I think our best business of the window was keeping sako

Yes. Our greatest asset.

Not enough.

£3.5m

JOH & RJ are still being paid by us. Nobody else wants them and if loaned out we will have to pay big % of wages or are they after big pay off. Why not make them carers for sick/ elderly /disabled for the rest of their contracts. Make them do something useful for their money.

Hull are after Shane long so that could also be Doyle stayin along with sako, so happy if its true!

WILKO

Happy days.

I can't understand why they sold Shane Long, I thought he was a decent player for them

Kj has said himself no one will be coming in or out of the club today so may look towards loan deals in the next week or soo
scotty wolves

We signed Bradley Reid. But he's still at school so perhaps he doesn't count.

My team for Walsall:

McCarey

Doherty Batth Stearman Elokobi

Ismail McDonald Evans Sako

Sigurdarson McAlinden

Good call, only thing I would change is Ebanks-Landell for Stearman in defence.

And change Price for Evans.

I don't think Evans can play because of internationals?
I would give Foley a run out and Price.

Does anyone else think that our good start to the season has convinced players that staying at Wolves is a good thing?

Eh, no.

To be honest McWulf I don't think there are many in the first squad that actually need convincing to stay.
Outside of that, JO'H and RJ will have to move, so they're going to need convincing to go rather than stay. You could pitch in the guys whose contracts are up Hunt, EB and maybe add Margreitter but, what the heck at this stage.
That essentially leaves Sako and Doyle. The problem there being who's going to pay Wolves-level wages (or indeed valuations)? So maybe nobody is rushing to get out.
On the other hand, if the good start is maintained will we begin to attract the right kind of players? Hmmm. There again will we need 'em? Aaagh.
wolfshead.

I guess it's Sako and Doyle I'm thinking about mostly, wolfhead. They haven't handed in transfer requests and neither has anyone else. OK, some might argue that they are on good deals for their abilities. But there's usually a QPR or a Blackburn around to overpay a player with attitude.

There will be no activity at Molineux today regarding players leaving or coming in. Just saw Jez Moxey at the petrol station, you guessed it he had a pork pie and redbull after walking back to his merc.

Hi drives a bmw

Maybe he has two cars?

So you saw Moxey at a petrol station and he told you everything did he? Hmm.

Whoever said that Sako was on his way to Liverpool perhaps got a little confused, as they have just signed a player called Mamadou Sakho!

Margreitter joins FC Copenhagen on a season long loan. Not good enough to play against Walsall but apparently good enough to play against the likes of Real Madrid, Juve and Galatasaray in the Champions League?

Margreitter on loan to FC Copenhagen, I really can't really wrap my head around that one.

02 Sep 2013 10:16:45
Is anybody on 'Asda watch?'

Just saw Marlon King buying a steak and ale pie in the freezer section

I had a pie too, how come no one spotted me?

Well deadline day is here, predictions - Sako to go, maybe bids for Doyle might go might stay.

JOH and RJ no bids but will be released and paid off. Think logically if you were the player you would wait for the pay off payday and if you were a club why pay a transfer fee today when you get him free tomorrow or January. (Not sure if free agents can be signed outside the window)

Yes, Sako to go, despite what the Molineux politburo are saying. RJ and JOH, well, that's anyone's guess. They seem to be playing hard to get and pocketing wages for doing nothing.

Apart from that, Doyle looks more and more like he's staying, his wages being a problem for most buyers.

Unless we get bids for Siggy or maybe Stears or Docherty I can't see any other outgoings.

Also I think incoming players, unless replacements for the above, will be through loans, not permanents.
