I saw most of the league highlights and I noticed that championship football is changing. Pace and vision is taking over from blood and guts... I used to think i liked blood and guts, but it was just what I was used to. It could win games at this level, and thats what is most important. Right?

We aspire to the premiership but not just to make up the numbers to compete. For three years we made up the numbers, "Put in a shift" but made up the numbers.

Now, lets remember Fulham when they bought in Tigana they changed the way championship football was played, smashed the league and established themselves as a PL constant...

Everything needs time. Act in haste repent at leisure what Wolves needed (maybe for 20 years) is modernisation. right the way through.

Bottom up, or top down thats a good question? Whether you like it or not football is a business and if judged that way, we are PL or even CL, so, top down is wrong all you persons shouting upwards are fools.... up ther we are CL...

So, bottom up... our academy boast som talented toung guys but posting constantly to "Give them a chance" when it is all to easy to see what you lot (actually I only mean some of you) will do to them via media like this and any of the spewing vitriol I hear on match day would do to their confidence.

I have seen them... They play hoofball... They need to embrace a new concept.... FOOTBALL and to be bred into a team which is adaptive intelligent and responsive. The reason soooooo many o our ex-payers come back to haunt us is that they really were good and WE (as a club) wearn't.

So, the academy and facilities are working OK as we work from the bottom up... next is the reserves and first team. The mainstraem playing staff (both teams) are not good enough as they stand. They are trying to gel in this new game FOOTBALL. fact is some are never going to get it... They need to be replaced...Its not about spending BIG money, you can do that and get nowhere... but about finding the players with the wit and skill to play the typre of football you NEED to play to survive the PL.

The definition of madness is doing the same thing again and again and expecting a different result...

We have no choice now but to support the club and management to find a way to break us free rom the shackals of the past and to get us moving forward being as most of the negative output I read on this site is posted by people who are neither football manangers, nor, have much money, let alone invest their hard earned in football, and support the Wolves...

I welcome any legible response...

I for one could not agree more with this post your rite what you say rite down to the fullstop, at last a bit of sense spoken about our great Club. WFE

Yes I agree. Anyone who has worked as a manager in any business knows that any reorganisation is not an overnight solution, and staff have to get used to new ways of working. Consequences of a reorganisation in one area could mean that other areas would also need changes. However it needs strong experienced management to make these changes work. Not sure if we have such, considering the TC catastrophe.

I agree that the TC debarcle was a shambles but it was during a season and there was very little options going around at the time... We have to have faith that lessons were learned and that with time the new system will come good.

Team to face Forest
Pierce, Sunderland, Parkin, Bailey, Munro, Lescott,
Hibbitt, Ince, Dougan, Richards, Wagstaffe..............................if only

Bully over Richards

Richards proven at top level-Bull not

John Richards.......SUPERB! Should've been an England regular!

Steve Bull......SUPERB! Should've been an England regular!

I've been so lucky to see BOTH of them in their prime, scoring for fun for Wolves!

No Andy Gray No Emlyn Hughs, No Willie Carr and NO Steve Bull??

Gray injury prone didn't score enough goals. Hughes was past his best too slow, Carr good shout but the selected ones were better than him, Bull close but not proven at top level

So getting selected by the great Sir Bobby Robson to play for England at the world cup even though playing in the second tier is not proven?

In fact Richards won just one cap for England and didn't score Bull won 13 caps with 4 goals..... So who was not proven?

Bit old arent they? ...don't think they can even run anymore!

No Billy Wright?

What a disgrace that we are 16th in the Championship and you know who are in the places for Europe, maybe the pro-Morgan, Moxey and
Stolbakken brigade would like to explain this
horror phenomenon?

Yawn, ..stop thinking about wba and concentrate on wolves! ..not interested in what they do, ..even though i can tell you they won't be in the euro places come the end of the season!

I'm concentrating on Wolves-hence the observation-clearly you are not.

Well if you've got one eye on WBA you obviously aren't concentrating on us are you. Boo hoo they're 4th at the moment - who cares!? ...they don't even register with me!!

-Wolves banter-
Everyone is blaming SS Morgan and moxey for us losing games?
Maybe he didn't spent enough , maybe he didn't buy the right people? only time will tell..

people are jumping to the assumption that its all SS's Fault well i blame the staff behind him , Has NOONE! realized when we had our old staff from the old regime we were winning , now we have ''HIS'' staff we are losing? Personally think this may have something to do with it!

18 Nov 2012 13:51:54
the ref spoiled the game am i slow or have i failed to notice football has become a non contact sport its become a haven for ridiculous refs cheats and divers defenders cant defend theyre frightened to tackle berra did nothing wrong to send him off was disgraceful that decision gifted the points to watford the jury is still out on stale but i think he will come good given time

18 Nov 2012 11:27:15
Right it was bad ref that sent berra off but this team only seem to get in gear when someone is sent off so really they should be ripping teams apart with 11 men on the pitch,
Now seriously this can not go on so something needs to change in the next 3/4 games or it will be relegation battle for sure, for god sake this is the worst championship i have seen in many a year and we are crap.
Stale get ass in gear mate cos you probably got the best squad in this division and best financially backed club.
There should be no excuses for this.

I backed SS from the off but now im getting abit worried

You have £350m in the bank its took you all of your working life to get that. you buy wolves for £10 with the promise you will put £30m into the club. you put the 30 plus another say 20-30. you now have £290m in the bank you could put £100m worth of players in the club and have them win some silver ware within 5 years but after that they will start to decline because them players are costing you a fortune to pay and your now in the red and there is no way for the club to pay the debt off because its running at a loss so you have to pay the debts your self.

Steve Morgan does not have £350m in the bank through making daft decisions. he is a cleaver man and has worked hard for what he has today. It would be silly and careless of him to pour the dosh into our club. We would end up in debt and running at a loss and he would have to pay it off or sell up OR HAVE THE ADMINISTRATORS COME IN. If some of you had that kind of money judging by your comments it would not last you very long because you all invest, invest, invest with no long term plan. Tony Fernandez has invested in QPR look where they are. Football is not that simple lads and ladies.

I was speaking to some one the other day. And they said this.

them- " I'd love it if some megga money Russian would buy us. Pump money in, get us into the champions league, win some silverware. Then after that i wouldn't mind if we ended up like Pompey"
Me- "Are you serious? be a big club again then rapidly fall down the leagues just for some silverware"
Them- "Yeah it would be great and it wouldn't matter if we rapidly decline because at least we would have won something"

My question is what would you all choose?

Steve Morgan is money mad and only in this for a profit making exercise.

No one is saying for him to use all his money, the club has made money from transfers etc,use that.also,if he didnt want to put money in ,why did he buy wolves in the first place.

Yes if the likes of southampton can spend far more then us why if its too much mr morgan sell up

Southampton didn't have over 10000 empty seats in the championship either! And they are still in the relegation areas. And he has put money into the club. do you not understand simple business principals? ill dumb it down for you. Jimmy has £2000, he buys 100 crates of pop for £1000, he employs 5 people to help sell the pop and pays them £250 each. he cant sell all of the pop in time of the sell buy date so he makes a loss instead of a profit. simples

If we want sucsess we must spend and then we will reap the rewards,ie no empty seats, prize money more merchandise sales etc.

SPEND SPEND SPEND! But.......only on the best coaches you can afford - just look at Ajax!! That's the true blueprint to follow!

It's funny how you only mention QPR and Pompey and not Chelsea and Man City.

Man city and chelski have billionaire owners. morgan dont even have half of that cant really compare tbh....... person!
