Just been looking at Goal of the Season choices. My thinking is that I'll discard free kicks and I'll discard daisy cutters that somehow get through defences. All fine goals but I can't choose them all. That leaves me with Griffiths vs Gillingham, Dicko vs Vale (second) and McAlinden vs MK. Kind of the past, present and future. Kind of.

Goal of the Season really has to show solo skill as it goes to just one person. So of those 3 I vote for Dicko and his Zidane-esque wizardry beating 2 Vale defenders and putting it away. Honourable mentions to Griff whose goal announced that Wolves meant business and to McAlinden whose header had the biggest feel-good moment of the season for me.

What do others think?

Dicko's 2nd VS Vale for me. The quality he showed scoring that is unlike anything I've seen at wolves for a while. The composure he showed flicking the ball over the two defenders and slotting the ball into the net. 2 minutes after scoring, was pure class. His goal VS Swindon was good too. And if there was an award for assist of the season then I'd give it to Sako for the ball he played to Dicko's goal of the season.

I did Jacobs vs brentford because of sako and golbournes teamwork and skill, then the finish. Also the fact it was such an important game and although the game was already won we weren't doing it to a defence that didn't look much better than a Sunday league one

3 goals at Brentford must surely be Wolves at the peak.

Otherwise I'd choose Liam's.

Can we vote for Rickett's stonker of a kick against Rotherham?

Henrys screamer v Leyton Orient would be apt after winning the league.
