i do agree with the comment about the express and star. martin swain in particular appears to revel in taking a swipe at the wolves and compar ing us with the s--t. I have stopped buying the rag on a saturday because it has gone upto 60p, and it won't take much to give it a miss altogether. they and martin swain need to be reminded that they are based in our town, yes our town, and they had better not forget it.

I thought we were a CITY. but only in name

Martin swaine his only telling you the truth do you want him to tell you lies and say we are playig better than the s*** anyway his son supports for wolves as far has I know

There is a big difference between truthful reporting, and constantly reminding us how low we have sunk. He builds in a comparison to Sandwell in every article. Does he enjoy rubbing our noses in it? Perhaps we need reminding what this board have done to the club. Maybe he should less washy washy and point the finger at the management a lot more. #stillseething

Dont now what your all moaning about martin swaine, for we have more problems at our f. c. than knocking him, he his just high lighting the mistakes made at our f. c. over the last few years, and due to his reporting of our mistakes made year in and year out will help the club look at the mistakes we have made and hopefully will start to get better from now on, so I for one am all for it, if the f. c. has not been run right, the same applies if we start winning football matches, I would like then for martin swaine to give we some praise, if not then I would agree with you about his reporting but you have to be honest and say there has been nothing good to say about wolves for a few years. wolfy

Oh no! Just looked on tv page and we are already bottom of League One.
Hope its not an omen.

Yeah, shame Yeovil got promoted - they would have been bottom then. Still, the only way is up (or Lg 2 but let's not go there).

We are favourites to go up. Almost evens. (Yes I know that means only 50/50). But we were second favourites for promotion last season and we know what happened there.

Yeovil are favourites to go down, for what it's worth. Maybe either us or them will have the unenvious record of never being off the bottom the table the whole season!

I think anything less than 12 points in august is not acceptble!

Any 1 hear any more bout dan seaborne?anything less than 12 points grow up, just get behind them we r wolves

You could say anything other than 138 points by the end of the season would be unacceptable, because we're the biggest team in the league. However we are not a Premier League team anymore and we obviously don't have PL players (other than O'Hara apparently?)

Anything can happen in football and anyone can be beat. Whilst I'm quite relaxed about this season and expect us to finish at least in the play-offs. I don't think we should be saying we want X amount of points by such and such a date. Because if/when we don't achieve those targets that's when the negativity from the fans starts to set in. And for me that is a major responsibility for us fans to boot out this season.

When a player does something wrong let's not blast abuse at him. let's get behind him and help him forget about that mistake. Maybe then some of the players would play their hearts out for us. I mean you wouldn't shout abuse at your kids if they did something wrong would you?

But even to have an expectation of finishing in the play-offs means we have to achieve a points tally in or around 75 - 80 points. Mind you we could put a smile on everyone's face and with a couple of more wins top the division.

All fine and dandy, it's just that with most of the senior squad likely to be on its way in the next few months (about twelve players at a guess) - does anyone know who exactly will be playing for us in the coming season? No.

Defence, especially, and midfield need major restructuring, with a strong target man presence required in the forward line. In-bound transfers - eight to ten - will be absolutely crucial.

So basically I agree, let's see who fills the key positions in the team and the overall squad strength before we put any expectations of winning League One on them.
wolfshead.

Well we couldn't beat Huddersfield, Peterboro or Burnley with SEB, Sako and Hunt in the team, so let's not assume that the L1 teams will be a walkover for what's left of the squad.

We made that mistake last season.

When our manager refers to Preston as a big club, I think the mind set of the club is revealed. I worry that the club will use the "rebuilding" cliche as a smokescreen to cover the lack of ambition. In fact, who knows what the club's goal is this season? Promotion, or not losing money?

Started already talking stupid, and saying 12 points in august, we have got to earn our points they are not going to give we anything and if we get behind the team instead of keep knocking them we will be alright, has long has we get enough points to get promotion I couldn't care if we dont, that will be the time to have your say but until then repeat we must get behind our team because has kj has said he will be playing a lot of our young kids, which we the fans wanted. wolves for life. wolfy

You know, I'd almost forgotten the plight we are in, so I would like to thank the Express and Star for reminding me of our "double relegation slump". They never miss a trick when they can have a swipe, do they? Are their reporters all from Sandwell? Mind you, looking at the standard of their grammar, they probably are.
