any wolves fan that says eggert jonsson is terrible doesnt know what they are talkin about. im a hearts fan and i have watched him play for years and he has been a great player for us u cant just judge him on 2 or 3 games mark my words.

He probably is a good player but we have a manager who destroys players ,he will be carp next year for sure if dopey MM stays

Problem is jambo we don't have the time, 3 games is 20% of the balance of our season, and this a dogfight, battle of britain style...remember? taka taka taka

The fact that you think Jonsson is a good player highlights the difference between the EPL and the SPL. Surely Milijas and Guiediora are a better option especially at this stage of the season? O'Hara will hopefully play on Saturday meaning Jonnson will be on the bench - which after his performance against Blues and Liverpoool should make him the luckiest bloke in football getting paid well and being in the vicinity of the EPL with his lack of ability.

Anyone know what's happened to Mouyokolo? Heard he's Ben sent back by the French club. What's the truth, Ed? {Ed001's Note - I haven't heard that, I can't find anything regarding it either. He has only played 98min for Sochaux though, so it wouldn't be a surprise if they sent him back, he seems to spend more time on the treatment table than anything else.}

All Im saying is that jonsson WILL come good for you then you wont be talking a load of s**t like how much better all teams in the epl are than all spl teams. Coz wolves probs get beat by at least 3 spl teams coz wolves are pretty bad!

I'm sorry but Jonsson is not PL quality. He may come good but he's never going to be PL quality. He may be a good player in the SPL and he may improve but he is not PL quality. Wolves have a number of players who are not PL quality and Jonsson is comparable to them. He's not got it. Granted I'm sure he can 'put in a shif' but he is not PL quality.

The SPL doesn't even deserve to be in the same sentence when talking about the EPL, he may have been good in the SPL but now he's playing in the big boys league.

A perfect example of this is Kris Boyd, had a 0.7 goals to games ratio in the SPL with Rangers and in the CHAMPIONSHIP with Middlesborough barely got 0.22 goals to games ratio. Say's everything my friend.

All the good young talent in scottish football usually end up playin in the epl you could name loads. So be quiet u bunch of english dafties

MON THE HERTZ ( get it RIGHT AROUND U winston)

I think a nerve has been touched in north of the border. Which 3 SPL teams would beat Wolves? I assume one and two would be Celtic and Rangers and this would possibly happen but the third? Who could that be? Anyone who thinks Celtic, Rangers or any other Scottish team could finish in the top six in the EPL is deluded. It would take MASSIVE investment which neither club posses. Outside the top 6 there is little to choose between the teams if you look at the league table. Having said all this I think the mighty East Stirling would have beaten us on Tuesday night!

I'm a Hearts supporter living in the Black COunty. I go to Wolves matches and, for all my sins, I support them when I go. I've also seen Eggert Jonsson play at Hearts and he is a much better player than he's showing here. I said to mates in Scotland that this was a bad move for the lad and it's proving to be just that. Mick just won't let him play his natural game so he looks less than ordinary. That's nothing new though. Ask Doyle, a wulaity player ruined by MM's system (or lack of it). On Tuesday night, Jonsson was criticised for the first goal. He was supposed to be playing midfield and the left back - all Wolves fansknow about that position - should have been where Jonsson was. Unfortunately the lad from the SPL takes the blame for trying to retrieve something from a position his team mates created. NOthing will improve at Wolves until the manager is changed. Oh how Molineux needs a Vladimir Romanov!

As I see it, we are Wolves supporters and over the years we have never had an easy ride. We have supported through highs and lows and across the leagues. We have to look at the bottom clubs and see that we are in a league of five maybe six clubs. We need to win this mini set up and will only do that if we all pull together. We can rant on all we like about Morgan not spending or Mick being a muppet but we need to play our part too. I know all too well that we have paid good money to watch poor football of late but we need to believe.

If we need to vent our wrath, lets do it at the end of the season because the players are named, the manager is obviously staying for now, like it or not. If Mick goes then I find it very sad that a man who has done so much for our club over the last few years, would be leaving amid so much vitriol and hate.

My life has been spent riding the roller coaster that is Wolves and if I wanted an easy ride I would become a Man U fan or jump on the Man City bandwagon. But I am a true fan, supporter and lover of Wolves fc and personally I won't be writing us off until May - Believe!

I admire your opinions but in reality and sadly in modern football they constitute
blind faith.

It's impossible, within the modern media arena to stop peoples opinions being aired publically. That's why this site has been created. I'm sure some of the players and probably the management look at some of these forums. The key thing we can do as fan is get behind the team. Don't vent your frustrations during the match, it's not going to help our players. Opinions are for the forums.

just reading your post ED about morgan planning on getting rid of mick but he didnt so in away wolves insider was right or maybe he was just guessing

02 Feb 2012 15:40:22
hey just noticed.....last year after 23 games we were 2nd from bottom....... but we had more points (21)!!
Isnt rocket science why the fans feel let down after promises given end of last year.
Make all the excuses you want but the bottom line is the club has a whole have failed this year..... so far

OH MY WORD FOUND THIS POST, JUST SHOCKED TO THE CORE!!!!!!!!!!Mick McCarthy premier league stats as a manager:
played 122
won 19
drawn 23
lost 80
goals for 107
against 221
points 80
win percentage 16%
Mick is now the proud holder of worst performance records in win percentage, points gained and goals scored for any manager in a top European division!"
and he has spent just under 50 million.
I thought football was a results business?? god i bet we wished we all had bosses like morgan, what a complete muppet we have down here, im not going to watch them again until that clown has been removed, there is nothing else to say is there, the bloke is not good enough, never has been and never will, his interviews are as boaring as his football, he and wolves just depress me, come on he said i would rather lose 3 nil and know we had a go, the person didnt put another striker on till we were 2 down!! Mick MCMORON OUT!!!!

Yikes! Makes for bad reading.
Gibo.

Amen to that, get him out before it's too late.

Why the hell would anyone employ him!

I put that on yesterday m8 and if you take when he was in charge of Sunderland in prem it's even worse nearly 200 games 19 wins it's a joke what's going on up there at min spend 18 million on new stand which will be empty get McCarthy out and bring in a young manager who will play football how it's supposed to be played and not be scared by other teams what other club play 4-5-1 at home negative no tactics couldn't change a plug McCarthy

Dont add his sunderland percentage cos its make even worse readin ..my granny could have done better

Does this take into account money spent per point because I know a couple of Sunderland season ticket holders and they and a large percent of Sunderland fans have a lot of time for McCarthy, the season they spent in the prem he had next to no money. I would imagine Moyes from Everton would come out on top of most points per pounds spent

We are the 11th biggest spenders in the whole country since 03.

And what do we have to show for it? a relegation battling team. imo its all down to Thick McHalfy(brain) his stats are shocking might as well play without a manager we might be a bit more organised!

As fans we have a right to moan, we pay bloody good money to watch them play. Tuesday night was the pits, and i han to laugh when people was stating Liverpool would be tired!! Looks like our lot are on their holidays already.! Wheres the strikers, weve only got Fletch, we need an established center forward who can put the bloody ball in the net...

We should but Richard Stearman as a holding midfielder so no one will get past him

Stearman cant pass the bloody ball!!!!

Stearman should have been sold or given away, never ever a prem player

Haven't you heard? Mick's newest strike partnership is Stearman-Elokobi!

What the hell can stearman do apart clean boots

Run fast n then fall flat on his face

Remember Stearman was a promising player when he came to mad mick so just another victim of no coaching

He impressively tripped over the half way line at the end of last year.

Elokobi scores more goals than he can defend. Get him up top! :P

Apparently Morgan was so unhappy after the defeat to liverpool he went into the changing room and gave them all a rollicking!

Mad mick will be the new leeds manager iff he sacked by wolves before saturday

Ill drive him there!

I think that this action by the chairman is extremely significant. Basically after that there is no place for either players or manager to hide, everyone knows now who the real gaffer is. Mick's statement that he (chair) does his thing and I do mine is now shot.

Makes me think that there was a lot more than transfer talk going on at the club in January (as anyone reading this site can testify). Ed 001, any ideas? Is this in effect notice for Mick? Be interested to read your comments. {Ed001's Note - Morgan was definitely all set to remove Mick last month, something persuaded him otherwise, I don't know any more than that. My reading would be that Moxey calmed him down and reminded of how success was achieved at Liverpool with continuity and time for the manager. But I am quite sure that he must be right at the end of his tether and I think the transfer window, and the chance to get a player or two in to turn things around, is probably what is being hoped will be enough to keep the team in the Prem. My reading would be that Morgan has gone into the changing room to back the manager and make the players aware of that. After all it worked at Man Utd for Fergie, the players were told in no uncertain terms that the board would get rid of the underperforming players and the manager was staying, the club's fortunes turned right round following that. But I can't see Mick being in charge next season unless there is a complete turnaround in form.}

Thanks 001, appreciate your reply. It's a most interesting situation right now and there are obviously some heavy weight forces at work. Wonder if Moxey did had a calming effect? Tell you what, this Saturday will be one to watch in terms of player turnaround. I'll be really up for it.
Oh to be a fly on that dressing room wall - or is that just being casual with life expectancy. {Ed001's Note - I am only guessing at Moxey, due to his position at the club, he seems the most likely person to have been the calming influence. It could simply have been he calmed down when he slept on it and decided it was just too late to act this season. Unless he already had a manager lined up to replace Mick, it would have been too late to make any signings by a replacement.}

What I witnessed Tuesday night was totally unacceptable the worst performance for many a year, there is no movement off the ball, the players just don't want the ball for fear of making a mistake and the defending well my boys under 15 side are more organised. That is partly our fault as at the moment the groans from the stands are making it very difficult for our players to express themselves. We all have our theories Morgan not spending, McCarthy not having a clue the two favourites but we have no control over those matters. What we can do is make some bloody noise our performance is not up to scratch we have been poor all season, last season talk sport took a decibel meter to all grounds and we were second bottom only above Wigan. So going forward let's try and be a twelfth man and do our bit you never know miracles could happen.

Both wigan and wolves were at the wrong end of the table, and struggling to put anything together, its very hard to cheer and encourage when all you see is negative, pathetic clueless football orchestrated by a complete fool, please feel free to stand and cheer but please excuse the looks and men in white coats collecting you from the stand.

When you look at our goal dif and you see about 4-5 teams with worse goal dif you have to think we have been slightly unlucky
