Charlton interested in Berra. Not that he is on our books any more.
Who else is not on our books anymore. I have lost track of what´s what lol.
As far as I know, the loanees have all gone and Hunt, SEB and Berra have not had their contracts renewed (which would have been 1 July).
De Vries will be leaving but is probably still technically on our books.
Henry, Ward, Johnson and O'Hara all transfer listed.
Doyle and Sako not transfer listed but will probably attract offers anyway and will go.
Stearman's place is also uncertain. And Jonsson and Margreitter seem to have gone into radio blackout, so who knows? Doumbia and Boukari are probably looking at options too.
That's ten or more permanents going! Can't see us signing ten replacements, as the squad was too big anyway, but expect maybe 4 or 5.

Just seen Zavon Hines has been released by Bradford. We need wingers and he showed in the League Cup last year that he's a pretty decent player. Must be worth a punt and he's Moxey's favourite price!

For a player who could have been thought of as a captain and focal point for the team why did we not bid 1.5m for him or 2m it beggers belief for me? Hopefully next time we bid at least as high as we csn on major players
You do get that our bid was accepted why pay the club more we should of pushed boat out on wages and bonuses for the lad
He won't go to the highest bidder. The other clubs would offer similar amount. We offer 1 million and they just need to do the same to talk to the player. They don't need to offer more. Its not a question of the transfer fee.
That's right #3. The player has to agree personal terms which might be about money and it might be about standard. We might miatch the first but not the second (just yet).

If bringing new players in depends on moving players out first it begs an obvious question. What happens if we can't shift anybody out?
I think this is a likely outcome. Who would want players that were not good enough for even the Championship? We may end up paying up their contracts and giving them a free.

Baggies fan here. I saw Kevin Phillips on saturday at a football tournament my lad and his lad were both playing in.
I asked him if he had any desire to join you lot from Stafford and he answer was "Not A chance mate"
He would of been a quality signing for you guys in that lower League as well :-)
He must have thought you asked him how many goal scoring opportunities your son had created.

So we have missed out on Luke Murphy. He's having a medical and expecting to sign for Leeds later today. I'm gutted, he could easily have become our Gerrard. But let's not start blaming the board. I can see this happening already. He's gone to a Championship club that's not run by chicken farmers and not another L1 club.
Anyone know anything about Victor Wagner?
