To the guy who said we should sell Hunt, set your mind back about a month ago if it was not for him we would be down now Remember the goal he curled past Robo against Blackburn on survival sunday? Sublime effort When he came back into the team last season we started to win again Technically gifted, Bags of experience and an unrivalled enthusiasm on the pitch. maybe the best all round midfielder at the club and you want to sell god no I would make him captain next season As for Jarvis we have seen this lad develop from a young player with potential to a full blown England international he is an awesome player now no wonder other teams want him id love to see him wearing gold and black again next season However if a bid of 20 million came in we could not refuse it we are not in a position to Although I doubt villa will offer that sort of money and i think liverpool will want to see him establish himself a little more before they bid so maybe if he has a good start to the season maybe gets another cap then they might come in for him to so it maybe inevitable him leaving in the long run. If this happens we will just have to re-invest strengthen key areas and find the next Jarvis (we may already have him as Hammill looks a real decent prospect) UTW
---------------------------------------------------
we stayed up on points not because of a goal. Hunt brings energy and passion to win. If we could get some of the other players to show his determination it would be a great benefit for wolves. With Jarvis he made a great impact but seems to of been found out, will be interesting to see if he develops his game come the new season to offer variety. Totally agree about Hammill the times he managed to get on the pitch showed glimpses of ability just needs to get up to prem fitness which with a full pre season with Tony Dailey (who I feel has worked wonders with the levels of fitness the players have shown) his delivery is the sort that fletcher will thrive upon drilled in at a good height. Feel we should look at bassoung and evans as our first choice targets for the centre half role.

Yes we stayed up on points but if it was not for Hunt's goal Blues would not have pushed up in search of their own goal and probably would not have left themselves exposed at the back meaning they may never of conceded and we would of been the ones in the fizzy pop league So if you look at the bigger picture the goal defiantly kept us up don't forget that I don't think Jarvis was found out last season just lost a little bit of form which was not helped by being marked by three players at some points i witnessed last season he will come good again i'm sure even the best players drop form look at Rooney & Torres. I don't think we should sign Evans I'd Take Bassong though and either Mills or Bougherra.

We can all say what if.what if hunt didn't score. what if brum didn't push for a second goal.what if stearmans goal against spurs was not dis-aloud. would we still be in the prem maybe/ maybe not.but that's not the argument. the argument is as "bobbybuffon" likes to say is that hunt is better than jarvis which he clearly is not.jarvis is by far the better of the two.

Totally differnt style of players, so silly comparison saying who's better.

The original post was not saying who was better there were two separate comments about the players 1st was defending hunt because some fool said we should sell and the second about the chances of holding onto Jarvis

"The rumour mill is really starting now isnt it. I have one or two genuine contacts inside the club, and to be fair they all stick to club policy and don't say a word. But i can pass on the following as genuine. " - If they are so tight lipped and do not say a word how come they told you ? bit of a contradiction don't you think?

I jUst like the fact he condensed everything form the express and star over the last couple of weeks into 1 or 2 paragraphs Very good

Robbie Keane is off to Blackburn Rovers , besides this we do not really need him.We all know a LB & a CB are a priority. After that perhaps another MF player. It is also Wolves transfer policy is buy younger players with Keane now being 30 that goes against the policy. My personal preferences would be CB- Bassong/ Upson/ Johnson/ Mills (all in that order).Bertrand in the LB , another one that has me confused is Tom Huddlestone , I really can't see him coming to Wolves yeah he had a good loan spell a few seasons ago but we could not afford him.

Gibo, notice you post here alot with very little to go on other than speculation, what makes you think he's off to blackburn ? ive been told on good authority Keane will be here on loan done deal already, but waiting to announce it later rather than sooner as we might be selling doyle soon.....

Ed, yout thoughts on this please :) {Ed001's Note - I am not sure what is happening with Robbie Keane, all anyone I know wants to talk about is his personal life, though of course I can't say anything on here about that for legal reasons. I don't think there is a chance in hell of Huddlestone going on loan, mostly because he thinks he is good enough to play for the first team and would most likely want a permanent move if anything. Bassong is a very real target though and you really don't want Upson, he is terrible.}

All the transfers are mere speculation , regarding Robbie Keane he had the opportunity to come in the January transfer window but instead he opted to sign on loan with a view to a permanent deal if WHFC stayed up , he obviously viewed WHFc as a better option than Wolves and if my memory serves Wolves were willing to smash the wage cap to sign him. This is what leads me to believe he won't be coming.
Gibo.

Also it would me very wrong to sell Doyle , Steve Morgan has publicly stated Wolves are offering Doyle a bumper contract.
Gibo.

Robbie came out and said that no approach was made by wolves, just rumours stirred up by fans , and then the fans got annoyed as he wasnt coming when wolves didnt even make an approach in the first place Id guess the same situation here... Blackburn sound like they have made a real offer

Gibo is right. Robbie Keane is off to Blackburn, it is on BBC Ceefax citing The Metro. Wolves fans need to shut up about Robbie Keane , he goes where the money is which explains why he has won virtually nothing in his career.

I genuinely believe we do not need Robbie Keane on our team.
Gibo.

Why would we want keane..Spurs can't wait to get rid of him. He would never get a game before Fletch, Ebanks, and Doyle. Mick doesn't want him has we would of approached Spurs in January if we did STFU about him Wolves fans. We don't need him here - his Wolves glory days are over MDW
