But then again Monk is the only manager Leeds have had since 2013 who has had a pre season and lasted the entire season. Again proof that sometimes continuity works.

If we look at the top of the Championship table the 1 trend that is obvious is that 5 of the top 6 have stuck with their manager and have now reaped the rewards. The exception being Reading. Looking deeper, we are in a very similar position to Fulham in that last season, Jokanovic came into a struggling team in the relegation zone, just about saves them, identified areas that needed strengthening and acquired the players to improve the squad and 1 year on they're in the play offs. Also if you look at their immediate history you'll see that they struggled when they changed their manager on an almost daily basis.

What has been disappointing about Lambert is the very limited impact he has had. Agreed that the transfers bar January were not his but I would have expected more from him and his coaching team.
To blame Zenga and Mendes for everything is naive, Lambert has to take some blame also.
There are a lot of players who have become stale at Wolves and need moving on in the summer, and if and when Costa goes we need a similar type of replacement to keep the fans interested and the crowds up, he has lit up the place this season and we need to maintain this if possible.
I have mixed feelings on Lambert, I'd say let's see at Xmas and then make a call on him then.

Bigste64, I have looked at what he has done and I have looked at what PL has done and I cannot see any evidence that he would be a better fit than PL. If we are to change our manager, we need to be looking for much better than GM.

I have tried to be balanced with regard to lambert and agreed its not his squad and that he deserved the chance to shape a squad however if he thinks 3 or 4 is all that's needed he's deluded if we start next season with baath edwards price evans as mainstays it will be bottom 6 not top 6 the last 4 games have been pathetic i'm sick of seeing visiting fans celebrating on our ground the only thing lamberts got right is stuffing leeds i'm with paul t he has to go i'm sick of wasting money on overhyped overpaid garbage lambert sunday is a nothing game put the kids in I do not want to watch the garbage players I've watched for the last 2 years so mr shi over to you get us a manager fit for purpose anyone of the 3 who lose in the play offs will do because if you don't lambert will be out of a job by xmas and you mr shi will be out of a job by the seasons end.

I think we need to think about our situation, I'm sure lambert would love more than 4/ 5 players, but if we are going quality over quantity how do you change that many and still remain in fair play rules, and how do we shop out 50% of our players and only bring in 4/ 5 new. I would rather they spend 20mill on 4 players than 30 mill on 20. We need better! Hopefully some of our not as dire players will step up when they have better more creative players around them.

It's worth remembering that Marco Silva was approached by Fosun and turned us down as did Big Sam. Lambert said yes so Fosun hired him. No point chasing managers who don't want to work here no matter how good their credentials are. I would gave loved Big Sam taking over but he didn't want it. What the board need to do is make the decision early. If Lambert is to go, sack him this week but have a replacement lined up so pre season won't be wasted.
