Thought I'd post this on here as Sandwell Town is not a big enough club to have their own rumour site! The new manager wants to take them into Europe - best get planning some pre-season friendlies over there then cos' that's the only way you'll get there

I know he is old (35) bit Chris iwelumo has left Scunthorpe but be was realy good holding up the ball when we had him before. Cheap & cheerful would fit bill as impact plauer. Certainly not as old as Kevin Phillips!
He's looked a bit dog eared of late and would still want a decent pay packet for a bench warmer in the main.
He's Going to Walsall.

I think Jacket has recognised the challenge of winning regularly at home when your pitch is one of the biggest in the division and the opposition is ultra motivated. All the players he has brought in are strong athletes as well as decent on the ball. We are building a playing style based on pace and speedy movement of the ball, which is probably why sako's value is in doubt. On the face of it Siggy should fit into this approach and if we were rumoured to be signing him most of us would be pretty excited. Playing one up front requires a particular range of skills, including the ability to hold the ball up until midfield arrive. Just a few years ago Doyle was one of the best at this in the country. We couldn't afford to go out and buy these players now but circumstances dictate they have to be replaced. I guess this is the cost of relegation.
