Out of the 6 Portuguese players linked I'd only like 1. Pele, looks a well built though tackling player, but can he create? Helder Costa is isn't much better than RVLP Silvio is very injury prone and we don't need a right back. Ivan cavaleiro is the best of them all can't see he'd sign, Ola John is inconsistent, Talisca is going to Liverpool.

I'd rather us sign Alex Pritchard, Adam Armstrong Shane Duffy, a creative CM a Left back and striker.

26 Jul 2016 21:00:27
It looks like the squad is so thread bare that KJ has had to field mainly kids tonight, who is going to be on the pitch come the weekend? The under 11s!

26 Jul 2016 20:21:18
It's a strange old game benitez has gone from toni Kroos to connor coady lmao.

26 Jul 2016 20:54:54
We should defo make Harry Beautyman our first signing. Proven goalscorer.

26 Jul 2016 21:24:37
Yea but he's doing a great job of building a side capable of destroying the Championship.

27 Jul 2016 09:12:07
Newcastle + Proven European Manager = success, or should do.
Wolves + Proven European Manager =? maybe we'll never know.

26 Jul 2016 19:53:01
Players to keep . Ikeme dicko graham iorfa hause Doherty jed Wallace zyro and maybe Saville. The rest are league 1 players fact.

26 Jul 2016 20:17:58
I've heard we're in for Harold Beautyman of Northampton.

26 Jul 2016 19:29:51
Just wondered if Sunderland would let Defoe go he will score the goals we need to get out of this division.

26 Jul 2016 21:25:05
He'll score a lot of goals for a Premiership team too. like Sunderland.

26 Jul 2016 19:24:30
Anybody else getting a little worried. even if we did sign a whole team of quality players then they've got to have a plan of how to play together. this takes time and oh by the way it'll b jacket doing this but even more worrying is that despite all these names bandied about we haven't actually signed anyone yet.

26 Jul 2016 21:26:15
I'd rather risk gelling a new team together than have Saville on the left and Mason on his own up front.

26 Jul 2016 19:09:17
I see our new owner is getting into the swing of things Tim spiers said mr shi is singing we are wolves as he arrived at Northampton fwaw.

26 Jul 2016 19:07:40
Who would you bring back? Sako, Kightly, Jarvis, Fletcher.

OK they all ditched us for bigger and better things, but I'd tale all 4 compared to what we have available right now.

Where Ebanks-Blake when you need him!

26 Jul 2016 19:21:11
Look in the nearest cake shop if you're searching for SEB.

26 Jul 2016 21:06:39
Only sako, he left to presue his dream not only for money. He also loved us all and thanked us, I'd have him back in a heartbeat.

26 Jul 2016 18:53:35
Couple of players I would like to see at Wolves.
Bentner currently unattached
Augustenssen Left Back or midfield currently at Copenhagen only 22 Swedish Intenational.

26 Jul 2016 18:30:43
Lots of rumours about outs and ins. The outs presumably will generate extra cash to be reinvested in new blood. The concern that I would have is that if, as rumoured, all this new blood is from Portugal will they have the physical presence and toughness to be effective in the Championship?
If KJ is on trial and given players by Mendes it may be that we can't expect a miraculous rise this season.

Perhaps rather sustain our Championship position before a major assault on promotion next season when everyone has done some learning and any turnover of managerial staff has been concluded. Perhaps fans need to be patient and enjoy the ride and development, not something they seem particularly adept at, however it is the long term and sustainability that is important. So don't shoot the new owners if it doesn't all happen at once.

26 Jul 2016 21:56:07
Spot on mate wolabby u no what some fans r like expect miracles.

26 Jul 2016 18:28:24
Some of you want Sako back but what are your thoughts on getting Jarvis back?

26 Jul 2016 18:44:06
I believe Jarvis picked up an injury and is out for a few months.

26 Jul 2016 18:14:33
Raphael Van Der Vaart set to be Wolves first signing. The owner wants his first to be a statement of intent and although others are close to being confirmed they have reiterated that their first signing is set to be a marquee. Van Fer Vaart is beyond any names mentioned as of yet so all seems to be pointing towards a deal.

26 Jul 2016 16:29:12
This time yesterday I was ever hopefull that we'd be giving some newbies a run out tonight. O well roll on rotherham.

26 Jul 2016 15:47:45
Taarabat.

26 Jul 2016 15:51:37
Is he that loafer who used to play for QPR?

26 Jul 2016 16:25:49
Decent player but had his troubles Jim.

26 Jul 2016 17:10:17
Too much of a liability, he believes he is better than what he is and no team player, hence we have not heard snout him largely.

26 Jul 2016 17:47:34
Benfica b player looking to loan possibly buy.

26 Jul 2016 12:18:00
What a press conference and solid perormance by Mr Shi, but not being too optimistic, let's see where the team is strengthend quickly, we need to hit the ground if not running then a strong jog, at present we all know we are weak, so do the rest of the league, let's make a statemeent by making some quick quality signings before if necessary some marque signings before the end of August, come on wolves action not words is needed urgently.

26 Jul 2016 14:03:47
Quick and quality rarely come in the same sentence when transfers are involved, they're either one or the other. Fosun are an investment company and I'm sure that is what what will do, invest. They said they will invest wisely, with money no object, wisely refers to getting the correct players rather than 'Who's cheap and will play for pennies' which for too long under Moxey (thank god he's gone) has been the norm at the Mol. I do agree the sooner the better but sure its all underway and we won't have to wait long for the announcements we all want to hear.

26 Jul 2016 15:44:50
Perhaps I should have put quality first I agree we do not need to sign players who will not be an improvement, my point being we need to improve the standard and depth of he squad sooner rather than later.

26 Jul 2016 12:11:45

26 Jul 2016 12:06:19
Peter crouch and Alex Pritchard to join Wolves?

26 Jul 2016 13:04:46
Wouldn't take crouch if it meant robben n ribery joined him in front three!

26 Jul 2016 12:03:46
4 players arriving at Manchester airport today. remember who told you ;)

26 Jul 2016 12:40:05
Who are they any idea.

26 Jul 2016 12:56:47
Not a clue. all I know is 4 players are due to be collected at Manchester airport.

26 Jul 2016 14:10:52
Plane from Barcelona.
Just made that up.

26 Jul 2016 15:01:15
Bale, Ronaldo, Suarez and Neymar all on their way to Wolves, shopping trip to ASDA.

26 Jul 2016 10:57:58
We don't want huge money signings Yet at least. They will screw us on the ffp. And the championship is completely different football to what they're used to. We need proven championship players then splash out when promoted.

26 Jul 2016 11:57:03
I still don't think we need too many acquisitions before the season starts - in fairness to Kenny, he's gotten an awful lot out of guys like Saville, Doherty, Evans and Coady. We undeniably need another striker - I know I've bandied his name around for nearly 4 years now but Nahki Wells would be the ideal signing. Alternatively, Britt Assombalonga would be an immense signing - if for nothing else but the inevitable jersey sales!

For more experience, David Weather is a free agent; an absolute bargain! Meanwhile, Leon Britton might be a good shout. He shouldn't cost any more than the money recouped from the sale of McDonald.

26 Jul 2016 17:13:54
I am forever grateful to the eternal God's that you are NOT our football manager.

We need nearly 11 new "acquisitions". Wheater is absolutely no better than what we have.

Don't worry about only spending what we recoup from sales - that's so 2015/ 2016.

26 Jul 2016 10:54:02
What has jackett done wrong won league 1 finished 7th and 14th last season working with scraps I'd rather him stay he knows the project the fans and current players . when we get promoted to the premier it will be intresting to see the negatives that people will still pick out

26 Jul 2016 14:13:27
It's true that the best players have gone elsewhere, and we haven't replaced our own leavers with enough quality. But if that's going to continue, is Jackett still the best manager?

26 Jul 2016 15:34:31
Wednesfield. You or I could have got us out of the 1st division with the player he had that season. The next season he blew it by changing the team each week around the Christmas period loosing 5 games on the bounce with a shocking goal, against record. Last year despite the excuses of injury etc it was bloody awful mate. I am not confident he has the know all to take us any further dispite the money we have now. Him staying is purely a tactic by the new owner to steady the ship. 10 games in we will be looking at a new Manager.

26 Jul 2016 08:39:47
If we get these these players from benfica the 4 they keep mentioning it would say there will be a new manager coming but don't no when.

26 Jul 2016 11:15:23
Agree. The initial idea was the change manager we all know what happened next. Makes sence to keep KJ short term but these guys want action this year, I give Jacket 10 games max that will be time enough to sort an alternative replacement if things are not happening.

26 Jul 2016 08:15:03
While KJ is a nice bloke most of us agree that he lacks tactical ability often changing when too late, playing one up front at home and playing players in roles they are not accustomed to
I was back in the UK last season and watched a couple of games and was very frustrated with what I as watching and his inability to change it
The better managers anticipate hat is required before the fans recognise and are prpared to gamble with ideas and formations
I would like to suggest while he is a good man manager the success he did achieve was down to the players and not much to do with his coaching or tactics
He was fortunate to have Sako and Dicko, and then Afobe
I wish him al the bets for the upcoming games but feel we need a better quality manager/ coach to get Wolves back to the top flight and wonder how patient the new owners will be once they observe his performance and our subsequent results
I hope we get some player as in soon because a number of our current squad are either too inexperienced or capable of competing with the stronger teams in the cHampionship.

26 Jul 2016 08:36:30
Totally disagree, he picked up 181 points in his first 2 seasons with u, then had all his best players sold or injured last season. Did well to get us mid-table last season with the team we ended up with.
Give him some cash, see what he can do by Xmas, then make decision on him. Can only rate him once he's had some cash to spend?, he was just firefighting last season. Thought we played decent football in league 1, I think he can do it again with the right players for this league.

26 Jul 2016 10:07:04
Well said olivergoldblack. Good to know that someone has a memory span of longer than one season.

26 Jul 2016 11:20:50
With the team he had to get us out of D1 the worst manager in the world would have achieved the same. He blew in the next season by being negative with his tacktics around the Christmas period 5 losses on the bounce. Last year was a complete disaster some due to injury but mainly due to inept tactical awareness. Nice bloke I am sure but being nice wins nothing.

26 Jul 2016 17:55:48
Fosun, Mendes and JACKETT, which ones the odd one out? JACKETT! The other two are successful at what they do!
