In the middle of all the dross that we are desperate to lose, let's take time to wish a real stalwart of the club a long and happy retirement. Jody craddock we salute you.

17 May 2013 18:11:18
this is the same seb that palace offered a million for now we set him off for nout brill zubar all over again

Well we needed him to play last season, so £1mil would have been useless for us.

I know we got relegated anyway, but it's entirely possible that if SEB hadn't have picked up that injury, we'd have got enough points from our last few matches to stay up.

17 May 2013 16:32:28
ok so we've put a few players on list.
How bout ohara Johnson Doyle foley ward.
Sack the lot we don't want these players to wear the shirt ever again.

Not on list. They're gone contract at end and not renewed. Likely be another list of names for whom we are willing to listen to offers. This will hopefully contain all the above and others.

Totaly agree, get rid of these so called players that mick left.

Totally agree.

Can't let go of players on contract without paying them off. Maybe that will happen, who knows?

Moxey's first task will be to try and sell these players, of that we can be sure.

17 May 2013 16:20:19
Just in case he gets the job can I be the first to say.

Sack Jackett now!

Warnock now fav. as everyone else has turned it down! What a shambles of a club.

There's a bit of an "anyone but Warnock" campaign out there. Is he really so bad?

17 May 2013 15:43:02
I do wish people would read things before they spout off.

My initial response to the lose of SEB and Hunt was the same as others, that it is Moxey shafting us up the rear again but I rather prove beyond all doubt he is a rick without a P than assume he is.

It does not make sense to sell or buy anyone whilst we have no manager but if our website is correct and we do have to confirm details by a set date of players we are to retain then yes it does make sense to release these players just in case the new manager does not want them.

But this is where Moxey will illustrate if he is either

1) A complete tw*t

2) A complete tw*t who puts money above all else

To prove point 1, all he needs do is wake up each morning, job done.

To prove point 2 again he has to wake up, but then he can prove beyond doubt by not doing any of the following

1) offering SEB / Hunt short term deals or even a "pay as you play" so the new manager has first refusal

2) agreeing to buy players wanted by Thewell and the new manager

3) not agreeing to sell at a big loss RJ / KH / JOHN just to clear out the cancers

Jez has set his stall out clearly know and we should judge him on this, he has no manager to blame, Morgan is not walking, THewell is advising

There is no where to hide Jez, you are the person calling all the shots either prove us wrong with a summer of investments in quality not kids with potential or b*gger off to America

Warwick, your post has some strength, however, Moxey is poison and will not change. He has made so many bad calls it's untrue and he seems to remain blameless.
I have business contacts who know him and they all say the same " he looks after himself" He will continue to do this and until there is enough pressure from supporters he is going nowhere,
GET MOXEY OUT

Are you serious? Firstly SEB has publicly said he didn't want league one football and hunt is a high earner who will easily get a contract elsewhere, so why on earth would he want a 'pay as you play'.

Essentially these are players who havnt performed to the standard you would expect, and have no doubt discussed this with the club long before you or I ever hear news like today's.

If Moxey did as you say put money above all else then surely we would have sold SEB back last summer or even cashed in back in January.

IMO Moxey is a well paid bloke simply for persons who don't understand business to use as a scape goat. His job is financial and nothing more.

And how on earth is Jez calling the shots? Someone had better tell Morgan that someone has stolen his money/club

We need to get real here. Income next season will be down again from last season, and our wage bill is far too high. We will run at a huge loss as things stand, which as history has shown, is bad news for a football club.

I doubt SEB and Hunt want "pay as you play" coontracts in L1 when they can get permanent contracts in the Championship, perhaps being paid much of what they are on at the moment.

And we don't know the futyre of Henry, Foley, O'Hara, Doyle etc. I'm sure they will be in the shop window. However I have a sneaking suspicion Foley will be playing for us next season, and will probably do OK against L1 teams.

Our problem will be that we may not hang on to our younger first team players. Sako will certainly leave for a good fee. Siggy will have his fans and probably Tongo too. Boukari has much to offer and Margritter hasn't been given a chance - and it's hard to know what will happen to these two.

Which leaves our home-grown talent, many of us are the future. Probably in L1 they are. Experience will probably come from Elokobi and Foley and perhaps Hammill if he stays. If we sign an experienced forward then it will be someone the manager rates. Hard to see who will be captain, however. Maybe a new person.

17 May 2013 15:12:57
Gus Poyet next wolves manager no coincidence he left Brighton, when Brighton played at mol one of his players took pics of the new stand and when asked he stated this is the beggining of a new era, watch this space,

17 May 2013 13:49:37
Sylvan Ebanks-Blake, Stephen Hunt and Christophe Berra

released

i hope we get relegated to league two our club is just a joke making big decisions like this without a manager

and also west brom linked to sako

j craddock retires but gets testimonial

bad day to be a wolves fan

Sounds harsh, but many people here have called for a clear-out, and to give youngsters a chance.

Henry and Ward the obvious names missing from that list - perhaps interest from Ipswich? Doyle and Johnson will also be sold.

How can any Wolves fan wish for us to be relegated again. Disgraceful.

Agree with that, here we go again just because we are letting blake, hunt go, so what, time for a change injured anyway most of time let's move on and get behind new coach whoever he his and get the good times back, and start playing some football at molineux and then we will all be happy again. wolfy

At least 70 grand a week saved so what is the problem. SEB will never be the player he was 5 years ago, Berra will never be any Berra thn Bathh. Hunt as much as I love the effort he puts in, he's too expensive for us now in L1 and was he really worth his £35k per week?

Good comment, need to move johnston, ohara, ward and henry as well then, I will be looking foreward to next year, and watch we play some good football I hope, with a new coach with new ideas must get it right this time. wolfy

17 May 2013 13:35:43
SEB, Hunt and Berra have all bee released by Wolves. Who else do you think will leave?

Hopefully Johnson, Henry and O'Hara!

Surprised those three aren't on the list too. Perhaps there is interest from other clubs for these.

Jonsson and Ward would be the other obvious candidates.

17 May 2013 13:32:16
wolves release Sylvan Ebanks-Blake, Stephen Hunt and Christophe Berra what a joke for free its ronald zubar all over again

How is it a joke? They was out of contract and made it clear they wouldn't accept a new one

I guess they are high earners. I would have kept Hunt, but maybe he was happy to be free.

They were all out if contract and Probably didn't want too sign a new deal

17 May 2013 12:41:33
No way can we sell Sako to sandwell. Surley we would all go mental!

TDW

I wouldn't if he wants to go let him, get good price for him and build anew team

Depends how much they offer and what the terrms are. After last season there seems to be very few that have the desire to play for us.

JMSC

17 May 2013 12:32:55
So the exit begins. And what if a new manager had wanted to keep a couple of these or release the likes of Edwards.
Ok, so Thelwell is involved, but managers should make these decisions.
Wolves getting the basics wrong again.
Do you think Fergie, Wenger or any other top managers would let other people decide who stays and who go's.
The place stinks.
GET MOXEY OUT.

Fergie, Wenger and other top managers would not be in our League 1 position now would they.

JMSC

Its obvious johnston, ohara and sako will go, we can't get rid of everybody so like thelwell says he as extended a few of the players contracts with the options of one year extensions, so new coach can see who he wants and who he dont, hunt and blake was never going to play in div 1, hunts wages would be to much, blake wants to play at higher level, what I would like now his to get rid of ward, henry, build team around sigardson, batth, doherty, goalkeepers we have in ikeme, hennessey if we can keep him and give griffiths and hammill another chance if it don't work move them on, and lastly some creative players needed who have an eye for a goal as well what a change that would be, then mr morgan and mr moxey your stadium will get full, and can you stop penny pinching and give the fans something back in return for the mistakes you have both made, the reduction you have given his not enough, and you must get bums on seats with the stadium we have by any means, even if its kids for half price or big reductions in family tickets anything as long we don't play in an empty stadium week in and week out, let's get this club back to were it belongs and show that you have some feelings for the fans. wolfy

17 May 2013 12:14:15
I'm happy to see Danny get a contact extension but no thanks to headless chicken Edwards. And ebanks to go on a free I'd at least get a couple mil for the goals he scored in champ but hopefully we can build on these departures sell some more deadwood and under performers and try bring In a a few young decent players loan or buy either way to get back up.
Come on you wolves

17 May 2013 11:54:34
gus poyet has been suspended at brighton. looks like his time may be up there. time to make our move me thinks

Suspended because he refused to say he won't apply for the Everton Job. There is a big difference there, he wants premiership football and we are even further away from that than Brighton

Quite. We probably can't even land the Yeovil manager just now.

17 May 2013 11:41:05
Leigh Griffiths, Big George, Dave Edwards and Danny Batth have signed contract extensions.

But so long SEB and Hunty. I for one am sorry to see them leave, although SEB was obviously going to go. Too good for the division we now sit in. Thanks for everything and best of luck to both of them

17 May 2013 10:17:51
Steve Davis had his odds cut to 5-1.
I would give him the job, tell him to sell 75% of the current first team squad and start again.
GET MOXEY OUT.

The second part of that task is already under way.

17 May 2013 07:39:02
Im struggling to get my head around Chris Powell. Why have approached Charlton to speak to him. Surely he doesn't come into the reckoning with Coyle and McClaren. There can be no comparisons to make surely. UNLESS. Unbeknown to us fans people are starting to rule themselves out of the equation, for instance the two names mentioned above. don't have any facts. Just a thought.

Highley Wolf

Yes me 2 have no idea, but he's 5/1

Powell is a better manager than either Coyle or McClaren.

We haven't approached him, he's indicated he's interested. Not sure why he wants to drop a league but got promotion from league one, has worked wonders on a limited budget an not afraid to play the kids. Ticks a lot of boxes for the job, young up and coming manager. We could do a lot worse imo

This is morgan/ moxley all the way day they both clear off wolves will move forwards

17 May 2013 07:06:32
Wolves are interested in Chris Powell from Charlton. He got them promoted quite comfortably and did pretty good this year on a limited budget and supposedly Charlton won't step in his way if he wants to go surprisingly. What are your thoughts?

17 May 2013 06:01:00
What about Gus Poyet, just been suspended by Brighton!
