hunt outstanding again! wearing the shirt with pride!

01 Apr 2013 22:42:07
the confidence is right through the team now and we are now playing some desent stuff too. 6 games left can see at least 3 more wins and a couple of draws onwards and upwards

He always had, always gives is all when he had that bad game he only just came back after long lay off. saunders was right when he said we need 11 huntys. his graft is now running through the team

01 Apr 2013 22:58:48
Nobody here was behind Hunty when he was injured. He even got boos when he came on. Where would we be without him now? Meantime, what future for Berra, Henry and Foley?

Have to agree Glenn, he was quality today.

Have to give credit were credit his due, deano ithought you got it wrong when you brought hunty back, but you proved us all wrong, better balanced team with him in, that's no disrespect to sako, and doyle seams to be playing better with hunty in team, seams to have good understanding together, must come from playing together at reading, hope blake injury his not has serious has they are all saying, does anybody have any information on his injury.

I have to admit I was annoyed when Hunty was thrown back in as soon as he recovered from injury but on the basis of his recent form I think he's worth a new 1 year deal.

Confidence is now pouring through the whole team. Defence were excellent today. Well done Kevin Doyle, great all round game. The great escape continues, well done lads, Bolton next.

Defence were excellent?. letting in 2 goals?.

The two goals were penalties, not really letting them in are we?

01 Apr 2013 22:53:13
How did the defence let in 2 goals?

Hello, they were penalties lmao

Conceding penalties is as bad, if not worse, than conceding from open play!. use your brains instead of sitting on them!

When you are in a hole, stop digging! Penalties happen, and we get them too. At least it shows the defenders were in there trying to do what they are supposed to do. I don't think any of them can be blamed for being perpetual penalty conceders.

If you want our back 4 from 2012 back again, just say!

Oooops proberly should of checked the match stats before running your mouth lol

Johnson was man of the match for me, gorks looks better than berra and the two full backs look the business, hats off o saunders for doing something about the weak deffénce dspite his arm being tied by morgan and poxey

Bad defending - ie mistimed tackles, lunging in the penalty area instead of shepherding the play away from goal. obviously you know nothing about coaching and tactics!. are you Downo in disguise? You're just happy with a win, but I'd want a clean sheet instead of allowing Birmingham back into the game. You lot are too easily pleased with the cracks only being papered over!

01 Apr 2013 19:42:26
so its bolton next the home of mark davies the diver. I hope the referee is strong enough to handle his gamesmanship, he wasn't taught to play that way down here.

Don't need to worry about Davies diving or otherwise - in a word, cruciate. No further comment. wolfshead.

Hey guys liverpool fan here, just wanted to get your thoughts on a certain Jack Robinson? I'm hearing good things about him and just wanted to see how his loan was going. Hoping Saunders keeps you up and wish you luck for the rest of the season.

AsianRed {Ed011's Note - I really rate him, I've seen the last few games and he's been quality. Made one reckless tackle today and lost the player he was meant to be marking at another point but it's lack of experience and certainly not lack of quality.

Pretty much what Ed says. He's come in and blown Stephen Ward out of the park. can't see Wardy getting another game this season the way Robinson has been performing.

There's a future England Leftback in the making there.

Went to bristol and middlesbrough not worried to put some strong tackles in been relly impressive got your self a great left back there shame we can't keep him for good

He looks really good but wolves haven't had any decent fullbacks for 2/3 seasons so he is a breathe of fresh air to us. love to keep him

Love the lad he's young, fast, and most of all gets stuck in, takes no sh>t type of player and that's just what the wolves need.

Well done jack keep up the good work and sign for us. Haha can dream!

Absolutely drained after that game - not good for the heart. We can do this - belief has returned and the penny has finally dropped that we're in deep doo doo. Looks like SEB out now so siggy upfront and hamill on the wing or ward upfront?

We've beaten an in form team too - critics take heed!

Siggy and Doyler upfront. I'd have Hunt and Pez on the wings. That however almost certainly won't happen. I wasn't entirely convinced by Dicko today, looked sluggish, so yeah I guess it's time for Hammill to step up to the plate.

I'm also not entirely sure why DS is insisting on playing Siggy on the wing. I'm not calling for his head, but Sig looks so much sharper upfront. Sometimes Saunders does make some strange decisions

Sig and Doyler up front. Stephen Hunt was brilliant again today, so him left, preferably Pez on the right. Unlikely to happen so it's time for Hamill to step up to the plate.

Not sure why Saunders keeps putting Sig on the right, he's a lot sharper when playing up front.

Views on the new lad Dicko?I thought he looked a bit sluggish to be honest

The league table is really tight now. The fact that other clubs have a game in hand is a worry, but teams even as high up as Burnley can get dragged in. In our own hands though.

01 Apr 2013 23:08:28
It's so tight that teams chasing the play offs till we beat them are just 4 points ahead of us.

Yes the extra game is a pain, but it's better to have the points in the bag.

My theory is that teams with poor goal diff finish badly. So Huddersfield and Ipswich to go down, and Bristol City where it's probably too late. It's a theory anyway! {Ed003's Note - I have always had the same theory about goal difference}

Cheers Ed. (That was me on my mobile). Let's now see if it is true!

01 Apr 2013 18:41:02
Brilliant game today. Second half a bit edgy, however marred by SEB looks likely to be out for the season with ankle ligament damage.

I for one really hope that he signs a new contract, else that's the last we shall see of the golden boot winner.

Where we would be without his 14 goals doesn't bear thinking about

Hope Dorus isn't crocked too or we have to decide between Kello and McCarey - neither of which fills me with confidence. Great fighting performance again - finishing line in sight - keep fighting lads!

We can't have a third goalie out injured. That would expose us too much. Let's hope Dorus is OK. He's been good for us since he came back, and had to wait a long time for his chance.

01 Apr 2013 17:45:52
Well done lads another great fight of a performance.
Also I know he made one dodgy back pass but jack robinson deserves a pat on the back totaly brilliant the last two games just hope we sign him at the end of the season, sorry wardy but he's the man now and showing you right up.
Also does any one agree that since henry came on we went to sh+t, no control in midfield.
Well done lads, come on we can do this, keep faith

Wolves till I die

Henry made two great tackles but yh I have to agree we always look short of ideas when he's on the pitch.

As for robinson, he's a future england player I think and we might be very lucky having him on loan next seqson at very best

Twenty minutes to go and looks like a win. Prediction, those going down Bristol city Huddersfield and Blackburn, well deserved for the Venkys!

We wish!

Agree with Huddersfield. Their run has come to an end and their goal difference is the worst in the league. Blackburn - well, maybe. They have the talent on the field but **** for brains off of it.

Posh to stay up. Ipswich or Barnsley to take the third spot. That assumes we don't have a melt-down.

01 Apr 2013 10:57:33
Would seem like a good time for a 'resurrection' of our league status!

At the start of the year, when we were slipping down the top half of the table, I predicted we'd finish 14th. Seemed negative then, but now, dare I hope?

Get ready for April fools jokes

Yeh - like Paulo DiCanio to Sunderland!

1 April was remarkable in that this site seemed to be devoid of any new contrived rumours!
