Why are we so boring when it comes to pre-season friendlies, play a few decent teams that might actually challenge us for once! Or give us a chance to watch us combat some PL teams seeing as friendlies or the cup is the only way that's going to happen anytime soon!

Because if we did that we would get hammered, builds confidence for us to play against lesser teams, gives a winning feeling. What's the point in playing Man City when we can't beat Bolton?!
At the moment some fans will literally complain about everything the club does. SMH.

We played Villa in a warm-up last summer. We normally play a decent Spanish team as well every summer.
Why not the likes of Watford or Swansea this year?
We didn't exactly get hammered at Upton Park in a competitive cup match recently, did we? A lucky 1-0 win for West Ham, who were too good for Man U.
We definitely need to stretch ourselves in the warm-ups, as well as having some easy games.

What about a tour of Germany plenty decent teams outside top div - st paule for one don't expect huge teams but good level for a challenge be good or maybe club finally thinking about fans and expense of travel / tickets trying keep costs down.

Would love a pre-season Midlands Cup! Wolves, West Brom, Villa and Birmingham in an Emirates Cup-style tournament. That would be electric!

Midlands cup not much fun for Walsall they even get beat by small health and villa would be a guaranteed 3pts 😂.

What a tournament that would be! Sadly I think the Old Bill would put the block on. The potential for aggro is too great.
