Lads, the most important thing is to not buy and 32 year old has-bins. If we look to the lower French and Spanish leagues then we will find our quality, warm it up with some low league football and have them ready for the championship. The minute we buy like a league 1 team that's the minute were doomed to stay in this league. It is also vital we push our youngsters, who we've heard so much about, through. let's see what they're really like. Ohara and Johnson out, make some cash, buy these players and command the league. It's about time as struck fear into the defence with some skilled running players. Stan

What's happening to Man U management team who moyes is clearing out? Interesting.

We cannot rule out an ex ManU, Everyton or ManCity back-roomer. However my guess is that we'll appoint an experienced manager.

Rumour has it Ron Manager has been interviewed for the post - Marvellous ;-)

Moxey and Morgan
We have to appoint a coach with experience. I agree with other fans that Coyle should be man to do this duty. We cannot appoint a manager and then sack him in 4 months cause their is no stability. No Davis No Southgate No McClaren No Jackett OWEN COYLE Yes

No. Don't let one season blind you. Relegated Bolton and were still falling when he left. Freedman has achieved much more with the same players. Check the optima stats Coyle plays long ball with focus on set pieces. Ask the bolton fans.

Hi Wolves fans, leeds fan here.

Seen we've been linked to Doyle and Hunt, what you make of these two?

Doyle has been turned into a bad player by mad mick and hunt is a good player when he's told not to run around like a headless chicken

Yeah used to like Doyle but seems to off come of the boil a bit now and will be on big wages so can't see him coming here anyway. Can see Hunt signing though

Doyle was the best player I had seen down here when he came but that was then and this is now and he's shot!

Doyle is a cracking footballer, great with his back to goal holding the ball up. As you can tell by his record he's not been prolific in front of goal. He played his best as a loan striker plenty of work rate, unfortunately we couldn’t really find someone to play alongside him.
Hunt was great the first season but has been plagued by injuries since, with a full pre-season training who knows.

Part of me will be really sad to see Doyler leave. His workrate is second to none-he's definitively not for want of trying. But he needs decent supply, someone to play alongside, and also to be on form.

I hope if you take him on, he gets his form back. He could do well for you.

Cheers Doyler and good lucks

Doyle was by far our best player when he joined. Added that freshness and deftness that we'd been missing.

Last season, though, it was like ne'd lost his magic touch. If he can find it again, I'd say he could be Premier quality once more. Can't see him playing in L1.

Hunt is now free agent. Not as neat as Doyle but adds some extra energy to the team, usually from the bench. He was injured much of last season but made an impact when he came back a few games before the end.

If you want Ward as well you can bag three full Irish caps in one move! Ward is a stunningly good player and you should sign him for as much money as you can afford.

Interesting to read Dario Gradi dismissing reports of a return to Crewe, championing two of his youth managers and only then saying that to his knowledge there's been no approach yet for Davis. He knows the pull of the Wolves job is too much for him to turn us down. So get him - pay a little compensation rather than waiting till the 1 July when I understand his Crewe deal is up for renewal, make the man feel wanted. The guy ticks the boxes worked with a youth focused senior previously, wants to develop the youth, looking for athletes (sorry JOH), has pushed on in the past two years a club who had realistic threat of relegation to the conference only 2 and a bit years ago, to a promotion and the JP Trophy. If you hadnt guessed I am Steve Davis all the way.

Despite Owen Coyle dropping from 20/1 to 5/2 he is not in the running for the job. Odds have dropped due to people listening to hearsay and placing bets. Until an announcement has been made no-one has the job whatever some might say

Is anyone else getting extremely annoyed at the lack of activity in terms of the Wolves job?

I understand they are trying to portray a controlled and thoughtful process where every eventuality has been thought of.

But, for me, its turning into a indecisive and embarassing process. The people in charge seem to be petrified of making the wrong decision again. I know us Wolves fans aren't the easiest people to please but we need a strong decision to made and we need it soon.

Marry in haste; repent at leisure. This is an incredibly important decision and I for one am very happy indeed to see that the club seems to be taking their time to make (hopefully) the right appointment. COYW! (Doncaster Wolf)

Relax. Thelwell was doing the first trawl; Thelwell and Moxey doing second interviews. Morgan et al doing the final interviews. Second interviews finished this week - final interviews next week. I'd rather they got it right (for once) and there's no pressure to make an urgent appointment (everyone's off on holiday so no chance of bringing in new players).

Wolves haven't even approached Crewe for permission to discuss the possibility with him. Just so everyone knows in case anyone wants to start any more "Steve Davis is having an interview" rumours.

For me (not a rumour just an opinion) if it's not going to be Steve Davis, it should be Owen Coyle if he's interested enough to take the job. Regardless of how many backroom staff he wants to change. A refresh from top to bottom would probably be good as everyone has got too comfortable. He may have been installed as bookies favourite however we've seen in the past that it means nothing.

To be honest I'd be more than happy with any of Owen Coyle, Gus Poyet or Steve Davis. Not so keen on Steve McClaren for obvious reasons. although League 1 could be his level in English Football.

i believe we have a wage structure of 6 million next season so roger j and k doyle, foley ward ohara k henry will have to be moved on or pay them off so then the dross is gone, we must be odds on to go straight back up all we need is the right manager we all have our opinions mine is coyle in div1 we could have a winning mentality and then onwards and upwards
