. wolfshead.

Hmmm not sure. Another midfielder will be a bench warmer at the mo. Or we demote someone like Jacobs which amounts to the same thing. A loan signing in a few weeks if we have injuries or we're not hitting the net would be my guess.

At the start of the season we played really well with Griff and Doyle up front and Evans and Price and Sako and McDonald in midfield. Wonder what has changed.

Would everyone just stop moaning about Leon Clarke joining omg no one is ever grateful for who we buy. He'll come in and if he scores a goal or two a game everyone will be wanting to wipe his ass if he signs just get behind him I can't wait for a dicko and Clarke partnership pretty sure he'd play them both and try out a 4 4 2 if fails revert to one striker but yeah please just give him a break KJ ain't made no mistake just trying to get some better firepower he can't be any worse than Doyle he's scored what 2 and Clarke 19?! So hush. I for one would bow sell Doyle and griff and bring in a decent attacking cm and and new cb not sure who though haha.
