Mason is a pretty average striker, even at Championship level. £3m is far above his worth. Also YamYamRob, with the embargo placed on Cardiff, they'd probably demand closer to £5m considering they can't replace him should he leave. At least Wood guarantees 15 goals at this level if given consistent game time.

For me still, Nahki Wells is the outstanding option. That deal doesn't seem to have materialised however. Honestly don't see anybody coming in before the deadline. We will however bring in a loan signing in February I would imagine. That or Sigurdarson and Aaron Collins are given a chance in the team alongside ALF. Imagine that; Sako-Dicko-Afobe to Sigurdarson-Collins-Le Fondre in the space of 12 months. Dear God!

Looks like the future has arrived quicker than anybody thought. With Edwards and Zyro now joining the ranks of the unplayable, perhaps it is time to put 'some of the future' on the pitch.

Hope Dave Edwards and Zyro make a full and speedy recovery - missing you already! 😩.

If u read early posts you'll see he is supposedly going to start again, put in more investment get rid of Moxey and bring his own bloke in? So I ask again to people in the know when is he takin us off the market officially?

Paul don't get dragged along by this. If he had decided to take us off the market there would be a formal announcement and no person on here would know about it in advance. Same as buyers, you would have to be half brain dead to release details of a potential bid and that's making the bid or receiving it. The people playing in these numbers may be many things but they are not stupid. Don't forget Moxey will be fighting like a cornered polecat to keep his job as he knows he will never earn these figures again. This reminds me of Bates selling Leeds he kept up a smokescreen of making out he was selling but actually doing deals with mates. I don't think Morgan will deal like that and I do hope that he can build a consortium with more money invested and take some of the financial strain of him. He clearly doesn't have the stomach for the investment needed. Clearly he had a plan to grow our own and preserve our future but he has run scared of building the first team while we wait for the youngsters. M+M thought we would bounce back from relegation so we didn't need to replace McCarthy with a named manager, they thought we had time and losing premiership status was no big deal, even though it had taken us 40 years to have consecutive top tier seasons. Now they think we have time again to wait for youngsters.

You think they were that naive most teams don't bounce back. The academy business model is a good one although not sure why more players aren't making the first team.

So Edwards has broken his foot and basically out for the season and Zyro out for around 6 weeks with a calf injury. Can this season get any worse? Unlikely we will get any signings so we'll just plod on till the end of the season with what we've got. We ain't going up or going down so maybe now is the time to throw the kids in. Give Enobakhare a run up front with Alf whose experience will help him and before anyone says Alf is useless it's not his fault we keep lumping high balls up to him and give him no support. The guy isn't going to win headers against 6ft plus defenders due to his size but that doesn't make him a bad player so play to his strengths. Also how about giving Connor Ronan a run as he was close to the first team pre season. Lastly isn't it funny how so many say they have concrete info about ownership etc but yet all the different info contradicts each other so obviously most of it if not all is just plain bull!

ALF wouldn't be a good player even if Ranaldo was playing along side him. If you'd bothered to watch any of the under21/ youth games you'd know that none of these so called thelwells one for the future are ready to step up yet. Unfortunately we don't have any Robbie Kean's waiting for a chance.

what is the point of playing a 5'8" striker as a lone striker and just lumping long balls up to him it is absolutely absurd tactics!
Le Fondre's strengths are goal poaching not acting as a 6 feet plus hold the ball up striker, surely you can see the problem?
There again if you could you wouldn't have written your blurb I suppose.
