I cant understand people/morons on here slating the transfers weve made over the last two seasons.
To be fair to mm he has made some great signings ie johnson ( if i remember correctly we were all raving about at the time)
O'hara, doyle, fletcher, and all these players costing over 5 million, which shows we have been willing to pay decent money for quality without doing a portsmouth.

The problem we have lies either with mm or tc... We are not tactically astute when compared to teams who havent spent the money we have, dont pay the wages we do, and dont have the fanbase we do ie norwich, swansea, wba.

Mm proved last night he has lost the plot... The formation, the substitutions, his press conference... Why he chooses to completely disregard the talented players with a bit of flare ( which we really lack ie guedioura hammill) and play 'safer' options like e. jonnson henry and hunt, bewilders me.

Thanks for everything mick but all good things come to an end, and your time is up

IMO MM is strying to get sacked but morgan would rather him walk. it all comes down to who is the most patient. but when you are running a pl club who are in the bottom 3 you cant be patient you need to do something morgan sack MM and bring a decent manager in we cant let our progress go down the drain by being relegated cuz we will lose our decent players just like birmingham have (fair play to them for being in a playoff position though) surley it makes more sence to sack him now and bring in a proven manager IMO benitez yes wages will be big but what will cost more re building a team or appointing a proven manager?

I'm as peed off as everyone....awful tactics...did you see MM shake TC's hand straight after the Liverpool loss??
I sometimes like to vent my opinions on the Express and Star stories...they would have to be the most 1 sided, ill informed paper who only employ people who can't spell.
Has anyone else local to Wolves noticed how selective they are in the "reply" section.
My season ticket went in the bin last night...it's not good for my health and the cat's sick and tired of being kicked!....by the way the cat's called Mick

You can all moan about Morgan and Moxey not spending money, but to be fair I think we've done some shrewd business in getting Bassong and Frimpong on loan and a SQUAD player in Jonnson. I say squad player, because that leads me onto my next point.

The main problem is... *drumroll* Mick McCarthy. He's lost the plot, has anyone seen his recent interviews?! What a pathetic excuse for someone who's paid thousands every week to run this club then fields a sub standard side playing boring, dull and clueless football because they have no idea what tactics MM (Moron Mick, not Merlin the Magician anymore) wants them to play. Honest question now, who plays 4-5-1 at home?! Regardless of whether we were playing Liverpool, who's last league game befiore playing us was a 3-1 defeat to relegation rivals Bolton away from home, it is a pathetic excuse of a formation.

Neglecting Doyle or Ebanks-Blake isn't going to give them confidence it's an insult to them by playing 4-5-1 at home from the start which is a defensive formation, we don't need draws or losses we need goals and wins.
So what did he do instead of playing 4-4-2 or something more attacking? Like the burk he is, plays 5 across the midfield including a player who couldn't even impress in the SPL which is a million times from the quality in the EPL in Jonsson. So what does he go and do? Potentially cost us the match by being lazy and not bothering to mark Carroll at the back post then crying to himself about it after that ridiculous excuse of a tap in.

Morgan doesn't need to go, he has spent nearly £50 million on this squad over the years and I respect him for that by running this squad properly and not throwing millions at players like Portsmouth did ending up in a catastrophe not being able to prevent administration and playing pathetic football in the Championship. Moxey is fine, he's a firm negotiator and does what he is supposed to do by completing reasonable, suitable details for the club.

I reiterate, our problem is the manager. Mick needs to go now, it's time to move on. Yes, he got us here and has done a great job in the process and I'm sure everybody at Wolves will thank him for what he's done which has been tremendous for the club as a whole. But that's as far as Mick goes, he just doesn't have the ability to allow our ambitious targets to materialise in wanting to become a mid-table, settled premier league side.

And I leave my rant with a quote; as the great Charles Darwin once said:

It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.

How the hell can you back moxey twice he's over seen the teams demise in the prem once under jones now mad mick

How on earth do you even know what Moxey does behind the scenes? Everyone slates him but financially he has kept us in very good order. If a team gets relegated, usually the main reason for it is poor management and MM deserves all the criticism and not the players who play for the club.

Moxey is very astute financialy but is no good in a football enviroment its upto moxey to put the transfer package together but also realise he as performance related bonus based on the profits the club makes, the more profit the more bonus the more spent on transfers the less profit get the picture.ps stoke soon got rid look at them now

Fair point, but I think anyone in Moxey's position would do exactly the same. The problem is MM, if he goes and we bring someone in who can motivate our players and get us going with a few positive results then we will be back in shape in no time at all! The only problem is, who could we possibly bring in to replace MM?

Possibly Steve Bruce although his average performances at Sunderland have undermined him as a manager now, maybe Ray Wilkins the ex-Chelsea assistant manager who after he got sacked saw the demise of the club on a whole proves his quality. Not sure who else really, anybody know anyone else?

Mr Morgan, would you please clarify the situation regarding Mick McCarthy, to stop all these rumours once and for all.........

01 feb 2012 18:06:29

01 Feb 2012 17:38:19
See what happens when you dilly
dally about, not making a decisive
move-another club sacks a manager
with a view of moving to get Warnock
who will either get Leeds up this
season-or next-another trick missed
by Morgan. What galls me is if any
of his stooges at Redrow under
performed he would sack them-so
what the hell is going on?

Neil Warnock? Give me a break.

01 Feb 2012 16:42:37
Mick wont be sacked, because no one else will come in now, plus Mick is ideal candidate to bring us back up ... then sack him before next Prem season :-)

01 Feb 2012 16:18:59
Just seen McCarthy signing on in the jobcentre.

Was he with Neil Warnock?

01 Feb 2012 14:56:58
saw some idiotic post on here think its been taken off but it was a so called fan saying we should make a protest club called AFC wolves i think its a discrace and he should pop of down the road but the thing is 3 people agreed with him what are your takes on it personally i think its discraceful!

What does he wanna pop down the road for?? This club is a disgrace!! Money money and more money not interested in the fans the greedy t**ts!!!

These idiotic fans are the same ones that got carried away at the beginning of the season, after the great start! We have got some games coming up that we can win and get some points on the board. So anyone that cares for the club, get behind them and we might stay up!

You're a disgrace for not wanting to protest, with muppets like you about what would ever happen to democracy

Its getting desperate now so anything to make those clowns in charge take notice, we are becoming a laughing stock now its gone too far now

Wow wow wow im all for protesting but making a new wolves? The wolves i love can never be replaced i love being in the prem and i want to stay here but id be the same if we were in league 1im glad everyone wasnt like you in the 80's else we probz wouldnt exist today youe should be hung outside molineux (hope this post makes it through) pathetic excuses of fans

"Taken directly this morning from the Premier League website- Mick McCarthy premier league stats as a manager: played 122 won 19 drawn 23 lost 80 goals for 107 against 221 points 80 win percentage 16%. Mick is now the proud holder of worst performance records in win percentage, points gained and goals scored for any manager in a top European division!"

nobody can now justify MM he is officaly sh#t
mr Morgan sack this fool now

Thats not including his sunderland career so would be 200ish with 19 wins

It's a joke how he's still got a job I don't know Simon grayson at Leeds sacked with a win rate of 50% ok ain't prem league but come on Morgan he is garbage

01 Feb 2012 13:16:55
Is it true MM as only won 19 games out of 200 odd games in prem .

HELP if its true

It sounds about right. The more worrying issue (having listened to a caller on WM the other day) is that he has spent over 40 Million on 20 players!!! AND, we without any doubt have the weakest squad in overall talent in the prem. He did the same at Sunderland and filled their squad with over 30 players on long deals and decent money. The bloke is a joke in the prem and should be sacked immediately.

and he has spent just under 50 million

01 Feb 2012 12:38:29
One things for sure no matter what league were in next season Mick won't be our boss

I hope your right get warnock in now

Will be on his way to leeds we want a young manager who shows no fear of attackin teams like rodgers n lambert least its the right way to lose

01 Feb 2012 10:46:36
Mick will be axed if we lose on Saturday.

This is getting boring now he is here to end of season deal with it.

I think Roger Johnson was sent to wolves as an under cover spy. Look at what he has done. His wages, poor performances, getting the captaincy and having the audacity to criticise the fans has caused nothing but disruption. I hate him.

He won't be sacked, but he should have been a long time ago,and his mate conner, how can a team defend so badly, not forgetting that the manager was once a defender? It's been seen time, and tome again, back off, back off oh dear its too late! Surely the players must realise this isn't good enough, its git to be down to coaching and nothing else,I genuinely feel sorry for them, they must be gutted, and you can only point the finger at the ones who pick the team and coach them, its obvious that they really can't cope with the tactics needed to survive in this league let alone compete,so when will Mr Morgan take it in hand and get rid of them(MM,TC) we are as good as relegated now so rite the rest if the season off and get a manager in now to start building some confidence for next season, because I fear we will struggle in the championship aswell when we drop down.

Leeds have sacked there mamager why cant morgan got the balls to do it ,mick mccarthy can have the leeds job get mad mick out now

01 Feb 2012 10:28:58
Love it if the rumour of Mick McCarthy has been sacked but if he has then waiting till today is a ploy by Morgan and moxey so they ain't got to spend any money what a f##king shambles we have become
the board need to hang there head in shame hope u will be proud of your shiny new empty stand next year

01 Feb 2012 09:33:59
Bassong or not we are relegated !

01 Feb 2012 00:41:49
Wolves fans I gave a question... Now we have added Bassong who is a central defender, who does he replace? Berra or Johnson?

If it was me, I'd drop Johnson who has been absolutely appauling ever since he joined us rarely ever going on a consistent streak but I do admire Berra's will to fight for the club and he is genuinely a good defender so I'd go with Bassong-Berra.

No I'd drop Berra, in the past couple of weeks Johnson has looked miles better especially away from home (probably because he doesn't have the fans on his back away from home) and Berra is still a liabillity - the penalty against Villa, he about 5/6+ clearances against Tottenham and all of them went out of play and Johnson has created a few goals recently from his aerial ability from corners.
DB

Think you might be right n I also think Johnson will be gone in the summer bassong has got it all big strong powerful quite quick

Could not agree with this post more, people slating Berra winds me up no end! He has been by far and away the best centre half at the club this year!

Berra at his best is still a liability. With two and a half years Prem experience he's still capable of an incident like the penalty against Villa. I'm afraid it's the blind leading the blind when it comes to Johnson and Berra at the back.

Get em both out and put big George in with bassong,

George is a much bigger liability!

Im shocked Elekobi gets payed to play football.
