Amazing that we've had an unbeaten start to League One and have actually spent a reasonable amount of money (considering how dire our finances probably look at the moment), yet people are still criticising Moxey, Morgan and the team. Pipe down. We have a manager who talks a lot of sense and is delivering results on the pitch. With the talent of the likes of Siggy, Griff, Batth, Ismail, Evans etc. are showing, We'll be back in the Championship in no time.

Hertfordshire Wolf

Sako to forest on loan to a perminant move in jan.

Forest looking to take Doyle and sako on loan to perminent deals in jan.

Doyle going to forest on loan.

Forest to take Ikeme, Batth, Doherty, Zeli, Evans, Siggy and Griffiths on loan with permanent deals in Jan.

That's 7 players - what are you on?

Wolves should watch egor filipenko from BATE he is fast and should be cheap and has low wages

Our odds of signing a player from the likes of Borisov are 0 at the moment. Maybe when we're back in the Championship we'll be in a position to attract players from Europe.

Foreigners like to play in England and if were doing well in January and are top with 50 odd points its worth an inquiry.
And were famous out in eastern Europe because of our success in the 50's and 60's

European football or league one, you take your pick

Take a risk and make an offer, he's only worth £700k and he's played in turnips so he would be good

While This has been a good start to the season, we have a massive problem with the pace of the defence, as goldbourne is the only defender with any pace so quick attackers will rip us to shreds, like Leighton orients mooney, while having a funny name is unbelievably pacy and would destroy any of ricketts, batth or Doherty for pace, there fine defenders but no pace between them.
Stearman has a bit more pace than the others but even he doesn't have enough, the sort of organisation I believe we need is like so:

Goldborne Ricketts Stearman Doherty

Batth is interchangeable with ricketts and we need to get a pacy center half on loan to play inside Doherty.

Are you serious? Batth has been our best defender this year closely followed by doherty! Losing them would kill us. Stearman isn't reliable, I agree ricketts gets done on the wing so put him in the centre with batth with it going like

ikeme
doherty batth ricketts golbourne

ricketts is a great captain, this would be my defence, and pace isn't everything like in fifa, if you can position yourself well its a struggle for a striker to break through. Believe me i'm a striker and I don't have anything to write home about with pace but I honestly find it easier to play against with defenders with pace than players who can position themselves well

Forest are to sign sako with view to a permanent deal in jan.

WHAT - you're dropping Batth! The best defender we have had in 2 years, priceless.

Forest can have him, went AWOL on Saturday, rather have siggy

Forest can put up the required funds, or go forth and multiply with Notts county across the Trent

Are you basing this on playing FIFA? How much pace do Vidic/Ferdinand, Terry/Cahill, Distin/Jagielka etc all have?

There aren't that many pacey CB's around to be honest!

All pacey defenders do is rely on pace to bail them out on bad positional sense ala Kyle Walker, Glen Johnson.

Good defenders make up for lack of pace with all the other attributes!

Good feedback Wilko. And isn't the modern game so much about position? How often do we see, especially on TV, goals going in because the defenders are caught ball-watching.

What made John Terry such a great defender? It wasn't his pace.

Paddy Harris has been playing to much FIFA! PACE PACE PACE.

Pace if you are playing wing backs. And I think our FBs are pacy enough for the style we play. Or we would have kept Ward and Hunt. For CBs, why is pace so important? We must continue with Danny Batth.

As I said batth and ricketts are interchangeable but you have to admit against Swindon mason and co. burnt our whole defensive line

Slowest player I ever saw on a football pitch was a guy named Bobby Moore, you might have heard of him, Paddy.

just stupid, no matter how much you hope and pray danny batth will not become bobby Moore, there compleatly different styles of play, Moore was a footballing center half and bath just isn't, and that's forgetting the noticeable ability difference.a slow thug type center half is great as long as you have a quick footballer next to him.
Ricketts is not quick.

Yes but we don't have bobby Moore do we, anyway batth and Moore are compleatly different styles of play as Moore was a footballing center half and batth is a thug type center half, let alone the obvious ability difference, my point is bath is great when he has someone running straight at him but when they go past he can't catch them an ricketts isn't fast enough to make the ground either

Also I don't think batth is our best defender we've had in the last 2 years, zubar was.

Well its took Harry Rednapp just 6 games to realise that Karl Henry is crap. his dropped him already

A lot of you guys would disagree but Davis isn't quite cutting it at the minute and if only kj doesn't get any loan signings in u would actually start to use j.ohara if he's training we'll and he had the right attitude and he hasn't bin loaned out were paying his wages so why not. Throw him on bench and see how he goes

Appears midfield is the problem area at the moment for the reasons you say. Would I rule out O'Hara? - no, but we need to explore other options. I don't think that any of those put out to graze will find their way back. O'Hara would be the exception if he did.
wolfshead.

I agree Davis crap play o'hara

I don't think Davis is crap per se, he;s got bags of talent, but he's still too raw to be thrown full on into the first team yet. He had a poor game yesterday for sure, and I worry that his rawness will affect Evans too.

Providing his head's in the right place, I can't see why playing O'Hara would hurt at all. Muppet or not, he's still a good player and his experience could well help DD and LE's careers

On his performance against us I'd get mason from swindon.

But you wouldn't play Macdonald and O'Hara as the 2 CM's as neither do the defensive side.

Davis is hit and miss but its clear he has talent. Seemingly a lot of our fans don't seem to like the holding midfielder and just want pretty on the ball players. Trouble then is who wins it back and breaks up oppostion attacks?

Did anybody go yesterday. Seems a bit quiet on here lately, or are all the Eds on holiday?

Personally, DB and CI fantastic. bit lucky, ok a lot lucky. Like the look of Swindon's Mason.

DD had a nightmare, but will do alright another day.

Sorry don't rate DD, I think he is a weak link and been bigged up by wolves fans. been confused at why all the fuss about him from the start

Spot on there. I think ikeme is a world class keeper and just needs to eradicate the occasional silly error from his game. Danny Batth is definately solid there at CB, but personally I prefer Stearman as his partner. Although I really rate David Davis and the fans give him a hard time, I think we could do with someone like Foley to hold us together in the centre of the park. At the moment, teams seem able to drift right through the centre of midfield.

Hertfordshire Wolf

I wouldn'y trust Foley anywhere on the pitch any more, he needs moving on and replacing

Is that the same Foley who scored the winner?

Foley scored a goal and that thinks his superstar, let's forget the last 2/3 seasons shall we

Siggi set up the goal .why isn't he starting, he does more that sako and doyle

Foley injured for large part of last season so yes let's forget that! Give him a go - mr reliable once and ex player of the season too. Still very composed on the ball and more experienced than Davis who was poor yesterday.

I agree siggy does do more than Doyle and Sako.
