I think the summer will show if paul Lambert has the stomach for it and Fosuns ambitions. if half the squad are thre we will simply tread water in mid table again.

Just back from the match and putting mildly we have a lot of work to do we were poor at best . Paul lambert sure has his work cut out over the summer . The only positive from this match is Brighton didn't score anymore . We all knew that the transition season was going to be a rough season just not this rough . we always get on to refs and linesmen for not knowing what there doing, now I think it's time we give our players there job descriptions and see if that helps . as always that's our team and that's our manager we need to get behind them .

Brighton outplayed us in every position full stop. That is what we have to aspire to and God knows how long that will take with the shower of a squad we have.

Agree Derbywolf they did outplay us in every position however mate I don't think there a patch on the two wolves teams that won promotion. The championship this season is a very poor league imo but we are way off the mark there lots to do this summer and fosun have big decisions to make. Doncaster wolf I'm sorry mate but I can't agree with you about the forwards I don't think there is a striker in the first team squad that will get you 10 goals in a season never mind 20. IMO I wouldn't sign weimann, Bod/ Mason work hard but there's no end product and I'm sorry to say this guys but Dicko will never be the same player again and as for Paul Gladon well how s**t must this guy be to not even get a game. Get your checkbook out Fosun we need at least 3 new forwards.

Agree DerbyWolf, as I've said before were a one man team and its proved it again today, we need to keep Costa and build round him. Sorry everyone no positives today, oh maybe one, the pitch looked good.

1877 Stlukes, no problem mate, I understand your criticism of the forwards but my point is that until we get a midfield in place that functions and supports both the defence AND the attack, it almost doesn't matter who we play up front as they will continue to get no service whatsoever.

Frankly, of the starting XI of today, the only players I would even consider keeping would be Cavaleiro, Bod and Marshall and even the last two names are debatable. This team needs more surgery than a heart transplant patient.

We need a midfield enforcer and experienced defenders. Basically we need Lambert to do what Dave Jones did 14 years ago and find the modern day Paul Ince and Denis Irwin.

Oh and PT yes grass was nice and green, but thought they could have done nice zig zag pattern with a circlcircle so from the air it spelt SOS.

Two great shouts Jas I'd love to see that kind of player down here both are winners and just what is needed. Has for the striker's your right Doncaster wolf there hasn't been no real service to them all season but I just don't think that any of them are out and out goal scorers. There's only Dicko who I'd keep but only for back up Bod for me never gets himself in the box he works hard but I just think he's the icelantic version of Andy keogh and will never score you enough goals 2/ 3 new forwards please.

Batth has not turned into a bad player. I think his best season was when he had the experienced Sam Ricketts playing alongside him. Williamson fits the bill but is never fully fit. If Terry is not an option how about someone like Richard Keogh from Derby.

Terry Keogh and Carrick all good names and all would improve our team. As u say their players with experience and all leaders. Just like Ince Irwin and Alex Rae.

Simply not good enough Wolves and today's shambles shows just how much work is needed IF we are to make any sort of an attempt at promotion next season.
1. Far too many stupid mistakes, particularly by defence and midfield
2. We were a yard slower than Brighton all through the game
3. We have no midfield
4. We don't score goals because our striker (s) receive NO support from midfield. Don't blame the strikers - Messi wouldn't score with this rubbish service. Our first attempt on target was in the 75th minute!
5. We are naive and hardly any of our players can ever anticipate where the ball or the play will go next. They're like a bunch of spaniels chasing after balloons
6. Why can't ANY of our defenders EVER head the ball to one of their own team?
All of the above is only scratching the surface of our problems. There is so much more to say.

Total agreement Batth, Hause are not good enough on the ball and give it back to the other team all the time, midfield are the same. We need a good clear out and bring in some quality, the fans deserve more than this and we are still in a relegation fight.

Couldn't agree more, that back four need to be binned along with the non existent midfield, no leadership, can't defend can't hold the ball, can't find a team mate, too much emphasis on long balls, as for the keeper, where would you begin,7 or 8 players need shipping out and replacing, promotion is at least3 or 4 seasons away.

Can we start the clear out with the clueless fool masquerading as a manager. He is a joke and please don't try and defend him Lambert lovers, it's like watching kjs last few months again. The football is awful and to put it mildly, painful to watch. We are no better than with zenga but at least it was entertaining. Hopefully fosun can see this and do something about it and anyone saying his two signings have improved us are having a laugh.

Agree the back 4 are in need of a face lift, but why is it always batth and hause that are singled out? Doc was terrible today and has been for weeks but always seems to escape criticism.
