Reality check jackett going nowhere I sorry to say.

24 Jul 2016 22:31:09
I find it very strange that some are saying we need a manager who knows this league and then suggest Ryan Giggs as manager whilst berating Steve Bruce who has won promotion from this league on 3 occasions.

24 Jul 2016 23:42:48
Steve Bruce should get the job, been there and done it.

24 Jul 2016 21:53:50
Surely if we were going to have someone of the quality of what has turned out being the new Spain manager! the new owners who have invested to make money and raise their profile will have a proper plan B.

24 Jul 2016 22:22:48
When he changed his mind within a day of the takeover, they probably didn't have a plan B. Why don't we all have good nights sleep, forget about the what if, and wait for 12.00pm tomorrow. You can all have a bloody big moan then. This site will probably crash.

24 Jul 2016 22:31:24
With the equivalent abilities and quality?

25 Jul 2016 06:47:54
When you're in big business as they are you always have to have a plan B.

24 Jul 2016 21:41:51
Have any of the negative posters on here spoken to Fosun group, taken part in the takeover discussions or been told of the long term plans? I didn't think so. Can we stop all the negativity until the new owners tell us their plans.

24 Jul 2016 22:33:42
Nice one Jas welcome to a typical wolves forum.

24 Jul 2016 21:16:47
You don't pay 40 odd million quid for a football club and "stay with what you have"!
You don't run a company that turns over 25 million pounds a day and go "gently gently"!

Big things will happen! I'm sure of it. not ITK as none of you are. I do actually know someone who might get some information and whenever I ask him he says "no one knows anything"! And he works at the training ground! So unless you know one of the Chinese guys. you don't know! Because they haven't spoke to anyone at the club yet!
My guess is European manager with a decent profile.
They wouldn't have been going for the Spanish guy and not have a plan B. And those plan B won't be Steve Bruce. thier business model was European.
Sit back and enjoy, stop your moaning already!

24 Jul 2016 18:48:38
Reading fans speak highly of tht ola John could be a good signing.

24 Jul 2016 18:28:28
Don't want Martinez, Bruce or any other useless loses from the football league.

24 Jul 2016 19:22:44
So you want a top manager who probably won't know the Championship then?
Bruce will get us up then once in prem we can start looking at top managers.

24 Jul 2016 17:26:00
If we sign Rhodes ings and sako were up!

24 Jul 2016 18:09:26
L M F A O!

24 Jul 2016 18:32:30
You have been on the Bank's bitter! Rofl.

24 Jul 2016 18:53:14
Oh sorry if we sign Messi ronaldo and bale were up. forgot that now we're billionaires some fans never happy. what's wrong with players above proven goal machines in the championship.

24 Jul 2016 21:00:03
Nothing wrong mate I assume you are working on the theory of if they score we will always score more! 🙌.

24 Jul 2016 16:50:39
What a load of speculative rubbish is being spouted on this site. I'll wait for the press conference on Monday before I believe anything. The only thing I would say is that it takes a different type of player to get a team out of the Championship than will keep it in the Premier League which is something that Wolves failed to recognise to their cost in the past. Don't expect the high priced, world class signings yet, if they do arrive then be worried.

24 Jul 2016 17:30:41
If Wolves offer JACKETT a contract I def won't come on here again till he's gone. Be a complete and utter joke! Stu, Realist and some others been good havin the banter but won't bother till he's gone.

24 Jul 2016 18:04:34
Paul.

I would seriously consider my away attendance should that happen. Yesterday was unbelievable and we've seen some strange mamagerial decisions in the last 12 Months.
Roll on 12 pm tomorrow, I personslly hope for good news, be sad to lose your contribution.

24 Jul 2016 18:05:48
Mamagerial decisions, "tits up"

24 Jul 2016 18:08:13
I'd be pretty much happy with anybody other than Steve Bruce!

24 Jul 2016 18:13:21
Thanks Stu, but if he stays I won't be arsed to come on here. A massive takeover diluted 100%.

24 Jul 2016 18:25:02
We will still go games but imo people with this kind of money still keep JACKETT? Def no ambition! Surely won't happen?

24 Jul 2016 16:41:10
Redraw only build houses you muppet. Mighthave been believable till you finished the sentence off with that bllox. They prob will finish the stadium anyway but don't say stuff that's clearly lies.

24 Jul 2016 17:49:47
So you call someone a muppet for posting a rumour on a rumour site? Looked in the mirror lately?

24 Jul 2016 16:27:11
After ongoing talks today it is looking more likely they are going to Stick with Jackett as they had no back up plan and have been impressed with his vision for the club. Not what I want but seems that is how it could end up!

24 Jul 2016 18:08:35
In fairness to KJ, he's never really been given decent money, and he sounded out afobe and zyro, so with funds might have better targets in mind.

24 Jul 2016 19:01:29
Jackett has had one poor season mainly because he lost Sako and Dicko and was given peanuts to buy cheaply, hoping they would turn out to be hidden gems. Mostly they didn't. I'm not saying he will take us to the upper reaches of the Premier League but he deserves a chance to at least get us there, with money to spend. Let's wait to see what comes out of the news conference tomorrow.

24 Jul 2016 16:07:32
I think it's a good thing tht spanish chap didn't sign for us for simple fact he would bring all forgian players and thts not what we are about a couple wouldn't be to bad but 5 I would like Rhodes or mccormack.

24 Jul 2016 16:37:23
Neither Rhodes nor McCormack have proved themselves in the premier league, and neither are getting any younger (albeit Rhodes is only 26). Despite what I've just said, they would still cost roughly £10-15m which is a massive amount of money for a single championship signing.

24 Jul 2016 15:42:47
So we know the press conference is being held tomorrow.

Having spent the last 36ish hours with a well respected sports journalist in the local area (confidential! ), I've witness first hand a few concrete transfer targets Steve Bruce has demanded IF successful in his application for the not yet vacant managerial role all getting a bit confusing I know. His first target is what some may say an obvious, but it's fact, he will look to bring either Son, Alex Bruce or Michael Dawson as our defensive leader and captain. As stated earlier Bacary Sako is been very heavily linked at Moleniux and has been spotted in the West Midlands this weekend. Free agent Steven Taylor is also an experienced defender being linked.
Midfield is probably the only area in which we could cope barely with, but Charlie Adam and Tom Huddles tone are two names I've heard as much as any today, more the latter.
Probably the strongest rumour I've heard this evening will spark a sense of excitement among many of you, although I don't see Steve Bruce signing the player it will be the club's apparent super agent Jorge Mendes involvement that will secure the deal and it is the highly rated Brazilian forward Talisca, now the takeover is complete, it has been done so before Liverpool snatched him from Wolves. The deal is expected to be for an initial £18,000,000 but with contracted bonuses and appearances, the fee is expected to eventually meet the €48,000,000 buyout clause.

It really is exciting times for the Wolves faithful. If only we could of had this complete several weeks ago, we would of been a real force to be reckoned with in the market.

My friend will be at the press conference tomorrow and will update if any more hard evidence pops up on behalf of my journo buddy.

Till then. Keep your eyes peeled.

24 Jul 2016 15:51:31
All very interesting Tipton, do you know anything about the management situation? Poss Silva?

24 Jul 2016 15:59:33
If I was a gambling man my money would go on Bruce. Took too many risks with foreign managers over the past few seasons. The club are looking for stability and promotion and that is exactly what Steve Bruce is renowned for. Also he has just left Hull as we get taken over, work tirelessly to get Hull to premier league only to quit weeks before kick off tells me he's got a very good proposition, and there aren't many better vacancies than the one that will possibly arise in the coming days. So drop a cheeky fiver on Bruce rather than anyone else.

24 Jul 2016 16:15:29
Very good point, I believe he would get us up within 2 years,

24 Jul 2016 16:22:17
Talisca would be a dream signing but I can't see a player of that calibre playing in the championship, I hope I'm wrong though.

24 Jul 2016 16:26:11
Wht do you believed is being announced at the press conference.

24 Jul 2016 16:30:45
So Bruce want to bring in old and over the hill players Tipton I think any number ofmus would have picked out those names without an ITK local journalist tipping you off. As for Talisca Mendes was trying to complete he move to Liverpool last week so I think you have been fed a load of tripe mate. PS Bruce has taken his family away to the States on vacation so don't think it will be Bruce at all.

24 Jul 2016 16:42:09
I'm pretty sure you've just guessed all of that/ made it up. Steven Taylor is on the brink of signing for a team in America so unlikely that he'll sign and the rest are just hull players that you obviously would like to see at Wolves, the reality is they're in the Prem we're not, why would they join us? Also we've only had one foreign manager so not sure what you're on about with "too many risks" and Bruce left hull because of a lack of transfer activity.

24 Jul 2016 17:11:51
There is always an argument for and against with any rumour. Hence why they are rumours not actual deals. Iv not saw you state any actual rumours your just a gossip seeker. Just sit back and take my information in you plant :)

24 Jul 2016 18:38:28
Tipton what are you on mate you don't half talk some BOLLOCKS!
LMFAO at your posts.

24 Jul 2016 14:27:15
Sooner all this gets sorted the better as I'm sure my wife will be divorcing me soon!

24 Jul 2016 14:48:08
#wolveswidow.

24 Jul 2016 13:29:30
I can't see how we will go from nearly landing lopetegui to now be looking at Bruce and Martinez. I don't think we will keep jacket either. I'm sure they have something and someone up their sleeves, I believe it will be an overseas manager. Either way players are needed fast. sure mendes is taking care of this.

24 Jul 2016 14:33:06
Perhaps all was in place with proposed coach but that has all changed now. Things take time, not days.

24 Jul 2016 14:50:11
How sure can people be regarding Mendes still being involved with wwfc, wasnt he behind Robin Li and Lopetegui?

24 Jul 2016 15:29:00
Marco Silva according to Sportsmole site is favourite to take over at Wolves.

24 Jul 2016 13:27:26
Exactly what are fans expecting from the press conference tomorrow. I get the feeling people think they are going to turn up with a new manager/ coach and big signings. If so, get real. It's a press conference - Meet and greet. Jacket will stay until new manager found. I cannot see players in until manager in place, they are not going start the season manageress. Neither can I see all these top foreign coaches jumping at the chance to come to a Championship. They will be waiting in the wings for the right Premiership club to come along. The takeover has come to late to have an immediate impact on the pitch, realistically I would expect us to be challenging next season. This season will be work in progress. I hope I am wrong, but a lot of people seem to be stuck in fantasy land.

24 Jul 2016 13:56:36
I don't think any new manager or players will be announced tomorrow, I think the conference will tell us what Fosum plan for the future of Wolves and the development of the club.
New players will be announced I feel, but just not tomorrow.

24 Jul 2016 15:06:44
After all and only after all the important questions are asked tomorrow, I would like the press guys there to ask, "how many Money shop shirts have been sold so far and how many season tickets up to the 21st July were sold.

Just interested that's all.

24 Jul 2016 11:40:03
I've never posted on here before as there is so much speculation, Talks with Jackett are ongoing, expected that he will leave in very near future, Bruce is been lined up and initial contact has been made, 3 to 4 signings also in pipeline and expect then to go through when Jackett situation is sorted.

24 Jul 2016 13:47:02
Giggs is purely a big name and nothing else.

Would be great for the profile of the club at home and over seas but a big gamble in terms of wether or not he can actually do the job.

{Ed041's Note - I tjink Giggs would do well for you. He would install certain standards to keep up imo.

24 Jul 2016 14:41:48
Ed041 u referred to our club as 'you' does this mean your not wolves? No wonder there is so much nonsense on here u at probably a boggle from Sandwell.

{Ed041's Note - what? No I'm not a wolves fan. Editors edit many pages. I post what is written.

24 Jul 2016 14:48:05
This just nullifies the authenticity of the page, I didn't believe anything on here before but this has just compounded it.

{Ed001's Note - really? You are a bitter child, go away.}

24 Jul 2016 18:55:10
What the hell! Ed 001 you ain't a Wolves supporter yet you edit these pages lol any chance you can do one and get us a wolves supporting editor on here instead of one who is possibly
A, a Sandwell Town boggy boy,
B, A Villa Jambo or
C, A Brummy WERNIT!
Which is it?

24 Jul 2016 18:58:08
It states who on my profile, it doesn't take much to look. You need to grow up.

24 Jul 2016 19:06:53
O M G!
You're Morgan in disguise having a laugh at Wolves expense .
The Return Of The Scouse Scally or as Alf Used To Put It So Politely
Bloody Useless Scouse Git!

{Ed001's Note - yes because Steve Morgan spends his time on websites talking about Wolves....}

24 Jul 2016 19:18:16
lol yo ay half funny Ed mind yo the whole of scouseland is med up of bloody comedians ay it! never mind, the rumour going round is that Morgan is about to offer to buy anfield and turn it into a redrow housing estate and that dump across the park is going to be bought up by Tarmac to mek it the biggest car park in the north west lol.

{Ed001's Note - Morgan couldn't afford Anfield, that has been his issue with Wolves, he can't afford it. Football is a billionaire's game and he is a millionaire.}

24 Jul 2016 19:19:12
More importantly,
WE AM WOLVES AY WE!

24 Jul 2016 19:42:00
Yo've gorra loff ay ya thanks for the banter Ed001 lol.

{Ed001's Note - it turns out we had a lucky escape him not being able to afford us, as it is clear he doesn't know as much about running a football club as he thought.}

24 Jul 2016 19:51:11
lol bloody good job you never had the fat pie muncher as C E O lol.

{Ed001's Note - we did have a similar guy in Prick Parry running the club at one time.}

24 Jul 2016 20:12:38
yeh I remember that useless nerk lol, mind you I must say this,
Delia and Norwich beware Moxey's coming for ya and god help em because this time next year they'll be league 1 with our beloved Jezza in charge lol.

24 Jul 2016 11:18:02
Would anybody have Giggs in charge?

24 Jul 2016 11:39:28
no but wouldn't mind him as assistant manager.

24 Jul 2016 12:07:15
Yes, only realistic option for us at the moment that has the potential to step up to any level that we may reach. Yes he is a risk, due to his lack of experience, but there is a reason why he's rumoured with Prem clubs a lot, and was tipped by many man utd legends to be the next gaffer.

Plus, he can't just magic up son managerial experience, he's got to start somewhere and he's certainly learnt his trade from the best.

24 Jul 2016 13:17:17
2nd to sir Alex for couple seasons not going lean any better than from the best.

24 Jul 2016 14:53:54
I would take him as assistant manager/ coach with a proven No1.

24 Jul 2016 10:39:18
I would like us all to take a second to Thank and Remember all that Sir Jack Hayward did for Wolves and his legacy lives on! Without his dedication and commitment at Molineux, days like these would be all but a dream.

The Legend Lives On.

Sir Jack Hayward R. I. P!

24 Jul 2016 11:28:09
Well said.

24 Jul 2016 12:01:49
and dare I say if he had stuck to his promise when we got to the Prem .

24 Jul 2016 10:08:04
Former Olympiacos coach, Marco Silva was approached by Wolverhampton Wanderers, but was instantly rejected.

goo.gl/uCFebd

24 Jul 2016 10:19:27
Thanks for the link.

24 Jul 2016 09:02:21
I'd much rather keep Jackett than get Steve Bruce, I just can't see what Brucie will bring to the party that's that much different. The only way I'd be happy was if we got a perceived bigger name ie rijkaard or somebody who's managed at the top level champs league would be a real statement of intent. And I definitely don't want Martinez, my Everton mate hasn't got a good work to say about the bloke.

24 Jul 2016 10:05:03
To be fair Bruce brings 4 championship promotions, a cup final and a proven track record of signing good players. But hey, everyone is entitled to an opinion!

24 Jul 2016 10:09:27
I'd rather a bigger name but to say you'd rather JACKETT than Bruce? What planet u on? Bruce has been there and done it, JACKETT has never made top 6. If u went home and away last season u wouldn't contemplate JACKETT stayin! The only record he achieved was 7, 0-0 home games! Awesome.

24 Jul 2016 11:12:49
I don't feel Bruce would have achieved anything better with what we had than Jackett did last season. It's only my opinion but it's how I feel. Don't get me wrong if Bruce gets the job ill fully support him but he's not for me.

24 Jul 2016 11:52:55
I'm with Tammywolf on this if we are talking mega money, super agents and moving the club on to the next level we have to be looking way beyond the likes of Bruce. Surely with the connections now available to us we can scour the cream of the young international managers out there and come up with somebody who can grow with the club.

24 Jul 2016 09:02:13
Just read article on baidu and fosun both looking invest in india for future economic growth - although doesn't state they working together it does give impression they seem track each other's movements at moment so the link off robin li being part fosun buyout off wolves may not be as far fetched as we first thought and if u think about it if 2 parties share investment its half the financial risk to them so who knows maybe wolves now gone from huge financial backing to a real superforce - only failure sofar has bern not getting 1st choice manager but beleive thst wad more down to delay on Steve Morgan side than fosun.

24 Jul 2016 08:58:45
According to e and s Li definitely NOT involved an jackett WILL remain in charge!

24 Jul 2016 11:31:45
According to the E&S we were sold for £30 million, Kenny will keep his job even after 2 International managers claimed publicly theyhad been approached for his job and we were definitely not ready to announce a buyer 3 hours before BBC spilt the beans big style.
I stopped buying the E&S a couple of yours ago as they are living in a time warp.
Poor reporting at best, a second rate paper for Wolves fans.

24 Jul 2016 07:54:40
A question, Do people think JACKETT will be relieved of his duties before tomorrow's press conference? I do, as I can't see them unveiling a long term plan with a coach there who they've already tried to replace twice, that we know about.

24 Jul 2016 08:20:27
What Wolves need is a manager who has a proven record of promotion from the Championship and that's not Jacket. Try Bruce, Pearson, Martinez and dare I say, McCarthy. Following promotion a new man with proven top level management needs to take over, for example Pelligrini, De Boer, are currently available. I still like the possibility of Curbishly.

24 Jul 2016 09:17:52
If we domhave ambition then it Pelligrini or De Boer forget the rest. If we, do get one of these then we know for sure that more than 30m over 2 years will be made available as they would demand that as part of the deal.

24 Jul 2016 07:32:40
Gary Neville has been approached about becoming our next manager. Neville see's this as a perfect platform to resurrect his managerial career #ITK.

24 Jul 2016 07:48:49
If there is a God please don't let this happen, complete and utter muppet.

24 Jul 2016 08:09:09
We've got worse than a muppet in charge now!

24 Jul 2016 09:20:15
Cannot argue with that PT but Neville?! Rumour said he fell out with Mendes over the last job he had in Spain so I think that choice will not happen personally.

24 Jul 2016 07:19:29
Fosun's business model is to buy up businesses to diversify and rely on the operational management who know the business to take it forward. Their excellent plan of Mendes, Lopetugui and the players they had lined up has fallen on it's bum in spectacular fashion. Typical of M&M not to conclude the deal in time for us to get Lopetugui.
We will now see how quick on their feet they are in getting us up and running with plan B. Someone needs to lift the lads we have because from yesterday's match they seem demoralised and nowhere near ready to start the season.
Let's hope Mendes has something up his sleeve and the club on Monday announces a manager and players who can get the season started.
We need an injection of hope, enthusiasm and passion and Kenny, bless him, can't deliver this as M&M have ground him down like the rest of us.
This a step change for the club and upping the anti for a manager and chief exec is crucial for us to progress. Fosun know this and won't want to lose face by stumbling at the first hurdle.

24 Jul 2016 07:06:36
People have got it wrong what I was saying, this article from June 29 th says robin li was trying to buy 80% of ac milian with his consortium POSUM, balague interviewed julen who said robin li is the main man with the wolves takeover, so was the consortium that was after ac milian was it misheard or lost in translation and is pronounced FOSUN AND NOT POSUM, and they have bought wolves instead and robin li is still involved in wolves, which will be announced Monday?

24 Jul 2016 00:41:56
We need a highly rated and experienced manager who has not only played at the very top and won, but has also managed at the very top and knows how to win trophies as well. He needs to be highly motivated and has come through the best coaching academies in Europe. His name needs to be big enough so that players who would not normally give us a second thought will give us a chance. He needs to have a network across Europe to back up our scouting and bring in quality players now as well as the best youngsters in europe for tomorrow. He needs to want to prove himself in the Prem which will give him the extra drive to take us there and have a good command of our language and culture so it's not a big shock and he gets homesick after a month. Sounds like Frank De Boer to me.

24 Jul 2016 07:52:01
With you all the way on the De Boer appointment but don't think it will happen unfortunatly.

24 Jul 2016 08:47:11
Why don't we give sir alex a call and ask him manage us for min 2yrs and should we get promoted then gets chance carry on if wanted too or when in prem sign another top mansger -sir alex got soft spot for wolves and think players who want play for him.

24 Jul 2016 09:23:08
Sir Alex would not risk his reputation to take another club that is in a total transitional phase. Good shout though yamyamrob.

23 Jul 2016 22:06:04
robin li headed group to take over Milan, posum on june29th, could it have been misheard or lost in translation and he's actually headed girl the group at wolves called FOSUN sounds close and guillem balague said he was still involved today in an interview with julen lopotigui.
