chris powell wants the job give it to him now

Wondering why Powell would want to come to Wolves. Has he taken Charlton as far as he can?

20 May 2013 23:10:09
time we let this lad Leigh Griffiths go, said it a million times his heart is in it up there, plenty good players out there to replace him (although he never really got much of a chance in the first place)

have none of you guys wonderd why lgrififths hasn't featured for us as goals have been aprob, what are the clubs plans for him? 28 goals this season and one that was goal of the season dissallawed 6 free kicks and half from shots around the 18 yard mark, ps scored winner agnst celtic when they beat barcelona?

He wants to play in Scotland. Nothing more sinister than that.

If he does not want to play for wolves then I agree let him go, but make sure they get a good sell on clause, whoever buys him, because if he keeps scoring like he did last year for hibs, has much as he loves them, they will not be able to keep him, he will go to bigger club, that's were moxey comes in and gets the true value for him for our club, only way of making something out of it, because he has made it perfectly obvious he doesn't want to play for wolves, what do you think wolves fans. wolfy

Rumours are wolves recruitment process is quickly turning into another farce. The new manager will not get chance to assess the current squad as Morgan wants to trim it right down before anybody is appointed. This has put a lot of good coaches off applying for the position. The new manager will have no say in players in or out.

I remember when all we were left with was Jody Craddock to build a team round. We're all saying we need a clean slate so that's what the new coach will have. Hopefully, he will bring in his own players and build around the academy players and the good ones who are staying.

The only ones to leave will be the ones we all want to go ie KH etc. can't see much happening in the immediate future. See DS not back at Donny.

Rumours from where, in your head maybe?

No need to assess that team what just got we relegation, its obvious all the big earners have to go because we got relegated, with new coach we would still be unable to keep them and I for one will be glad when they are gone the likes of johnson, ohara, henry, foley and ward even edwards with all the injuries he has although would be alright in div. 1 if he didn't have so many injuries, and can score a few goals now and then

Posted on here a few months ago looks like I was spot on about Mad Mick and his Bullyboy antics, this man has left this Club in a real mess. Those fans on here that have defended him needed to look at the whole Club not just the First Team. I told you he is poison. P. J.

Dead right mate. It will take years to clear the club of his lousy influence.

Premier League poison or Championship winning poison? Remind me, please.

You mean that Kevin Threlfall article?

Kind of went like "Mick said we should sign someone so we agreed but it's not our fault it's his".

Can someone explain to Kevin what the word "director" means?

Yeah it is all Mccarthy's fault but that board should had the balls to confront him. Only the fans were asking questions and Mccarthy didn't like it by saying things like we don't know what we are on about.
Bloody fans should be on that board, real fans not Mccarthy's happy clappers. (brainless fans)
Not questioning decisions like giving 4/5 year contracts to inept players, I E. Henry or stearman.
The man was a thick bully who doesn't like being confronted with the truth so can't wait to hear his reply to Threfall's comments.

Get KH out

You have never dealt with a Bully then mate otherwise you would not have made that statement, Bully's are not that easy to ignore. Mad Mick is a past master of being a Bully. P. J.

I know the foreman who works for me wouldn't tell me what to do because I know the company would go bump if he did, even though he is built like brick S88thouse.
Mccarthy is a cowardly bully and the board need a kicking for being that weak.
Confused when you say never dealt with bullies in the get kh out comments

I still don't get it. Mick might have thrown his weight around, but he has absolutely no power over the board. The directors of the club are legally and actually responsible for everything that goes on. They could have fired Mick any time, as indeed they eventually did. But what they can't get away with saying is that it's not their fault that Mick's decisions were carried by the board.

It's easy to blame someone that is no longer at the club - but cowardly even from our board (or should that read 'bored?')

Is it me or has the recruitment process become another farce of Connor proportion.

Although rumours are just that, and speculation is rife with even the bookies struggling to back one person I feel the process has yet again become a joke.

I am worried that we could be facing a Curbishly situation again where a potential managers aspirations are greater than Wolves (for whatever reason) and preferred choices for managers i. e. Coyle, McClaren, Warnock say no leaving us with a runner up.

This would be best for Moxey as it is cheap in terms of salary and transfer targets, good for Thewell as it keeps him in work trying to find the next nugget and good for Morgan as the two munchkins thinks it's a good idea.

But would appointing a young, hungry manager with potential show ambition, or merely confirm as a club we are living on hope alone.

In comparison appointing someone with experience who has been there and done it show hunger to return to the top in the shortest time possible or an example of living on yesterday's reputation and wasting club money.

Jacket, everyone says he did well with a small budget at Milwall, but excuse me finishing 2 places higher than us I suggest is cr*p and is not what we require.

Ferguson, the only thing I would say is "sorry Deano, we made a mistake can you please stay

Davis, the best thing about Davis is at least he will save the club travel costs because he must love train spotting.

I realise that I will get slaughtered for my comments on names associated with the vacancy but in my defence I am hoping that this time the club shows ambition and is prepared to back the manager as they did MM, I am fed up with all the cr*p that the club have put out over the last few years yet expect us to dig deep and pay up, and if the new appointment is another Connor / Saunders type then I will have to treat the club the way I feel they treat me, DISTANT

Come on Morgan show us you have a pair and give us fans some hope and encouragement.

Finally, sack Moxey today

Farce is the name of our club thanks to morgan day he sells up will be a great day for the wolves its morgan that is the farce

Top post m8 why would we want jackett? and mclaren does a runner if things go wrong and warnock is a tw-t

Look at jaketts money spent compared to Saunders solbakkan or mick in champ who sum think was the best thing since sliced bread an ul c he did a great job at Millwall an he is respected in the football community i'd av him above the three mentioned above siewolf

Interesting post all the same. Of the "seen it, done it" brigade - Jackett, Powell, Coyle, ok even Warnock or McClaren - Jackett isn't a bad shout. FA Cup semi, pretty well mid-table for most of the campaign but yes a tail-off in performance in the latter half - difficult to know if the Cup run or injuries had a part to play. I remember looking at his team before we played them a couple of months ago and thinking that for the squad he had Millwall weren't doing at all badly. So yep, he's worth considering. Powell too.

Whoever gets it will have a job on hand and needs to be teak tough, a hard man essentially, to sort the playing side of the club and tough it out of L1. That probably rules out McClaren.

Coyle might be good too, at least the post-match interviews would be lively, and the football.

wolfshead.

So, if we appointed in the first week, everybody would be shouting that it was a knee-jerk reaction and we would regret the speed of the appointment. Now, they are taking their time and playing their cards close to their chests and that is not right either. I would far rather the bookies are confused - look what happened when the name Bruce was leaked. Hope it all stays under the radar and the time to question it is at the end of next season.

will we have a new manager, in place this week?

Be dr who at this rate

Probably not. The merry-go-round hasn't really started yet.

Although I see Dickov has gone to Doncaster.

It is heartening to see that the U21 Final is between Manchester United and Spurs both of whom our U21s beat in their Elite Group league matches in the past couple of months. Surely this must be a much needed glimmer of hope in the current situation. Barry
